Ken Aoyama founded Samurai Capital in 2009 as President and CEO of the firm. Samurai Capital is an independent fund/asset management firm based in Tokyo. Clients include international institutional investors/funds, family offices, and domestic investors. Samurai Capital focuses on providing unique and tailored investment opportunities to clients. Transactions include a detached-house single-family residential fund, an M&A of self-storage companies and assets, mezzanine financing programs, and an ESG real estate fund. Before Samurai Capital, he was at Morgan Stanley from 2001 to 2009 as Head of its Core Investment Platform. He was in charge of fund raising, finance, acquisitions, and asset management of these funds. He also led multiple transactions for Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund (MSREF). Prior to Morgan Stanley, Ken Aoyama was at Sumitomo Realty from 1993 to 1998, where he managed development projects of office/commercial properties in Japan. He acquired his MBA from the University of Southern California and his Bachelor’s degree in Law from Keio University. Samurai Capital provides investment advisory focused on the balance between creative solution and implementation plan backed by detailed financial model.

Trey was first introduced to ESG during his MBA studies in 2016, where he took courses on sustainability and CSR. After discovering a moral desire to be part of this new sustainable world, he decided to get more involved in ESG and reoriented his career from asset management to renewable energy, taking on the role of Sales Director at Inframation – a leading data provider for infrastructure and renewable energy. Later, he dived deeper into the world of ESG and joined GRESB – the world leader in ESG scoring and benchmarking for real assets – where he currently holds the role of Director, Business Development, Asia and manages the company's expanding presence in the continent. Trey holds an MBA from Hult International Business School and a BA in International Relations from the George Washington University.

Matilde Attolico is involved in Rockpoint’s Asia Pacific capital raising activities. Ms. Attolico is based in Rockpoint’s London office. Prior to joining Rockpoint in 2021, Ms. Attolico worked at JLL as the Global Head of the Funds Advisory business for about three years. Prior to joining JLL, Ms. Attolico spent over 16 years working in a variety of capital raising and advisory roles at investment advisory boutiques and banks, including Hodes Weill & Associates, Mercury Capital Advisors, Merrill Lynch, and Goldman Sachs. Ms. Attolico serves as a director of Women In Real Estate’s London chapter. Ms. Attolico received a B.A. from Brown University and an M.A. from the Courtauld Institute in London.

Mr. Sanghwoi Bae joined ESR Kendall Square in 2019 as the head of Income JV investment. He then joined Kendall Square REIT Management to spearhead ESR Kendall Square REIT’s (KOSPI 365550, the “REIT”) IPO and investment. After completing the REIT IPO at the end of 2020, he became the CEO of the REIT Management.
Mr. Bae has 15 years of Korean real estate investment experience. He held roles across the investment banking and private equity in real estate spectrum in various financial institutions, including LaSalle Investment Management and Hana Financial Group. Mr. Bae received his Bachelor of Art degree in International Relations from Boston University.

Steve is the lead portfolio manager for the Japan Alternatives Living Fund, a specialist strategy investing in senior housing and other alternative living sectors such as student housing, single family, and co-living in Greater Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.

Prior to joining Nuveen in 2022, Steve founded AR Capital Advisors, a boutique investment consultancy focused on applications of data science to Japan's living sectors. Previously, Steve led Tokyo-based investment teams and served on investment committees for real estate managers including CBRE IM, AEW and Macquarie Group. From 2010 to 2018, Steve was a Partner at Orion Partners (acquired by abrdn) where he headed a series of value-add funds specializing in Japan’s seniors housing and care sector and served on investment committees covering Korea and China. He entered the industry in 1998.

Steve graduated with a B.A. in economics from Vassar College in New York and a Ph.D. in Urban Planning from UCLA. He studied economics at Gakushuin University in Tokyo on a scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education and is fluent in Japanese. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute's APAC Housing Council and Japan Council.

Cha worked in finance for 20+ years (Citibank in New York, Sydney and Honolulu, Yasuda Trust Bank in Tokyo, Board Member to Asian Merchant Bank and CEO of Lone Star Real Estate Funds in Seoul). And, since 2008, Cha has focused his career on smart, resilient cities, innovation districts, digital twins and the decarbonization of the built environment.

In our Decade of Action 2021-2030, let us strive together toward the UN SDG’s and Climate Action through the development of healthy, resilient, carbon neutral communities. We need to accelerate Net Zero Carbon cities by 2050. With rapid global urbanization where millions of people continue to migrate into our cities, the rapid development of nature-based, sustainable mixed use communities integrated with innovation districts may help decouple economic growth from GHG emissions.

Top three (3) initiatives to help accelerate the decarbonization of the built environment:
1. Urban Land Institute Asia Pacific – Co-Chair of Resilient Cities Council and Instructor for ULI Executive Learning Series: “Decarbonization of the Built Environment: Making the Financial Case”.
2. Koramco Fund with US$20 billion+ real estate assets. Serving on the Board of Directors to help strengthen ESG and decarbonization policies and strategies.
3. PMC Innovation District development north of Seoul. Approx. US$2 billion development of 3,500 residential units, a hospital, cancer research center and a life sciences ecosystem, among other “live, work, play” amenities, we want to showcase how we might “design, build & operate” sustainable communities of the future.

