Allinnettes Adigue

Director, GRI ASEAN Network

Dr. Allinnettes Go Adigue is the Head of the ASEAN Regional Hub of the Global Reporting Initiative. As Head of GRI’s ASEAN Hub, Ally is tasked to promote the practice of sustainability reporting across Southeast Asia by working with relevant stakeholders to create a conducive policy environment for sustainable business practices, promote wider adoption of sustainability reporting and build the capacity of organizations in sustainability reporting.

A lifelong learner and a global citizen, Ally has lived in 3 continents in the past 19 years. Prior to GRI, Ally has previously worked for the academe, and both the public and private sectors. While working on her PhD, she worked as a graduate research assistant in the field of Climate Change Policy and Economics. She also worked in a retail electricity company in Singapore and for the Office of the President of the Philippines. Ally earned her PhD on Public Policy from the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University in 2017. She has two Masters degrees: one in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University, The Netherlands; and another in Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore. She also has Bachelor’s degrees in Law and Political Science.

Khalid Azizuddin

Senior Reporter, Responsible Investor

Khalid retrained as a journalist after working for a number of years in corporate strategy at Sime Darby in Malaysia. He focuses on sustainability data & disclosures, policy and developing markets. He is a former winner of the CFA UK Journalist of the Year Award for his coverage of the human rights issues involved in investment in Chinese surveillance companies.

Debanik Basu

Head of Responsible Investment & Stewardship, APAC, APG Asset Management

Debanik currently leads APG’s sustainability and stewardship efforts in Asia Pacific. Prior to this, he was heading the India research function at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) and was responsible for delivering governance solutions and advisory services to institutional clients. Now based in Hong Kong, Debanik has more than 15 years of experience in the ESG landscape and has dealt extensively with corporate boards, investors, and regulators on matters of risk management and stakeholder engagement.

From 2009 to 2012, Debanik worked for the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) – India’s capital market regulator - where he conducted due diligence of M&A deals and corporate restructurings for Indian companies and developed proposals for a broad range of policy matters. Debanik has also published various thought leadership pieces on critical governance trends that have appeared in leading newspapers and business journals.

Debanik holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore.

Kate Blaszak

Director Protein Transition, Asia Research and Engagement

At ARE, Kate leads research and investor-backed engagement with Asian food companies and banks towards a responsible and sustainable protein transition as per the Asia Protein Transition Platform. Kate has expertise in food systems, farm animal health, welfare, public health, and alternative proteins complimenting a broader knowledge of Environmental Social Governance in and beyond Asia. Formerly, Global Head of Research for Animals in Farming and APAC External Affairs Adviser and Program Manager for a global not-for-profit, she also managed One Health research collaborations along with prior Australian and UK government roles. She is a veterinarian with MSc in Tropical Veterinary Medicine, and examination memberships in animal welfare, epidemiology, and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Kate is currently a non-executive director on two boards.

Tim Chan

Head of Sustainability Research, Asia Pacific, Morgan Stanley

Tim Chan is the Head of Sustainability Research (Asia Pacific ex Japan) at Morgan Stanley. He joined the firm in 2020 and is a member of the global sustainability research team. His team ranked #1 in ESG Research in the 2021 Institutional Investor All-Asia Research Poll. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Tim was a senior ESG analyst at Manulife Investment Management where he led the ESG integration, research and engagement efforts in North Asia. Previously, he worked as an advisory manager at Ernst & Young within their climate change and sustainability services team. Tim holds a bachelor of science in molecular biotechnology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a master of science in environmental management from the University of Hong Kong. He is also a CFA charterholder, a chartered environmentalist and an EFFAS certified ESG analyst. Tim currently sits on the advisory board for the Division of Environment and Sustainability, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).

Paul Chandler

Director of Stewardship, UN Principles for Responsible Investment

Paul Chandler leads the PRI’s collaborative stewardship initiatives team and programme, including PRI’s work within Climate Action 100+, as well as Advance, PRI’s human rights and social issues engagement, Spring, PRI’s nature engagement, and PRI’s sovereign engagement on climate. He works closely with PRI signatories to support their collaborative engagements with companies and governments across global markets. Paul has more than 12 years’ experience in stewardship and responsible investment, having been at the PRI since 2014, and previously having worked as an ESG Engagement and Research Analyst for Regnan. Paul also previously worked in business development for Colonial First State Investments, and holds a Master of Environment from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).

Sylvia Chen

Head of ESG, South Asia, Asset Management, Amundi

Sylvia Chen is Amundi’s Head of ESG, South Asia, based in Singapore. She reports to Caroline Le Meaux, Global Head of ESG Research, Engagement and Voting. She contributes to ESG research and engagement with a wide array of topics including energy transition, sustainable investing, and green and social bonds. She has a focus on Asia where she plays a key role in green and transition taxonomy development for Singapore, and regional investor engagement initiatives. Particularly, she supports investment teams and clients on ESG knowledge transfer and full integration of ESG and climate capabilities to investment frameworks.

Before joining Amundi in 2021, she worked for BNP Paribas and Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC) in fixed income capital markets, where she helped to establish OCBC’s sustainability bond framework. Sylvia has a Master in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of British Columbia.

Trista Chen

Head of Investment Stewardship Asia (ex Japan), Legal & General Investment Management

Based in Singapore, Trista Chen is the Head of Investment Stewardship Asia (ex-Japan) at the Asset Management division of Legal and General, LGIM. She spearheads the firm’s global investment stewardship strategy with a localized approach tailored to the region. As part of LGIM’s global award-winning investment stewardship team, Trista engages in firm-wide thematic and sectoral initiatives, leading activities related to human rights and contributing significantly to climate, people, corporate governance, and nature engagements.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Trista is a seasoned sustainability professional with a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving ESG and climate change landscapes globally. She has provided strategic advice to investors and companies at both corporate and project levels across more than 30 countries in Asia Pacific, Europe, North America, Latin America, and Africa. Before joining LGIM, Trista was a Partner at the global sustainability consultancy firm ERM, where she was responsible for the financial services industry and M&A service strategy in the APAC region. Her expertise spans public markets, private equity, private debt, and infrastructure. Trista worked and lived in Greater China and Canada before relocating to Singapore in 2021. She’s fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Alvin Chew

Head of Disclosure, APAC, CDP

Alvin Chew heads the APAC (ex China & Japan) Corporate Disclosure Team at CDP. He leads the business development strategy on convincing companies to disclose their environmental impacts on climate, water and forests to CDP
Before CDP, Alvin had experience in product management, global business development strategy and sales at major data providers such as Argus and Bloomberg. He was also the first commercial hire, tasked with scaling up the business, for two data startups specializing in agriculture and financial ESG data. At Argus, he successfully convinced the base oil industry to switch pricing benchmark from a competitor with more than 20 years head start. Alvin holds a degree in Economics and Actuarial Science from the Singapore Management University.

