Trista Chen

Head of Investment Stewardship Asia (ex Japan), Legal & General Investment Management

Based in Singapore, Trista Chen is the Head of Investment Stewardship Asia (ex-Japan) at the Asset Management division of Legal and General, LGIM. She spearheads the firm’s global investment stewardship strategy with a localized approach tailored to the region. As part of LGIM’s global award-winning investment stewardship team, Trista engages in firm-wide thematic and sectoral initiatives, leading activities related to human rights and contributing significantly to climate, people, corporate governance, and nature engagements.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Trista is a seasoned sustainability professional with a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving ESG and climate change landscapes globally. She has provided strategic advice to investors and companies at both corporate and project levels across more than 30 countries in Asia Pacific, Europe, North America, Latin America, and Africa. Before joining LGIM, Trista was a Partner at the global sustainability consultancy firm ERM, where she was responsible for the financial services industry and M&A service strategy in the APAC region. Her expertise spans public markets, private equity, private debt, and infrastructure. Trista worked and lived in Greater China and Canada before relocating to Singapore in 2021. She’s fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