Cha graduated Columbia Business School, MBA 1985 (Majors: Accounting, Finance & Real Estate) and the Wharton School, BS in Economics 1979 (Majors: International Finance & Data Science). Cha is married for 30+ years and has two daughters. Cha enjoys mountain biking, Pilates and traveling the world to study smart city initiatives; to share with and learn from the stakeholders involved. However, working from home since March, 2020. Looking forward to traveling again soon, without pandemic related restrictions.

Mr. Chen is an executive vice president and portfolio manager in the Newport Beach office. He leads commercial real estate (CRE) strategy and is a member of the investment committees for PIMCO’s CRE equity and debt strategies. He has experience across all major CRE sectors, including asset and corporate investments. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2010, he was with private equity real estate firm JER Partners for 11 years, most recently as managing director and a member of the firm's investment committee. Mr. Chen previously worked in the fixed income group of Banc of America Securities. He has 25 years of investment experience and holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Georgetown University.

Byung-kyu Cheon is the CFO of DGB Life insurance. He has 26 years of experience both in the Korean and the International financial markets. He started his career in trading. He expanded his investment career into the fund management industry and the insurance industry. He has built a well-proven, consistent record of meaningful above-average investment performance through market cycles.
At DGB Life, he is responsible for the fixed income and derivative investments. He also oversees active trading of principal risk positions and policy-holder accounts of the company. He has developed and implemented strategic investment and research policies. He is also overseeing DGB Life’s client relationship management and business development efforts with a focus on mutual funds, corporate clients and government agency-related portfolios.
Before joining DGB Life, he worked at Woori Investment & Securities HK, Woori CS Asset management, KB Asset management and LG investment Securities. He earned a Doctoral degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, an M.A. from Yonsei University and a B.A. from Busan National University.

David Cheong (Hong Kong) joined KKR in 2015 and is a member of the real estate team. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Cheong was a portfolio manager at LIM Advisors overseeing public and private special situation investments in the Asia-Pacific region based in Hong Kong. Before LIM, Mr. Cheong was a member of the Lehman Brothers real estate private equity team (LBREP) in Tokyo covering Japan and Korea real estate. He started his career at Lehman Brothers Global Real Estate Group in New York. Mr. Cheong holds an M.B.A. and an M.A. from the Wharton School and the Lauder Institute as well as a B.A. and a B.A.S. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Bradford H. Dockser is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Green Generation. Founded in 2011, GreenGen transforms and decarbonizes the built environment through its visionary end-to-end approach to innovation and solutions that integrate energy, real estate, technology, and capital markets to Operate in the Green.
Throughout two decades of real estate investing, Brad was a Principal with MacFarlane Partners and the Founding Partner and Managing Director of Starwood Capital Europe and Starwood Capital Asia overseeing operations in each region. Brad began his career with JMB Realty, then the largest US real estate firm, and later with CRI, then the largest owner of multifamily residential properties, where he oversaw the creation of Capital Apartment Properties REIT (CAPREIT).
Brad received an A.B. cum laude in Economics and an MBA, both from Harvard University. Brad serves as a Global Governing Trustee of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) and is a member of the Global Advisory Board for ULI's Randall Lewis Center for Sustainability in Real Estate. He is also on the ULI Global Exchange Product Council. He previously served as the Chair of ULI’s Redevelopment and Reuse Product Council, as a Non-executive Director of London-based Impact Investment firm Conduit Capital, and previously founded the ULI Washington’s Sustainability Initiative. He is a member of The Economic Club of Washington DC, US Green Building Council, and International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP). Brad is a mentor for MetaProp (NY), and a CREtech Leadership Board member. He was also Founding Director of the Greater Washington Exploratory Committee, DC’s bid committee for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

Dan Dubrowski is a co-founding partner of Lionstone Investments. As Head of Capital Formation, he leads capital efforts across the firm’s investment strategies, with primary responsibility for investor relationships, fundraising, marketing and communications, new business generation, and the structuring of new investment products. Mr. Dubrowski is a voting member of the Investment Committee and Management Committee of the firm. Prior to Lionstone, he was a senior officer with Hines for ten years. Before that, he was an auditor and consultant with Arthur Andersen LLP in New York. He received a B.S. in Business Administration from Georgetown University and an MBA from Harvard University.

Sean Egan is a founding partner and president of Egan-Jones Ratings Company (EJR), which was organized in 1992 for the purpose of providing timely, accurate credit ratings. Over the past decade, EJR provide risk managers with warnings on Ambac, Countrywide, Enron, Greece, Lehman, MBIA, New Century and many others well in advance of the majority of market participants. Fortune Magazine named Mr. Egan the number one person for warning about the 2007 credit crisis. Mr. Egan has appeared on most major media outlets and has testified numerous times in front of Congressional committees. Prior to founding Egan-Jones, Mr. Egan worked as a commercial banker for JP Morgan, as an investment banker for Oppenheimer, and as a management consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick. Mr. Egan graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo and received an MBA from Harvard University.

Jiroo Eoh is the Department Head of Alternative Investment at ABL Life Insurance (Korea). Jiroo is in charge of all alternative investment sectors. Previously, Jiroo worked with Macquarie Group (Macquarie Capital and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, both Australia and Korea). He is experienced in not only advisory businesses but also established and managed various funds such as Macquarie Korea Infrastructure Fund (MKIF), PPP funds, power and energy related infrastructure funds and real estate/ real asset funds. Jiroo received a Bachelor of Commerce/Law combined degree from University of Sydney and a Master of Laws degree from University of New South Wales in Australia. He is a qualified Lawyer and a CPA in Australia. He is native in both English and Korean.