Rachel Chia

Managing Director, Head of Project Finance, Asia Pacific, Deutsche Bank

Rachel has more than 17years of industry and project finance experience, especially in the renewables space, where she has led and closed more than 7GW of renewables transactions, and numerous PPP infrastructure transactions in the Asia Pacific region. Rachel is based in Singapore and leads Deutsche Bank APAC’s Project Finance team.

Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Rachel was a Director with Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (Singapore) Structured Finance APAC team for 5.5 years and worked in the General Electric Company (United States, Singapore, China, UK, Canada) in various Finance positions for 9 years.

Yi-Chen Chiang

Director, Sustainable Investment, Asia, Public Markets, Manulife Investment Management

Yi-Chen is responsible for environmental, social and governance (ESG) research, integration and engagement activities with the primary focus on South and Southeast Asia.

Yi-Chen brings expertise in sustainability and sustainable finance: Prior to joining MIM, she was the Director, Sustainable Finance at Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC Bank) where she advised and executed sustainable finance transactions (e.g. green/ sustainability-linked loans, green/social/sustainability/sustainability-linked bonds) together corporates across real estate, utilities, commodities and transportation sectors in the Asia Pacific region. She also gained extensive experience in integration ESG in the investment and financing perspective during her time at a Singapore-based private equity fund and the Dutch development bank, with the primarily focus on renewable and infrastructure assets in emerging Asia markets. Yi-chen currently chairs the Energy Transition working group of the Asia Investor Group on Climate Change.

Tobias Davis

Executive Director, Environmental Product Origination, Engie

Tobias heads up Carbon Origination for ENGIE GEMS APAC and Middle East, based in Singapore. He is responsible for servicing downstream customers across a span of environmental and emissions products, whilst identifying upstream carbon project investments across the region.

Before joining ENGIE, Tobias was the Deputy Divisional Director at Tullett Prebon, managing their global LNG business and regional carbon and Japanese electricity desks, previously spending over 12 years broking European, UK gas and LNG in London and managing FX derivative sales and distributions desks.

Tobias is a regular speaker at energy conferences across APAC and holds degrees in Finance and Economic Policy.

Nicholas Gandolfo

Director Blended Finance & Transition Finance, MUFG

Mr. Nicholas Gandolfo joined MUFG as Director, ESG Finance in November 2023. Based in Singapore, he oversees the development and delivery of blended and transition finance solutions for MUFG’s corporate client portfolio across Asia Pacific excluding Japan.

Mr. Gandolfo brings over 25 years of financial services and ESG advisory experience to MUFG, having worked in the private and public sectors across countries such as Australia, Cambodia, China and Indonesia.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Gandolfo has worked with HSBC, BlueOrchard/ Schroders and Sustainalytics, where he was actively involved in areas from impact Investing to second party opinions for sustainable finance transactions as well as ESG ratings, amongst other corporate services.

Mr. Gandolfo holds a double degree in Arts and Commerce from Australia’s Deakin University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. He also holds various certifications related to ESG and sustainability, such as GARP (Sustainability and Climate Risk), CFA (Investing in ESG) and SASB level 1.

Natasha Garcha

Senior Director, Innovative Finance and Gender-Lens Investing Specialist, Impact Investment Exchange (IIX)

Natasha Garcha is the Senior Director of Innovative Finance at Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) where she has worked on IIX’s gender lens investing initiatives, research, and impact measurement work in Asia-Pacific, East Africa, and the United States. Natasha’s team focuses on the financial structuring, investor relations, and impact assessment for IIX’s award-winning Women’s Livelihood BondTM Series whose proceeds are empowering +1 million women in the Global South to build economic security and climate resilience.

Natasha has worked on multiple research papers and projects focused on gender equity, climate action, and/or peacebuilding along with partners such as the United Nations Development Programme, the United States Agency for International Development, the Bank of America Foundation, the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, the Environmental Defence Fund, and the Rockefeller Foundation, among others. Garcha also spearheads the Orange Bond Initiative, the world’s first debt asset class for investing in gender equality to advance sustainable peace, prosperity, and climate security. She adopts an intersectional approach to ensure equal representation of women and individuals from the Global South in shaping financial markets to embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Natasha begun her career on Wall Street as part of D.E. Shaw & Co., a New York-based hedge fund where she worked in the global Investor Relations team and served as the Co-Head of Corporate Social Responsibility in India. During this time, Natasha co-founded of the Shades of Happiness Foundation (SoHF), a non-profit with the mission to empower children from underserved communities in India through access to quality education.

Natasha has an interdisciplinary academic background, holding a Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.)) from the University of Oxford (Dean’s List MT, TT), a Master’s in Business Law from the National Law School of India, and a Master’s in International Relations from Harvard University (Dean’s List) where her research was focused on the nexus of gender-equity, peacebuilding and climate action.

Natasha is part of a number of Women, Peace, and Security industry bodies including Singapore chapter head for the Harvard Women in Defence, Diplomacy, and Development (W3D), the Pacific Forum’s women experts’ group on Indo-Pacific security issues and the Women in International Security (WIIS) professional membership group. She currently serves as a Steering Committee member for the Orange Bond Initiative and for the Principles for Investment in Fisheries; she previously served on the Advisory Council for the ICMA Green and Social Bonds.

Natasha is an active speaker at international sustainability-themed events (including the United Nations Feminist Finance Forum, the G20 Summit, SOCAP San Francisco, the Social Enterprise World Forum, among others). She has authored articles on multiple online publications (The Economist Impact, Skoll Center, Devex, among others) and has served as a guest lecturer on gender-lens investing and sustainable finance at the University of Oxford and Harvard University. Her work as the Chair of the Oxford Social Impact Business Network won her the BNY Mellon Achievement Award in 2014. Natasha was recognized on Tatler’s Gen.T. Leaders of Tomorrow list for her leadership in building the gender-lens investing market in Asia-Pacific in 2024.

Mark Glossoti

Chief Operating Officer, Climate Impact X

Mark serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Climate Impact X (CIX), where he oversees the core support functions of risk, operations, finance, legal and compliance, and human resources.

