Joshua Cherry-Seto joined StartUp Health in 2022, responsible for all financial and operating functions. Before StartUp Health, Josh served as Managing Director, CFO & CCO at Blue Wolf Capital Partners for nine years, supporting the firm's growth from about $100M of invested capital in 2013 to $3B of AUMs in 2022. Josh served on Blue Wolf’s ESG committee and was responsible for fund and management company reporting to the Limited Partners as well as the SEC and other regulatory agencies; coordination with and support of Blue Wolf’s portfolio companies' CFOs; and the investment and tax structuring of potential platform, add-on, and co-investment opportunities.
Previously, Josh worked for five years as a portfolio and finance manager at Grove International Partners, a global opportunistic private equity real estate fund manager. From 2001 to 2008, Josh held various positions within Citigroup, acting principally as a Vice President with responsibilities including financial planning and analysis, tax structuring, SEC registration, and systems implementation within various units. Josh began his career holding several roles within the organized labor movement.
Josh received a BS from the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations, a post-graduate certification in Executive IT Management from Columbia University, and a MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