Toshi Fujii serves as General Manager of Investment Business Department at MORI TRUST Co., LTD. based in Tokyo, Japan. Toshi’s responsibilities include, inter alia, all of MORI TRUST’s real estate investment activities not only in Japan but also overseas, as well as in venture capital and in energy sector. Since joining MORI TRUST’s Investment Business Department in 2013, he has built from the strong team of circa 20 strong management and staff. Since its inception in 2016 and under Toshi’s leadership, his overseas investment team, have successfully acquired in total 7 office buildings in Boston, Silicon Valley, and Northern Virginia and disposed the Silicon Valley office campus in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Toshi has in his years with MORI TRUST also assumed key management roles in affiliates of MORI TRUST. Prior to joining the Investment Business Department, he oversaw MORI TRUST’s finance activities in the Finance and Administration Department.
Toshi is a graduate of Kwansei Gakuin University (Class of 1995) and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce.

Mr. Fujita has over 30 years of experience in real estate industry. He started his career at Sumitomo Realty & Development Co. Ltd. with which he spent 5 years for residential condo development in Japan and over 13 years in U.S. to oversee Sumitomo Realty’s U.S. operation. He joined CB Richard Ellis Investors Japan KK in 2002 as Managing Director and he led to establish a first foreign sponsored J-REIT. After his 3 years tenure at the J-REIT, he was asked to lead its sponsor company, K.K. New City Corporation as President and representative director of its affiliates. Since 2010, Mr. Fujita oversees Japan operations as Country Manager of CBRE Global Investors Japan (Merged with former ING Real Estate Investment Management Japan K.K.) and deploys global capital in Japan as well as raises equities from domestic institutional investors for their global investments. He holds a BA from Waseda University, Tokyo.

不動産業界での実績は30年を超える。住友不動産に入社すると、日本でマンション開発に5年間従事した後、アメリカで13年余りを過ごし、住友不動産の米国事業の責任者を務めた。2002年にシービー・リチャードエリス・インベスターズ・ジャパンへマネージングディレクターとして入社すると、外資系初のJ-REIT設立を主導した。同J-REITに3年間携わった後、そのスポンサー会社であるニューシティコーポレーションに社長として迎えられたのに加え、関連会社の代表取締役にも就任。2010年からはCBREグローバルインベスターズ・ジャパン（旧ING不動産投資顧問との合併会社）の日本事業を代表取締役社長として統括しており、外国資本を日本へ呼びこんでいるほか、国外の投資案件向けに国内の機関投資家から資本を集めている。早稲田大学卒業。

Ayaka Fujiwara is Climate Investment Specialist at the Green Climate Fund (GCF)’s Private Sector Facility, where she is responsible for the origination and appraisal of private sector climate projects and programmes since 2018. Ayaka has 12 years of experience in corporate, fixed income and equity investments. Prior to joining the GCF, she has spent previously served as Associate Director in Daiwa Capital Markets’ Tokyo headquarter and London office, where she provided fixed income investment strategy and managed transactions with institutional investors. Ayaka holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from Keio University in Japan and M.Sc. in Finance from London Business School, U.K. She is a Ph.D candidate in Green Finance at Inha University, Republic of Korea.

J.J. Haines is the Head of Global Real Estate Structured Debt at Aozora Bank. He is responsible for the bank’s ex-Japan real estate lending activity, which focuses on developed markets such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. Prior to joining Aozora, he worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was most recently Japan COO of Global Corporate & Investment Banking. Prior to BofAML, he worked in both real estate finance origination and risk management at Shinsei Bank. Mr. Haines began his career in sales and marketing at Hakuto Co., Ltd. He holds a BA from Amherst College, an MA from Columbia University, and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Horie is Co-founder and CEO of CSR Design Green Investment Advisory, Co., Ltd., which focuses on ESG advisory in the real estate and infrastructure sectors as well as research on green buildings and sustainable finance. He graduated from University of Tokyo and holds an MBA degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Horie served as a member of global Advisory Group of UNEP FI Property Working Group, and currently, he is a member of global Real Estate Advisory Committee of PRI. Horie has also participated in many governmental committees on ESG organized by Japanese MLIT and other ministries as a member or chairperson.

Akihisa Hoshino joined the Mitsui Trust and Banking Company, Limited (current "Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited") in 1992. Since 2005, he has been a fund manager in the pension fund management department and in charge of investing entrusted money into domestic and overseas real estate private funds, private REITs etc. Before that, he experienced real estate brokerage operations and pension fund management operations related business in the real estate sector. He was also seconded to Nippon Building Fund Management Ltd. which is a J-REIT asset management company. He is a real estate appraiser, a Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA), an ARES Certified Master, and a Certified Financial Planner(CFP). He graduated from Hitotsubashi University (BA in Law).

Inae Hwang is the Head of Real Estate Finance and Investment Department in Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance ("SFMI"), where she is in charge of managing and investing in domestic and overseas real estate asset deals, global blind funds, and project financing. Prior to the current role, she was a Senior Manager in Alternative Investment Credit Analysis and, previously, was a manager in Infrastructure Investment Departmemt, and a Project Manager in Real Estate Development Team. Before joining SFMI in 2012, she worked for a Trust Company as an Asset Manager, who was responsible for managing a multi-tenants retail mall. She began her career at an architectural company as a Business Developer, who was in charge of business proposal for domestic and overseas real estate developments and city master plans.
Inae is a CFA, and received a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from MIT.