Before joining CIX, Mark was COO at TransAsia Private Capital. Over an extensive career, he has held leadership positions at Alphadyne Asset Management, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and DBS.

Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Witwatersrand. Outside of work, he is an avid cyclist and ironman racer. Being acutely aware of the impact of emissions on global temperatures, Mark looks to make small lifestyle changes to reduce his carbon footprint, fostering awareness and momentum for broader climate action.

Mirte Gosker

Managing Director, The Good Food Institute Asia Pacific

Mirte is the Managing Director of the Good Food Institute Asia Pacific, the leading alternative protein think tank in Asia. Prior to GFI, Mirte founded various social enterprises, worked as a management consultant to startups, and as a researcher in humanitarian logistics. Mirte is an Anthropologist by training, holds a Master’s degree in International Development Studies from Wageningen University and is a graduate of the INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Programme. Mirte lives in Singapore, and holds multiple board positions in both Europe and Asia.

Areas of expertise: entrepreneurship, strategy, management, and philanthropy.

James Griffin MP

Shadow Minister for Environment, Energy and Climate Change, NSW Australia

James Griffin is a former Minister for Environment and Heritage for the state of New South Wales, Australia’s largest state. He is now the Shadow Minister for Energy and Climate Change.
As Environment Minister, James legislated increased powers for the Environmental Protection Agency, had responsibility for six world heritage UNESCO sites, and oversaw a $2.2B (AUD) environment department budget. During his tenure as Environment Minister he acquired the largest ever parcel of land for addition to the National Park Estate in the history of the state (1.08 million acres in size), implemented an historic state-wide ban on problematic single-use plastics, released Australia’s first ever Natural Capital Statement of Intent, and funded one of the largest harbour restoration projects of its kind in the world, to improve ocean quality and biodiversity in the iconic Sydney Harbour.

Anubhuti Gupta

Senior Principal Consultant, Mercer Investment Solutions Singapore

Anubhuti is a Senior Principal Consultant for the Wealth Business in Mercer, Singapore. She is responsible for delivering investment solutions and advice and driving strategic partnerships across South-east Asia.

She has over 18 years’ professional experience in the investment industry with a focus on quantitative strategies and equities. Before joining Mercer, she was the CEO for Singapore and Head of Equity Quant Investments (formerly Rosenberg) for APAC at AXA Investment Managers. She was responsible for developing the strategy and driving the business, research, sustainability and investment agenda for Rosenberg in the region. She was a member of regional and global leadership teams including Asia Executive Committee and Rosenberg Global Management Committee and worked on multiple complex client and business projects.

Prior to this, she served as the Head of Portfolio Management and Deputy Chief Investment officer for the region. During that period, the business delivered several important milestones, developed complex new investment capabilities, undertook leading-edge platform-wide ESG integration and completely overhauled the portfolio construction process.

Anubhuti is an active contributor on investing, leadership and ESG related topics. She advocates for diversity, mentoring and knowledge-based volunteering to advance the investment industry. She has served on the global CFA Institute Education Advisory Committee as a member and Vice-chair for a term of 6 years and on the Nominating Committee for CFA Institute Board of Governors for a term of 2 years. She has been appointed as a member of the CFA Institute ESG Technical Committee starting September 2022. She is a member of the CFA Singapore Board of Directors and the Advisory Board of Singapore Chapter of CAIA Institute. She is a mentor and champion at Financial Women’s Association of Singapore and supports LGBT Great.

Anubhuti holds a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (First class Honors) from Nanyang Technological University and a Certificate in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a CFA and CAIA Charterholder and has Certificates in ESG Investing and Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM).

Nuomin Han

Head of Carbon Markets, Wood Mackenzie

Nuomin Han joined Wood Mackenzie’s in 2018 and is based in Beijing. She is part of the Carbon Research team, providing clients with insights into emissions and climate-related development. Her primary focus lies in the carbon market sector, leading the analysis of compliance carbon pricing mechanisms worldwide, and the voluntary carbon market, developing and expanding our offering on carbon market dynamics and future pricing trends, and serving clients with a better understanding of a transitioning carbon landscape.

Prior to joining the Carbon Research team, Nuomin spent more than three years in our Coal Research team. In this role, she provided insight into market and policy development related to the coal supply of Asian countries.

Hazel Ilango

Research Analyst, Credit (APAC), Anthropocene Fixed Income Institute

Based in Malaysia, Hazel Ilango is a Research Analyst focused on the ASEAN energy transition.

Hazel joined AFII from the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA), where she was an energy finance analyst specialising in Asia-Pacific debt markets, with a research focus on integrating climate risk within credit scoring models. Prior to that, Hazel was at RAM Ratings, a credit rating agency in Southeast Asia.

Hazel has a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and has a Sustainable Finance qualification from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL).

Satoshi Ikeda

Chief Sustainable Finance Officer and Deputy Commissioner for International Affairs, Financial Services Agency, Government of Japan

Satoshi Ikeda has been the Chief Sustainable Finance Officer (CFSO) since March 2019 at the Financial Services Agency of Japan (JFSA).

In this role, he covers a wide range of issues concerning sustainable finance which include, among other things, designing Japan’s climate transition finance framework based on climate-related financial disclosures aligned with International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) standards.

He currently serves as Chair of the Working Group on Transition Plan of the Financial Stability Board (FSB) and Co-chair of the Working Group on Transition Finance of the International Platform on Sustainable Finance (IPSF). He also successfully co-led the Workstream on Climate Disclosures of the FSB, the Workstream on ESG Data and Ratings of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), and the Working Group on Sustainability Disclosure of the International Platform on Sustainable Finance (IPSF).

Liza Jansen

Head of Responsible Investment, Prudential

Liza is Head of Responsible Investment at Prudential. She is accountable for the responsible investment strategy for all markets in which Prudential operates across Asia and Africa. This includes setting ambitious responsible investment targets with special attention for the challenges in emerging markets and the trade-off between responsible investment initiatives and the risk/return profile of the portfolio. Before joining Prudential, she was an investment strategist at PGGM, where she focused on responsible investment and strategic asset allocation.

Lucita Jasmin

Group Sustainability Director, RGE

Lucita Jasmin is the Group Sustainability Director at RGE, and the Director of Sustainability & External Affairs at APRIL Group, a member of the RGE group of companies. Headquartered in Singapore, RGE is a global group of companies in resource-based manufacturing industries, operating in Indonesia, China, Brazil, Canada, Spain and Malaysia with over US$35 billion in assets and a workforce of over 80,000 people. RGE and its companies are committed to its purpose of improving lives by developing resources responsibly, guided by its 5Cs business philosophy of doing what is good for the Community, Country, Climate, and Customer, and only then will it be good for the Company.