Seunghwan Hwang is the Head of Global Real Estate Investment and Head of Alternative Portfolio Operations at Hanwha Asset Management Company (“HAMC”) with overall responsibility for leading the firm’s overseas real estate investments, and managing alternative investment funds. He also serves as a member of the firm’s real estate investment committees. Prior to joining HAMC in 2018, Mr. Hwang was a legal and compliance officer at Mirae Asset Global Investment, where he was involved in fund structuring, investment transactions, and other legal and compliance matters. Previously, Mr. Hwang started his career at Mirae Asset Fund Services as a fund accountant. Mr. Hwang received a B.A. from Konkuk University, and is an AICPA

Eun-young Hyun is Head of Real Estate Division at Midas International Asset Management (Midas), where she is responsible for all investment management of the real estate asset class including investment, asset management, capital raising and fund management.
Prior to joining Midas, she worked at various firms in the US and Korea, including Gale International, with an extensive experience in investment, asset management and development.
Ms. Hyun earned a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from Yonsei University and a master’s degree in Real Estate from Harvard University.

Satoshi Ikeda has been the Chief Sustainable Finance Officer (CFSO) since March 2019 at the Financial Services Agency of Japan (JFSA).

In this role, he covers a wide range of issues concerning sustainable finance which include, among other things, designing Japan’s climate transition finance framework based on climate-related financial disclosures aligned with International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) standards.

He currently serves as Chair of the Working Group on Transition Plan of the Financial Stability Board (FSB) and Co-chair of the Working Group on Transition Finance of the International Platform on Sustainable Finance (IPSF). He also successfully co-led the Workstream on Climate Disclosures of the FSB, the Workstream on ESG Data and Ratings of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), and the Working Group on Sustainability Disclosure of the International Platform on Sustainable Finance (IPSF).

Sorim designs marketing campaigns to attract investors, provides disposition advice, and oversees local and international capital market deals. He also oversees commercial real estate transactions, including office, hotel, retail shops, and mixed use assets.

Sorim’s work experience in BHP Korea, KPMG FAS, and Samsung C&T has helped her gain valuable insights in different markets, including real estate, asset management, and construction. To date, she has successfully closed a number of prominent deals, such as the State Tower Namsan office in April 2019.

Sorim has a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan.

Masamu Kakinoki (Tokyo) joined KKR in 2020 and is leading Real Estate strategy marketing in Japan.
Prior to joining KKR, he was with Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he marketed alternative products.
He holds a B.A. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Bath.

Matthew Kaplan is the Head of Almanac, Chairman of Almanac’s investment committee and Managing Director of Neuberger Berman. Since 1996, Matthew has been the portfolio manager for the ARS Fund Series, overseeing the placement of $6.9 billion of commitments into 49 companies. He is currently a member of Neuberger Berman’s Operating Committee and serves on the boards of certain Almanac portfolio companies, including Storage Post, PREP Property Group and ReNew Senior Living. He has also served on the boards of Allegro Holdings, Ambassador Apartments Inc., CNL Financial Services, CNL Hospitality Properties, Encore Hospitality, Hallmark Holdings, National RV Communities, Parkway Properties, RXR Realty, Vanta Commercial Properties, Winter Properties, WNY Group and Westcore Properties.

Prior to joining Almanac’s predecessor, Rothschild Realty, in 1992, Matthew served in the Corporate Finance Department of Rothschild Inc and began his career as a management consultant at Touche Ross & Co in 1988.

Matthew is a member of NAREIT’s Real Estate Investment Advisory Council, a Research Sponsor at the Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center of the Wharton School, an Associate Member of the Pension Research Council of the Wharton School, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Ohio State University Center for Real Estate.

Matthew graduated cum laude from Washington University in 1984 and received an MBA from University of Pennsylvania – Wharton School in 1988.

Shinji Kawano is a Head of Global Investment Department in Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance (TMNF) and spearheads its alternative investments across private equity, private debt, hedge fund and real estate. Prior to assuming the current post in 2021, he held various senior positions in real estate investment at Tokio Marine Asset Management (TMAM), an asset management arm of TMNF. Prior to joining TMAM, he worked as a portfolio manager in Tokio Marine Fire & Insurance (presently, TMNF) where he was responsible for direct real estate investments in Japan and the UK, as well as indirect real estate investments in the US.

川野真治氏は、東京海上日動火災保険株式会社（TMNF）のオルタナティブ投資グループのリーダーとして、プライベートエクイティ、プライベートデット、ヘッジファンド、不動産などのオルタナティブ投資全般の陣頭指揮を執る。2021年の現職就任前は、東京海上日動の資産運用部門である東京海上アセットマネジメント（TMAM）で不動産投資のさまざまな上級職を歴任した。それ以前は、東京海上火災保険（現・東京海上日動火災保険）でポートフォリオマネージャーとして、日本と英国における直接不動産投資および米国での間接不動産投資を担当した。

Bom-jhun Kim joined Korean Reinsurance Company in 2015 and is overseeing its real estate investments. Prior to joining the reinsurance company, he held various positions at Hana Alternative Asset Management, Hana Real Estate Trust, and Samsung Corporation. Bomjhun holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Seoul National University.

Current position is a Managing Director of Hana Financial Investment (Top Investment Bank in Korean Real Estate Finance industry) as a head of Real Asset Investment Finance Department leading a Real Estate Investment Business in Korean Domestic and Global Overseas since beginning of year 2020. Working experience in Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance as a Real Estate Finance and Investment Manager for 10 years (2010~2019) before Hana. Overseas Investment Team Leader was a last position in Samsung. 2.5 years with Shinhan Securities (IB Securities Firm in Korea) for the Global Real Estate Investment Manager before Samsung. Career started with Hyundai Engineering and Construction for 10 years (1998~2007) in a sector of Overseas Business (7 years including 5 years Hong Kong) and Development Business Manager in Korea. Bachelor's degree from Korea Univ. major in Architecture. Master's Degree from the Univ. of Hong Kong major in Real Estate Finance and Investment.

김도일 상무는 하나금융투자(국내 부동산 금융업계 최고의 투자은행)의 상무이사로 2020년 연초부터 국내외 실물자산투자금융부서에서 부동산 투자 사업을 이끌고 있습니다. 하나금융그룹 합류 이전 약 10년간 삼성화재에서 부동산 금융 및 운용역으로 근무한 경력을 보유하고 있으며 이때 해외투자팀장직책을 역임했습니다. 삼성 화재에 앞서 글로벌 부동산 투자운용역으로 신한증권에서 약 2년 6개월간 근무하였으며, 부동산 투자 업무 경력은 해외사업부문(홍콩 5년 포함 7년) 포함 총 10년 (1998~2007)을 재직한 현대건설 개발사업부에서 부터 시작되었습니다. 고려대학교 건축학 학사를 수여 받았으며, 홍콩 대학교에서 부동산 금융 및 투자 석사 학위를 취득했습니다.

Eui-Kyung Kim is the Head of Corporate Finance at Tongyang Life Insurance. He joined Tongyang Life in August 2016 as the Alternative Investment Team Head at its investment division, managing Tongyang Life's alternative investment AUM of 7.7 trillion Korean won. Before joining Tongyang Life, he worked as a Senior Manager of the Alternative Investment Team at Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance’s investment division where he executed 693 billion ($561.98 million) won worth of Loan and 196.9 billion won ($159.49million) worth of Equity. From August 2010 to October 2012, he was a Senior Manager of an investment management division at Asia Asset Management where he executed 35 billion won worth of Real Estate investment through a Korean trust vehicle. Jin Hwan is a Senior Investment Manager of the Overseas/Domestic Real Estate and Infrastructure portfolio at TEACHERS’ PENSION, KOREA. Jin Hwan began his career at the TEACHERS’ PENSION in 2008 and since then he has gained extensive investment experience and assumed various responsibilities including Strategic Asset Allocation, Overseas Fixed Income & Equity portfolio. Prior to his current role, he had managed the Pension’s overall overseas alternative investment assets.

Kensuke Kudo (Tokyo) joined KKR in 2022 and is a member of the Asian Real Estate team. Andy (Hakku) Lee leads 40 professionals at the Alternative Investment Division of DAOL Asset Management (DAOL). He oversees the firm’s infrastructure, REITs, shipping, and PE operations. Bob McClain is the Chief Executive Officer of Crow Holdings Capital. He is the head of the CHC Investment Committees and is responsible for real estate investment activities at CHC.

Bob has been with Crow-affiliated companies since 1986, when he joined the Trammell Crow Company in the Washington, D.C. office. He advanced to partner in the Northeast region in 1989. In 1994 he became a Managing Director of the Crow Investment Trust of Crow Holdings, responsible for shopping center investments. In 2005 he was promoted to Head of Real Estate for Crow Holdings. Seonghun Min has been a professor in the Department of Urban Planning and Real Estate at the University of Suwon since 2012. He researches real estate finance focusing on investment strategy, benchmark index, and ESG integration. He authored two books: ‘Real Estate Investment’ and ‘ESG, The Future of Investment’. He serves as the member of the Alternative Investment Committee of National Pension Service and Government Employees Pension Service and the member of the Asset Management Committee of Housing and Urban Fund, which are representative public funds in Korea.
He was the Head of the Investment Division in Nomura-Rifa Asset Management before moving into academia. He has almost 18 years of experience as a fund manager, investment banker, and development consultant. Currently, he is involved in the ESG integration of several real estate companies. Atsushi Miura is a Managing Director in the Real Estate group and is based in Tokyo. Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Miura was a director at Fortress Investment Group, responsible for acquisitions and asset management of real estate investments throughout Japan. Mr. Miura started his career in the investment banking group at Merrill Lynch with a focus on real estate capital market transactions. Mr. Miura received a BA in law from University of Tokyo.