As Group Sustainability Director, Lucita drives the integration of sustainability in business strategy and facilitates the setting of sustainability ambitions that help advance the global goals on climate, nature protection and inclusive socio-economic development. Her role is to ensure that RGE business groups operate in accordance to RGE’s Group Sustainability Policy with a robust management, monitoring and reporting system to enable implementation, transparency, and trust-building with stakeholders.

Lucita is also Director of Sustainability & External Affairs of APRIL where she is responsible for the implementation and advancement of APRIL's sustainability commitments and targets, including stakeholder engagement and communications.

Lucita previously served at the United Nations Environment Program headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, where she led strategic communications and global campaigns, including the annual World Environment Day.

Adam Johnson

Senior Client Portfolio Manager, Pictet Asset Management

Adam Johnson joined Pictet Asset Management in September 2018 and is a Senior Client Portfolio Manager in the Developed Equities and Specialist Equities teams. Before joining Pictet, he spent four years at Janus Henderson, where he was a Senior Product Specialist covering a wide range of global equity products and responsible for establishing the Product Specialist team in the London office. Prior to that, Adam worked at Allianz Global Investors as a Product Specialist on the Global Equity team for nearly ten years. Adam holds a Master of Arts in International Trade and Finance from Yonsei University Graduate School of International Studies, South Korea, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Mandarin and Management Studies from Durham University, UK.

Ayako Kageyama

Senior Expert, Sustainable Investments, Asia and the Pacific, United Nations Development Program (Singapore)

Ayako leads scale-up of SDGs aligned investment in Asia through partnership with commercial financial institutions and corporates. Her involvement includes two impact funds in Asia and advisory on strategy, policy, structuring, portfolio management and standard setting to large financial institutions. Prior to UNDP, she spearheaded various senior sustainable debt and equity investment roles in sustainable infrastructure and power/energy projects, including at Fidelity International, Standard Chartered Bank, Vena Energy and Japan Bank for International Cooperation. Ayako is an advisory member to impact consortium of Financial Services Agency, Japan.

Kamran Khan

Managing Director, Head of ESG for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Deutsche Bank Group

Kamran Khan is Deutsche Bank's Head of ESG for Asia Pacific. In this newly established client facing role, he isresponsible for defining and executing the bank's ESG strategy across all business divisions in Asia. He is a member of the Global Sustainability Council of Deutsche Bank.

Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Khan established Infra-Tech Capital, an impact fund investing in companies utilizing technology to provide infrastructure services and achieve UN Sustainable Development Goals. He was also appointed by the Obama White House to serve as the head of global investments and operations at the US Millennium Challenge Corporation, where he managed a USO 10bn portfolio and led a USO 1.5-2bn annual investment program globally.

Previously, Mr. Khan held senior executive roles at the World Bank and helped establish the World Bank Group regional hub in Singapore, comprising the World Bank, International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Multilateral Insurance & Guarantee Agency (MIGA). Prior to his time at the World Bank, Mr. Khan worked on M&A transactions and advisory mandates at JPMorgan and LEK. He also served as a US Foreign Service Officer with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), where he led operations for the project finance and guarantees facility.

Mr. Khan served as an Advisor on Infrastructure Finance to APEC, ASEAN, and the G-20. He is a member of the Senior Advisory Board at Fudan University Fintech Centre in Shanghai with a mandate to advise on Belt and Road Initiative projects. He has also served on the Board of Advisors at a variety of market-leading companies using technology to achieve ESG goals. He is a frequent speaker at events such as World Economic Forum, ASEAN Summit, APEC Summit, and in major international media.

Sameer Khan

Sales and Solutioning Head for Ecosystems & Sustainable Supply Chains, DBS Bank

Sameer is a finance, corporate treasury and supply chain professional with deep experience in balance sheet management, capital issuance and funding for Asia-focused banks. Sameer has strong regional market knowledge covering India, ASEAN, Taiwan, China and Australia. Emily Kreps

Global Head of ESG and Sustainable Finance, Deutsche Bank Securities

Emily Kreps is Global Head of ESG and Sustainable Finance for Deutsche Bank’s Investment Bank and Head of ESG for the Americas region. She focuses on ESG strategy, content generation, internal stakeholder management and client engagement. Her work in the Americas region includes setting and executing the regional strategy for the bank, working across the business units as well as with finance, risk, regulatory and political affairs. She is a member of the bank’s Global Sustainability Strategy Steering Committee which is responsible for setting and driving sustainability for the Group. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Emily led the Global Capital Markets team at CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), Emily brings more than a decade of experience as an investment banker, formerly at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse. In a previous career, she led sustainable and responsible businesses, including a period as head of corporate development for a renewable and alternative energy company, as well as various start-up CFO positions in the impact investing space. Emily is an expert in ESG disclosure, taxonomies, and the linkage to capital markets impact. She serves as the executive sponsor of Deutsche Bank’s Women on Wall Street employee resource group. She received her degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.

Felix Lam

Executive Director, Asia ex Japan Head of Investment Stewardship, J.P. Morgan Asset Management

Felix Lam, Executive Director, is the Asia ex-Japan Head of Investment Stewardship, based in Hong Kong. He works on engagement with corporate directors and management on investment issues involving stewardship, management incentives, and social and environmental sustainability in Asia ex Japan. He is also responsible for advising analysts and portfolio managers regarding the E, S and G profiles of the companies in which we invest and co-ordinating proxy voting activity. Felix had worked as an equity research analyst for over 16 years with primary focus on energy and material industries including renewable energy, oil and gas, metals & mining and construction materials. Prior to joining JP Morgan, he worked for CCB International Securities, leading its power, energy and materials research team.

Cai Rong Lim

Prior to BASF, she served as the Technology Director at tesa SE in Hamburg (Germany), overseeing R&D efforts in Adhesive Technology. With 17 years of international experience in Singapore, China and Germany, she has consistently advanced sustainability and innovation throughout her career.

Kian Min Low

Chief Renewables Officer, Gentari

Low Kian Min was officially appointed the Chief Renewables Officer of Gentari with effect from May 2, 2023. Kian Min has broad experience in the energy space with more than two decades spent in the power generation industry - beginning in the legal department before spreading his wings into business development in traditional and renewable energy segments.

Kicking off in Australia, Kian Min’s career has taken him across the Asia Pacific, where he was most recently the Chief Development Officer for JERA Asia, leading its market entry into Bangladesh and its first renewables investment in Vietnam. His career moves also saw him leading Sembcorp Industries’ group business development team for ASEAN and heading Indonesia’s largest independent power producer PT Paiton Energy. He has also held various roles in Engie (formerly International Power) and was briefly a lecturer at the Australian National University.

Kian Min holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting) from the Australian National University. He is an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.

Kavitha Menon

Kavitha Menon joined SSFA in October 2023 as its Director. As the head of SSFA, she is responsible for ensuring that the association achieves its mission of building a vibrant and inclusive ecosystem for sustainable finance in Singapore. Apart from the day-to-day running of the association, Kavitha’s role involves stakeholder engagement, membership recruitment, thought leadership, and enabling collaborations across the financial sector, non-financial sector, and government organisations to advance sustainable finance in Singapore.

Prior to her current role, Kavitha was the Head of the Global equity research team at Foord Asset Management in Singapore where she headed their ESG integration process. She has over 12 years of experience in equity investment management, specialising in Global financials, based out of Singapore and India.

Kavitha has recently graduated from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, with a Master’s degree in Public Administration as a John F. Kennedy Fellow and Edward S. Mason Fellow. Benjamin McCarron

Founder and Managing Director, Asia Research and Engagement

Benjamin McCarron is the Founder and Managing Director of Singapore headquartered Asia Research & Engagement (ARE). ARE collaborates with global institutional investors representing $8 trillion AUM to raise ESG matters with Asian corporations. Thematic areas include Energy Transition and its Financing, Sustainable and Responsible Protein, and Sustainable Real Estate. ARE is also a partner of GRESB, the leading tool for rating ESG in real estate.

Benjamin has written extensively about sustainability across the region. He has published four blue books with CLSA covering cover animal proteins, palm oil, climate change in Malaysia, and how to create an ESG framework. Yash Mishra

As Head of Impact Finance and Sustainability at the Alliance, Yash focuses on driving catalytic capital to support the transition to a global circular economy for plastic. She oversees the development of partnerships with the financial community to help build green infrastructure and accelerate innovation. She is responsible for the Alliance’s investment strategy to develop solutions to improve waste management systems.

Yash brings over 26 years of experience in the finance sector with a focus on sustainable investment opportunities across multiple asset classes. She has worked in major international financial centres where she led private equity transactions in venture capital, growth, and buyout stages.

Prior to joining the Alliance, Yash spent almost 10 years as a Board member helping to scale Taurus, a Singapore-headquartered multifamily office with operations in Zurich and Dubai. There, she led the Sustainable Investments and Private Equity strategic initiatives. Her prior work experience included international organisations such as BNP Paribas, AXA, Fortis MeesPierson group. Yash is a qualified CFP charter holder and holds a Master's Degree in Management Studies with a specialisation in International Finance and has been a licensed financial practitioner for over 20 years.

Carlin Naidoo

Carlin Naidoo is a Director within Group Sustainability at DP World. At DP World, he leads the Group’s work on ESG Reporting, Ratings and Disclosures. More recently, he has played a lead role in developing the Group’s Sustainable Finance Framework and supporting the issuance of the Group’s inaugural Green Sukuk.

Carlin has over 16 years of experience working in strategy development and execution for leading banks in South Africa, Kenya and Qatar. During his time in Qatar, he supported the bank to become one of the highest rated financial institutions, from a sustainability perspective, in the region. Prior to entering the Financial Services sector, Carlin worked as a Strategy Consultant supporting several leading private and public sector companies in South Africa. He has a BSc in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from IE Business School in Spain.

Chandran Nair

Founder and CEO, Global Institute For Tomorrow (GIFT)

Mr Nair is the Founder and CEO of the Global Institute for Tomorrow (GIFT), an independent pan-Asian think tank. Formerly Chairman of Environmental Resources Management (ERM) in Asia Pacific for over a decade until 2004, establishing the company as Asia’s leader in environmental consulting.

As GIFT’s Founder and CEO, Mr Nair is focused on advancing a deeper understanding of global issues, including the shift of economic and political influence from the West to Asia, the dynamic relationship between business and society, and the reshaping of the rules of global capitalism. With offices in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, GIFT has pioneered an internationally recognised approach to executive education that is widely acclaimed as best-in-class. This has been presented in a report to the United Nations on Innovations in Leadership Development and featured in the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal.

With GIFT, he has led over 70 programmes to create actionable business models in 15 countries across Asia, consulting on a wide range of industries to accelerate development, from agriculture to affordable housing and public health.

Abigail Ng

Executive Director, Markets Policy & Consumer Department, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), chair of the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum's Working Group on Disclosure Standards, Monetary Authority of Singapore

Ms. Abigail Ng is Executive Director and Head of the Markets Policy & Consumer Department. She oversees the formulation of policies on the capital markets to promote fair, orderly, and transparent markets, safe and efficient financial market infrastructures, as well as policies on market conduct to achieve fair outcomes for investors, and shape corporate governance standards. She also oversees MoneySense, the national financial education programme. Ms. Ng represents MAS at various international fora such as at the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) where the MAS chairs a Working Group focused on promoting corporate sustainability disclosures; and at the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) where she was deeply involved in work dedicated to improving securities issuers sustainability-related disclosures the IOSCO Sustainable Finance Taskforce, and currently working in the IOSCO Fintech Taskforce chaired by the MAS, tasked with examining policy issues related to crypto assets.

Prior to joining the MAS, Ms. Ng served with the Singapore Legal Service in the State Courts and the Attorney-General’s Chambers, and is admitted as Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.

Christina Ng

William Ng

Stewardship Director, HSBC Asset Management

William Ng is a Stewardship Director in the Responsible Investment team at HSBC Asset Management, based in Hong Kong. He works with active equity and fixed income teams to implement the stewardship plan through engaging with portfolio companies on material ESG issues and exercising shareholder rights. He is the human rights thematic lead within the team. He is also a member of the ICGN Human Capital Committee, and co-chairs the ASIFMA Asset Management ESG Committee.

Prior to joining HSBC AM, Will worked as a sustainability consultant and a sustainability learning facilitator in Hong Kong, supporting local companies with their materiality assessments, stakeholder engagements and ESG disclosures. He started his career as a chartered accountant at PwC in London. Will has a CFA UK certificate in ESG investing, and holds a MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, and a MSci in Natural Sciences from Durham University.