Mr. Muto is a senior vice president focused on PIMCO’s Real Estate & Alternative Credit platform, based in the Tokyo office. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2022, he was the head of CBRE Capital Advisors Japan, responsible for investment advisory and equity/debt placement and focusing on cross-border transactions for Japanese institutional capital. Previously, he was the Japan representative for Duet Alternative Investments, where he launched the Japan business, spearheaded private equity and hedge fund business. Prior to this, he served as CEO at RG Asset Management Singapore and held senior roles at Daiwa SMBC and The Sumitomo Bank. Hidetoshi Ono recently joined Tsao Family Office (TFO) to lead their real estate investment and portfolio management in Japan. TFO was established in July 2016 to manage the assets of the Tsao family, one of Asia’s most enduring family businesses with a history that stretches over a century. The investment proceeds fund various philanthropic initiatives through Tsao Foundation and other organizations.
Hidetoshi has more than 30 years of real estate and senior management experience in abrdn, Manulife, AXA, ING (now CBRE GI), GE, and Mitsui Fudosan. Before joining TFO, he was Head of Direct Real Estate –Japan and responsible for managing 15 senior housing value- add portfolio in Japan. Prior to abrdn, Ono-san was the Managing Director, Japan Real Estate at Manulife where he was responsible for the company’s real estate investment in Japan as well as the corporate real estate needs for the life insurance operation with 100 locations nation-wide. At AXA, Ono-san was Head of Japan Core Fund based in Singapore. He was the Managing Director/Country Manager-Japan for ING Real Estate where he started their Japan Office, grew the business in four years to US$3 billion assets under management with 45 people. Ono-san holds MBA from Stanford University and graduated from Hitotsubashi University with Bachelor of Social Studies.

Joon (Byoung-Joon) Park is the Chief Investment Officer of Vestas Investment Management, overseeing the firm’s domestic and overseas real estate investments. Prior to joining Vestas in February 2016, he held various roles across the real estate investment and management spectrum in various institutions, such as Samsung SRA Asset Management, Mirae Asset Maps Global Investments, CB Richard Ellis Korea, and Samsung Engineering & Construction. He also served as a site engineer for his special military service at Halla Engineering & Construction. Wan Sun Park has primary responsibility for institutional investor relationships and fundraising in South Korea, Malaysia and Thailand. He is based in Hong Kong. Before joining TransPacific, Wan Sun served as Leader of the Alternative Investment Team at Fubon Hyundai Life Insurance, where he oversaw the firm’s private equity, private debt, infrastructure, and other alternative investments. Wan Sun also sat on the investment committees of several other leading Korean institutions during his tenure at Fubon Hyundai. He was previously an Associate Director at Aberdeen Standard Investments, where he developed relationships and raised capital from Korean institutions. Wan Sun was previously a Manager at Hyundai Marine and Fire Insurance on the Alternative Investment Team responsible for direct investment and fund selection. Won Joon Park currently holds a CEO position at DS Networks AMC, a finance subsidiary of DS Networks which is one of the biggest residential development company in Korea. Prior to the current position, Mr. Park took on various positions in other financial organizations.
He served as a Senior Managing Director of Hana Alternative Asset Management for 3 years, CIO of Construction Workers Mutual Aid Association for 6 years (2010-2016), and filled the role as Executive Director at Doran Capital Partners for 2 years respectively (2008-2010).
Mr. Park also held positions as Portfolio Manager at National Pension Services and Director at GE Capital, respectively.

Michael Regan is a Managing Director, Investments. He serves as the Head of Real Estate Equity and is responsible for leading CIM Group’s real estate acquisition efforts across all U.S. markets. Prior to joining CIM Group in 2011, Mr. Regan worked in the Leveraged Finance and Debt Capital Markets groups at Citigroup. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Mr. Saito is Head of Overseas Property Investment and responsible for all overseas real estate investment activities since April 2021. He started his career at Mori Trust Co., Ltd., where he was involved in acquisition of income producing properties and development sites and in the sale of assets to foreign investors. In 2006, he joined TMPIM and was involved in acquisition, fund management, new business development and market research. Beginning in March 2012, he was involved in the establishment of overseas real estate investment platforms, and leads management of overseas real estate fund of funds and a large financial institution’s separate account.

Andrew Shin joined Willis Towers Watson in 2012 and is Head of Investment Services, Korea, advising Korean institutions. Andrew commenced his investment career in Canada progressing through a number of roles including product development, research analyst and investment management. He returned to Korea in 2007 to take up a Global Portfolio Manager role at the Asset Management Division of Dongbu Insurance. Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson in 2012, he was also a Senior Manager at the Structured Finance Team within the Investment Banking Group at Hanwha Investment Securities. Andrew holds a BA in Economics from Simon Fraser University in Canada and also holds various professional designations including the CFA Charter, FRM, CAIA and CMA designations. Eonbin Shin has more than 20 years of experience in Sustainability and Climate change consulting services. He has experience in establishing ESG management strategies for Korean conglomerates. Eonbin has led various activities to improve ESG performance such as environmental efficiency analysis, climate change response strategy, and also has developed manuals for human rights management system.

Sugauchi Koji joined Osaka Shoko Shinkin Bank in 2016 as a head of investment. His responsibilities include alternative investment, equity and fixed income investments. Prior to the Osaka Shoko Shinkin Bank, he joined Dai-ichi Life in 1983. He worked as a credit analyst, an equity analyst and a fund manager at Dai-ichi Life, DIAM Asset Management and a merchant bank in Singapore. And he worked at Tokai Tokyo Financial Holdings as a General Manager of Foreign Company Research Department.