Charles Nguyen

Charles Nguyen, CFA, Managing Director, Head of ESG Asia, joined the firm in 2006. Charles is responsible for ESG integration, strategy and client engagement in Asia. He previously led the analysis of sustainability topics across Neuberger Berman’s public equities platform with a focus on climate and Net Zero. He is also an advisory group member to the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative. Laurent Poirot

Laurent Poirot is Head of Product Strategy and Development for Equity Markets at SGX Group. In his role, he is responsible for originating and developing opportunities to enable SGX’s global growth and expansion across equities markets.

With more than 20 years of experience, Laurent has held senior positions in Equity Volatility and Delta One trading, on the buy-side and sell-side. Prior to joining SGX Group, Laurent was Senior Portfolio Manager, covering Asian and Developed Markets at GF Asset Management. Before that, he was Managing Director for Equity Derivatives Trading and Equity Finance Risk at Bank of America and Nomura respectively.

Beverley Postma

Executive Director, Grow Asia

Beverley Postma is the Executive Director of Grow Asia, a multi-stakeholder platform established by the World Economic Forum and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to broker market-driven solutions for sustainable food systems in Southeast Asia.
With 25 years in the global food system, Bev has held C-Suite roles in Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas in both corporate and non-profit settings. Her previous roles include CEO of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO); CEO of HarvestPlus; and Executive Director of Food Industry Asia (FIA), which was established in 2010 to tackle the region’s most pressing food challenges. Prior to this, Bev held senior corporate affairs roles for Syngenta and Kellogg’s. She holds a BSc in Marine Biology and serves on the advisory boards of several venture capital firms and impact funds in the biotech and nutrition space. Bev has led high-performing teams across the full breadth of the global food system and is an active champion for diversity and inclusion.

Roel A. Refran

Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, The Philippine Stock Exchange

Roel Refran is the Executive Vice-President & Chief Operating Officer of The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE). Early on in his career, he was an associate at SyCip Salazar Hernandez and Gatmaitan and thereafter joined public service as chief of staff of Sen. Ralph G. Recto who chaired the Senate Ways & Means Committee. He also worked at ACCRALAW before joining PSE.

Roel passionately leads the sustainability initiatives of the PSE. In 2023, he was a speaker at the UN Climate Change Conference, Conference of the Parties (COP 28), in Dubai to share perspectives on how the capital markets can be an enabler for national programs for corporates to transition to a more sustainable business for the benefit of all stakeholders and help achieve the nationally determined contributions (NDCs) for the Philippines.

He served as chair of the Capital Markets Development Committee of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), and he is presently the President and Chairman of the Philippine Fulbright Scholars Association. Roel is a member of the Commercial Law Department of the Philippine Judicial Academy (PHILJA) and he serves as a Professorial Lecturer 1 in the PHILJA Corps of Professors.

Roel has been in the academe for more than two decades. He is a Professor of Law at Ateneo Law School and a Professorial Lecturer at the University of the Philippines Virata School of Business. He is an Adjunct Faculty at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) for its MBA and Master in International Business Law (MIBL) programs.

Roel is a certified public accountant and lawyer, having earned his accountancy degree from the University of the Philippines (Diliman) and his Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo Law School. He later on pursued his MBA as a Fulbright Scholar at the Emory University Goizueta Business School in Atlanta, GA, USA.

Juan Salazar

Juan has been at Pictet Asset Management since December 2021, and is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the firm’s engagement strategy, with a specific focus on biodiversity, public health and labour standards. Before joining Pictet, Juan spent over 10 years as a member of the Responsible Investment team at BMO Global Asset Management, where he focused on developing and implementing ESG integration and active ownership strategies with companies in emerging and frontier markets. His role also entailed work on ESG investment products, ESG and impact reporting and client management. Prior to this, Juan worked in credit risk management at ABN AMRO Bank, assessing credit and ESG risks present in the bank’s global corporate lending operations. Hazman Hilmi Sallahuddin

Hazman Hilmi is the Chief Investment Officer of Malaysia's Retirement Fund Inc (KWAP) since January 2022.
He was previously the Managing Director of Damansara Assets Sdn Bhd (DASB) – a wholly owned real-estate subsidiary of Johor Corporation (JCorp) and the Chief Executive Officer of AMAL by Malaysia Airlines – a wholly owned subsidiary of the Malaysian Aviation Group.

Prior to that, Hazman was with Khazanah Nasional Berhad where he served in various roles across the organisation over 12 years, including as the Senior Vice President of Khazanah Europe Investment Limited based in London, and Vice President of Khazanah Turkey Regional Office based in Istanbul.
He obtained his MEng (1st Class) in Engineering, Economics and Management from Balliol College, University of Oxford and MSc in Operational Research from the London School of Economics & Political Science.

Kalpana Seethepalli

Director of ESG, Asia Pacific, Deutsche Bank

Dr. Kalpana Seethepalli is the Director of ESG for Asia Pacific at Deutsche Bank and leads the work on results frameworks, measurement, monitoring and sustainable finance taxonomies for ESG transactions. She brings over 21 years of sustainable finance experience across 15 countries, where she made $2 billion sustainable development investments over a long career with The World Bank Group (WBG) and private equity markets.

She is a global expert in design, measurement and reporting frameworks to achieve positive ESG impact through commercially viable investments. She has led complex WBG advisory mandates globally, and led the dialogue with APEC, ASEAN, G20 Finance Ministers, multilaterals and development partners. Tomomi Shimada

Tomomi Shimada, Executive Director, is responsible for leading and implementing the firm's sustainable investment strategy, solutions and product innovation in APAC. In partnership with our distribution and investment teams, she leverages our extensive data and research capabilities, proprietary technology and ESG expertise to deliver sustainable solutions to our clients. Prior to moving to Asia in 2021, she was a Sustainable Investing Strategist for EMEA, based in London.

An employee since 2010, she was previously an Investment Stewardship Specialist, engaging with European and Japanese companies we invest in and advising analysts and portfolio managers regarding the corporate governance and sustainability profiles of the companies. Prior to that, she worked as a Business Liaison Manager in J.P. Morgan Asset Management managing Japanese Institutional and Funds clients from London. She started her career as a Client Adviser at JPMorgan Asset Management Tokyo office, covering securities companies and major retail banks. Tomomi obtained a B.A. in Law from Keio University (Japan). Tomomi is a member of the International Corporate Governance Network.