Ken joined GIC in April 2017 and is the Representative Director overseeing Japan real estate investing. Prior to GIC, Ken worked at Goldman Sachs from 1999 to 2017 as Managing Director in the Merchant Banking and Realty Management Divisions. He worked on various real estate acquisitions including office, retail, residential, lodging and golf properties, as well as non-performing loans. During his 18 year tenure, Ken also held various loan and real estate asset management roles including serving as the Representative Director for Minato Servicing and Goldman Sachs Realty Japan. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Ken worked at Mizuho Trust and Banking. Kiyosei Sugioka is a Head of Alternative Investments in ORIX Life Insurance Corporation, covering Private Equity, Private Debt, Infrastructure and Real Estate. Prior to joining ORIX Life in 2019, he was in Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) where he served for five years, as portfolio manager for Private Assets including Real Estate. Naoki Suzuki is President of KJR Management, a KKR subsidiary and the largest manager of listed J-REITs, since April 2022 as well as Chief Sustainability Officer since January 2020. Ayaka has joined Japan Science and Technology Agency (“JST”) in April 2022 as the Head of Real Estate and Infrastructure Investments, where she is responsible for planning, executing and monitoring the Real Estate and Infrastructure investment of Japan’s university fund. Prior to joining JST, she had spent over 14years at Mitsui & Co. Alternative Investments (“MAI”), where she was Managing Director of product management and responsible for real asset alternative investments strategies. Prior to MAI, she had worked for JP Morgan Securities Japan Co., Ltd. and Bank of America Securities Japan Co., Ltd. for several years respectively. Tang is an executive director and head of capital markets at Cottonwood Group. Cottonwood Group is a US private equity real estate firm that employs a multi-strategy approach to investing in real estate with approximately $3bn in AUM. He oversees the firm’s global capital markets strategies and is a member of the firm’s management committee. Before joining Cottonwood, Tang grew a Seattle-based family office’s real estate initiative from inception to managing over $1Bn in capital commitments in approximately seven years. He has more than ten years of real estate and global capital markets experience. Tang received a business administration degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University.

She joined Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation (MUTB) in 2018 as a product manager of global alternative investments, primary covers global real estate and farmland investments. As a gate keeper of pension funds, she has been involved in a number of commingle funds and SMAs managed by global/Japan domestic asset managers. Before joining MUTB, she was working at Moody’s Japan K.K as a credit analyst for 11 years engaged in real estate finance and consumer/SME credit securitization programs. She took a lead analyst role in CMBS and ABS transactions. More recently, she worked at a Japan domestic private equity firm and experienced various roles such as IR, fund raising and fund accounting.

Katsuyuki Tokushima has more than 30 years’ experience in investment for life insurance and pension business. He has broad experiences, such as asset allocation, fixed income investment, and risk management. He is a well-known practitioner in credit investments, especially for corporate bonds. He has written many books and articles on financial markets and pensions. He serves as a member of investment committees for several public pension entities. He is a graduate of Kyoto University and holds M.B.A. in finance and accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He teaches at several universities and business schools in Japan, and is a member of editorial committee for Securities Analysts Journal of Japan. He is a board member of Nippon Finance Association and The Japanese Association of Value-Creating ERM.

Simon is CEO of Private Equity Real Estate (PERE) at CapitaLand Investment (CLI), responsible for driving the growth of real estate assets under management and funds under management (FUM) for CLI’s PERE business. Prior to joining CLI in 2021, Simon was the Managing Director, Global Chief Investment Officer and Head of U.S. Equity for BlackRock Real Estate, where he was responsible for the overall investment strategy and performance of global real estate portfolios, including real estate funds, investment vehicles and research worldwide. Before joining BlackRock, Simon was co-founder, director and global CEO of MGPA, which held real estate FUM of over US$14 billion across Europe and Asia. He is Head of Commercial Real Estate Debt and member of the Alternative Credit Management Team within NN Investment Partners, headquartered in The Netherlands. He started the CRE Debt platform in 2014 at ING Investment Management (NN Investment Partners’ predecessor) and has since then been responsible for scaling up the European platform to the current ca. EUR 5bn AuM spread across 14 countries.
Lennart is Vice-Chairman of the INREV Debt Vehicles Focus Group and was a member of the Debt Advisory Board for the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB).
Prior to NN IP, Lennart held positions up to VP at ING Real Estate Finance in The Netherlands, Spain and France, covering the European market, focusing on complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions (loan origination, distribution and restructuring). Lennart joined ING Bank initially as a Real Estate Management Trainee, performing rotations in The Netherlands, Central & Eastern Europe, Spain & Portugal and Operations.

After Hideto Yamada has been with the Mitsui Fudosan Group for 35 years, he joined Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) in 2017 and leads global real estate investment. He is highly experienced in all areas of real estate including investment, consultancy and corporate management particularly in cross-border business. He is an international economics graduate, fellow member of RICS and US-certified public accountant.

Atsunori Yamaura is Director, Alternative Advisory Division where he oversees alternative consulting activities in Japan. Prior to joining Russell Investments in 2007, he held several positions at Resona Bank in roles such as portfolio manager, business development and client relationship. Bachelor of Engineering from Doshisha University.

From 2015 to 2023, he served as the President & CEO of Sumisho Realty Management, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation, and expanded its AUM to over ¥700 billion. He diversified the firm's investments in structures such as SOSiLA Logistic REIT(publicly-traded) and SC Realty Private REIT(privately-placed) alongside a broad spectrum of separate accounts.

In 2024, Joined ES-CON JAPAN Ltd., a leading vertically integrated, diversified developer and currently responsible for overseas investment and asset management business. Earlier, at Sumitomo Corporation, he held pivotal roles and managed a comprehensive real estate portfolio in both Japan and the US, encompassing residential, commercial, and logistics sectors. He graduated from Kyoto University in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. Also, he is a licensed architect in Japan, an esteemed ARES Certified Master, APREA Board Member/Japan Chapter Chairperson and RICS Japan, MEG Co-chairperson (FRICS).