David Smith

Senior Investment Director, abrdn

David Smith is a Senior Investment Director based in Singapore at abrdn, where he leads ESG research and integration across Asia. David heads the Asia Responsible Investing pod, which oversees the day-to-day running of the Asian Sustainable Development Equity Fund and is a member of the GEM Responsible Investing pod. He is also responsible for leading engagement with board members and management of abrdn’s investee companies in Asia. David spearheads our public advocacy on ESG issues, representing the company at leading international organisations dedicated to improving corporate best practice. He has appeared frequently at regional conferences and industry round tables, and has written for various newspapers and professional publications globally.

Before joining the company in 2011, he worked for ISS as head of Asia (ex-Japan) research. David has a PhD in Corporate Governance and an MA in Corporate Strategy and Governance from the University of Nottingham and a BSc in Business Economics from the University of Wales. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Raphaël Soffer

Lead, Energy Systems, Asia, ClientEarth

Raphaël Soffer is a lead lawyer at ClientEarth, an environmental law charity. ClientEarth is a group of international legal experts on climate, energy and the environment. Raphael collaborates with civil society, regulators, and the private sector to facilitate the transition to a net-zero economy. Through engagement with institutional investors and high-emitting companies, he focuses on strengthening corporate climate accountability standards and the recognition of climate risks. Raphael has been with ClientEarth since 2018.

Prior to joining the non-profit sector, he worked as a lawyer for King & Wood Mallesons and Orrick Herrington Sutcliffe, focusing on the development of energy and infrastructure projects. He is admitted to the New York Bar and the Paris Bar. He studied law at the University of Paris 10 Nanterre, the University of Texas at Austin and the National University of Taiwan. Raphael speaks French, English and Mandarin. He is now working from ClientEarth’s Tokyo office.

Jenn-Hui Tan

Chief Sustainability Officer, Fidelity International

Jenn-Hui Tan is Chief Sustainability Officer for Fidelity International.

Jenn is responsible for the firm’s approach to sustainability across corporate operations and client service areas, including investment management, advisory and personal investment platform services and retirement solutions. He leads the sustainable investing and corporate sustainability teams. He chairs the firm’s Global Sustainability Committee and is a member of its Senior Leadership Team. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the International Corporate Governance Network and the Advisory Board of the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation.

Jenn joined Fidelity International in 2007 from Norton Rose Fulbright, where he was a corporate finance lawyer advising on capital market and M&A transactions. He holds an LLB Law degree from the University of Durham.

Mervyn Tang

Head of Sustainability, APAC, Schroders

Mervyn Tang is the Head of Sustainability Strategy, APAC. Currently based in Singapore, Mervyn is responsible for Schroders’ Sustainability Strategy in the Asia Pacific. He works in partnership with client facing and product teams to build the firm’s sustainable investment propositions across the region, and lead the company’s Regional Centre of Excellence for Sustainability.

Prior to joining Schroders in July 2021, Mervyn was Global Head of ESG Research at Fitch Ratings, overseeing a research team of 4 analysts across London and Hong Kong which primarily focuses on thematic and cross sector ESG research. He also held roles at MSCI, Fitch Ratings, the Bank of England, and Citigroup.

Mervyn holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford and a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of London. Mervyn is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

Viola Tang

Senior Vice President, Sustainability Office, GIC

Viola leads a team on sustainable investment strategy and integration for GIC, a leading global investment firm. Her research areas include climate solutions, decarbonisation pathways, transition finance and carbon markets. She began her career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley where she covered power, utilities and infrastructure and completed over USD 80Bn of M&A and capital markets transactions. Subsequently Viola was an Investment Analyst at Victoire, a multi strategy hedge fund, managing its Emerging Asia Small- and Mid-cap strategy. Prior to GIC, Viola focused on energy transition fund strategy, corporate M&A and new market expansion at Fullerton Fund Management.

Viola holds dual Bachelors in Business Administration and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a PhD candidate in Sustainable Finance at Oxford University. In her spare time she can be found playing netball, gardening or spending time with her dog Wonton.

Jeanie Tham

Head of Purchasing Sustainability, Adhesive Technologies, Henkel

Jeanie leads the Sustainability Purchasing function globally at Henkel Adhesive Technologies.

Jeanie is responsible to lead Henkel’s strategic initiatives to ensure sustainable procurement across its global supply chain, contributing to long-term value creation and alignment of Henkel’s purchasing strategies with its ambitious sustainability goals.She spearheads initiatives focused on reducing carbon emissions, enhancing resource efficiency, fostering and strengthening long-term partnerships with suppliers committed to environmental and social responsibility. . work closely with cross-functional teams to embed sustainability as a core component of Henkel’s innovation pipeline, driving both environmental impact and business resilience.

Indrie Tjahjadi

Director – Sustainability and Climate Change, PwC Singapore

Indrie is a Director with PwC Singapore’s Sustainability & Climate Change practice, specialising on sustainability reporting and assurance. She helps clients with sustainability-related strategy, capacity building, reporting and obtaining assurance across a range of Environmental, Social and Governance issues. She focuses on the application of the ISSB Standards and over the past year, she has assisted organisations in the implementation journey. She has over 17 years of professional experience and started her career as a financial auditor. She is experienced in managing wide range of industries and clients - both public and large private entities. She is a member of the PwC Global TCFD and the ESG reporting and assurance working group.

Alexandra Tracy

Head of Research, Carbonless Asia

Alexandra Tracy is President of Hoi Ping Ventures in Hong Kong, which she founded to provide research and consulting on green finance and sustainable investment in Asian emerging markets. She is also Head of Research at Carbonless Asia, a young investment and innovation business focused on supporting opportunities for decarbonisation in Asia. She is currently Private Sector Observer to the World Bank’s Climate Investment Funds, having for several years served as Active Private Sector Observer to the United Nations Green Climate Fund. She is also a director of RIMM Sustainability Pte Ltd in Singapore and of BlueOnion Group in Hong Kong, both leaders in the ESG data space in the region, and a member of the Listing Review Committee of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Alexandra is Chairman of the Financial Services Research Group, an independent thinktank in Hong Kong focusing on green finance and asset management. She sits on a number of advisory boards in Hong Kong, including Friends of the Earth Hong Kong, the Asia Pacific Investors Cooperation and the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology’s Asian Family Business Research Centre. She is also a director of the Climate Markets & Investment Association in the UK.

From 2013 to 2019, Alexandra was a member of the Listing Committee of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. She acted as Chairman of the Association for Sustainable & Responsible Investment in Asia for six years, stepping down in 2015, and was instrumental in establishing the Asia Investor Group on Climate Change during this period.

Alexandra speaks and writes regularly on sustainable finance, development and infrastructure issues. She has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and MA degrees from Yale University and Cambridge University.

Erlend Dahl Trebbi

Advisor Sustainable Finance, Rainforest Foundation Norway

Erlend Trebbi is a Sustainable Finance Advisor to the Deforestation-free Markets team at Rainforest Foundation Norway. He works to provide support to responsible investors on policy work, nature-related risk assessments, and company engagements. Erlend has experience across several thematic areas, including soft commodity value chains and mining, with a special focus on Chinese overseas investments and corporate activities.

Anjali Viswamohanan

Director, Policy, Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC)

Anjali is responsible for leading and implementing the AIGCC regional and international policy agenda. She is based in Singapore.

Anjali has more than seven years of experience working on the energy-related aspects of climate action. Prior to joining AIGCC, she worked with two leading climate think-tanks, the International Institute for Sustainable Development and the Council on Energy, Environment and Water, on developing policy and research on the energy transition, with a focus on India. She has also worked with some of the top law firms in India on facilitating investments into the energy and infrastructure sectors in India.

Anjali completed a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Oxford, UK and an undergraduate degree in Law from Gujarat National Law University, India. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Malayalam.

Stephen Vogado

Senior Analyst, Carbon Policy, Wood Mackenzie

Stephen is a senior analyst working as part of the Carbon Research team at Wood Mackenzie. His primary focus is on carbon policy, taking a data-driven approach to help clients navigate the energy transition with insights into global policy, regulations and emissions reporting frameworks.

Stephen joined Wood Mackenzie from the Wall Street Journal, where he worked as a research analysts focussing on sustainability issues in the energy, utilities and commodities sectors. He previously had stints as a senior economist for Focus Economics and a commodity risk manager at both the London Metals Exchange and for Koch Supply and Trading.

Weixiang Wang

Director, ESG Investment Management, Temasek

Weixiang joined Temasek in September 2023 as Director, ESG Investment Management. He focuses on integrating ESG, particularly climate action, across Temasek’s global portfolio and on engaging portfolio companies on ESG and climate action.

Before joining Temasek, Weixiang has 17 years of experience in the Singapore public sector. He was most recently the Deputy Government Chief Sustainability Officer and Divisional Director for Environmental Policy in the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, where he was responsible for formulating sustainability policies and initiatives such as Zero Waste Masterplan, SG Eco Fund and establishing the Public Sector Sustainability Office to oversee the Singapore Green Plan 2030 and the GreenGov.SG initiative. Prior to the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, he spent 15 years in the Singapore Economic Development Board in the Cleantech and New Ventures divisions, and in International Operations where he was based in Boston, USA and Mumbai, India

Weixiang graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science (Chemical Engineering) degree and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree. He is also a Sloan Fellow with a Master of Business Administration from Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management.

Wai-Seng Wong

Head of Strategy and Asset Allocation, Khazanah Nasional Berhad

Wong Wai Seng joined Khazanah in August 2011. He is responsible for overall corporate strategy, strategic asset allocation, strategic planning and performance management to meet Khazanah’s mandate and long-term goals. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management (Technology), majoring in Finance from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Masters in Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management as a Fulbright scholar and Master of Science in Management as a Sloan Fellow from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Yuki Yasui

APAC Managing Director, Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ)

Yuki is the Director overseeing the Asia Pacific (APAC) Network for the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) which was launched in June 2022. She is focused on bringing together the financial sector across developed and emerging APAC to accelerate an inclusive and just transition to a net-zero economy.

Prior to joining GFANZ, she was at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Finance Initiative for 20 years and leading its activities in Asia Pacific for the last four years. She has represented UNEP FI at all three major sustainability reporting initiatives, GRI, IIRC and SASB, at various points in time. Other projects include developing and running the UNEP FI online course on climate change for the finance sector and representation at Rio+20.

She is a qualified chartered accountant in the UK (ICAEW) and trained and worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She is currently based in Singapore and has worked in Bangkok, Geneva and London.

Heidi Yip

Head of Sustainable & Transition Solutions, Southeast Asia, BlackRock

Heidi Yip is BlackRock's Head of Sustainable and Transition Solutions for Southeast Asia (STS SEA). Based in Singapore, she is responsible for shaping BlackRock's sustainability and transition strategy for the region, including building up sustainability capabilities in the firm, and supporting product development to address client needs Heidi joined BlackRock from GIC Private Limited where she held multiple roles, shaping long-term strategy development for the enterprise, leading the Sustainability Office's integration pillar, and supporting sustainable investing via the multi-asset Sustainable Investment Fund and equities-focused Climate Change Opportunities Portfolio. She has over 15 years of functional expertise in sustainability, strategy and finance under her belt, built up from her professional experience in Standard Chartered Private Bank, McKinsey & Company, and Singapore's Ministry of Finance, in addition to GIC. Heidi holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, and dual degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Biology from Cornell University.

Kazuhiko Yoshimatsu

General Manager & Chief Representative, Singapore Branch, Tokyo Stock Exchange

Kazuhiko Yoshimatsu joined Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) in 1997 where he worked in business development and planning in securities/derivatives trading, listing rule & corporate governance, compliance & market surveillance. He spent two years at the Financial Services Agencies of Japan (JFSA), and thereafter worked in corporate strategy, global strategy, media relations & investor relations at Japan Exchange Group (JPX), the holding company of TSE. He did global research in ESG matters during his stint in JPX global strategy division. Yoshimatsu was also involved in promoting and formulating policy recommendations for the Japanese capital market at The Organization of Global Financial City Tokyo (FinCity.Tokyo). Since April 2021, he has been working at the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. Singapore Branch as GM & Chief Representative.

Ricco Zhang

Senior Director, Asia Pacific, International Capital Market Association

Ricco Zhang is Senior Director, Asia Pacific of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) based in Hong Kong. Mr. Zhang is responsible for ICMA’s development in Greater China and works very closely with regulators, financial institutions and other organizations who are active at the capital markets in the region to promote and maintain the best market practice. He has previously worked for international law firms, investment banks and other financial institutions engaged in capital market transactions and mergers & acquisitions in Asia and has extensive experience as a market practitioner.