Jayme Han, Managing Director and Head of Asia ex-Japan is responsible for Pretium Partners’ coverage of Asia in the firm's Business Development. Ms Han takes on regional responsibilities focused on distribution within Asia Pacific. She maintains and expands a solid network with managers and investors and leads fund raising across the region, as well as assists in the execution of complex investment opportunities. Ms Han has over 24 years of investment management experience. Most of her career was spent with National Pension Service (NPS), one of the world's biggest pension funds and a leading international investor, where she was one of the founding members of its alternative program and led the opening & build-out of the NPS office in London. Her most recent role was with Jones Lang LaSalle as Executive Director in its Equity Advisory Group. She also served as Head of Alternative for Tong Yang Life Insurance, the fifth largest insurer in Korea.

Atsuko Iino joined the Industrial Bank of Japan, Limited in 1990. Following that she worked for the Mizuho Research Institute, before joining the Sony Corporation in 2003. As the senior manager of Sony's Finance Division, she managed pension assets and liability for Sony and its group subsidiaries. She also served as the chief investment officer of Sony's Pension Fund, and the General Manager of Sony's group subsidiaries.
She has been working for the National Pension Fund Association since October 2015 and is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan, Board member of the Pension Academy of Japan and member of the Nippon Finance Association. She received her MBA in Finance from Hitotsubashi University and a BSc from Tokyo Women's Christian University.

Harumi Kadono has over 15 years of experiences in real estate investment and finance. Ms. Kadono oversees all of IDERA's fund management activities, including investment strategy development, capital raising and investor reporting. She joined APJ in 2009 and contributed to the firm's growth by executing multiple recapitalization transactions while providing fund management services to a wide range of international investors. Prior to joining APJ, she spent 4 years at GIC Real Estate and led a project to form and manage a real estate fund investing in properties including Class S office buildings in central Tokyo and retail development projects. Prior to that, she held various positions at GE Real Estate, including in the asset management team and the mezzanine debt team where she executed and serviced multiple non-recourse loans.

Rok (Gyeong Rok) Kim is a senior manager for the Real Estate Investment Team at The Korean Teachers’ Credit Union (KTCU). He is based in Seoul, South Korea and is responsible for KTCU’s real estate investments by overseeing its North American and European portfolios. With over 15 years spent in the alternative investment industry, he has an extensive investment experience across private equity, infrastructure and real estate. Prior to KTCU’s real estate investment team, he worked within the organization as a senior risk analysis manager for the private equity, private credit and infrastructure investments. He earned his MS degree in Finance from Indiana Kelly School of Business and an MBA from SungKyunkwan University in South Korea.

Mr. Kwon joined Samsung SRA in 2017 and has built a Global Fund of Funds platform with over $3 Billion of capital commitments aggregated across regions, sectors and strategies in both real estate private equity and debt.

Prior to joining Samsung SRA, Mr. Kwon was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Hanwha and he was a Founding Director of Hanwha AMC’s Singapore office as a Registered Fund Manager for Alternative Investments.

Before that, he held positions at Deloitte Financial Advisory, Hanwha E&C’s Development project in Iraq and Savills Korea where he managed GIC’s Class A office and retail properties.

Mr. Kwon holds a Bachelor’s degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Korea Lacrosse Association.

Song-ah LEE is the Head of the Alternative Investment Team II and a director at Kyobo AXA Investment Managers(“KAIM”), which is a joint venture between Kyobo Life and AXA Investment Managers.
She is responsible for the origination, execution, and management of domestic and overseas real asset investments.
As one of the setup members of Alternative Investment at KAIM, she has been invested in overseas real estate assets as well as domestic infrastructure assets . She is also in charge of inbound real estate investment on behalf global LPs.
Prior to joining Kyobo AXA Investment Managers, Song-ah had over a decade of the cross-border investment experience focused on the PPP and renewable energy sectors since 2003.
She was the Head of infrastructure investment team in Mirae Asset Global Investments and, prior to that, worked in the SOC investment division of KB Asset management.
Song-ah earned master’s degree in Foreign Direct Investment from KDI School of Public Policy and Management after graduated from Yonsei University.

Taro Ogai is the Head of Investments, International at WTW. He has advised pension funds regarding asset allocation, manager selection and fund governance. Recently, he is working in a variety of role supporting major Japanese companies regarding corporate governance, globalization and M&A.

His experience prior to joining Towers Watson includes management consultant at McKinsey & Company, Inc., global equity portfolio manager and foreign exchange trader at Industrial Bank of Japan.

Mr. Ogai earned his MBA at Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and completed his undergraduate degree at University of Tokyo (B.A. Economics). He is a Chartered Member of the Security Analysts Association of Japan (CMA).

As a team leader of Real Asset Investment Department at Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, Jun brings more than 12 years of experience in real asset investments, including real estate, aircraft, marine vessel and infrastructure assets. June nurtured business relationships with institutional investors for over 12 years by investing in as many as 90 deals totalling $2.4 billion in size. Prior to Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, he worked at SK ecoplant, the construction engineering company headquartered in Seoul, as a junior manager of the overseas infrastructure sales team. He received an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, Master's degree for Civil and Environmental Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and received Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Hanyang University.

Kazunari Yaguchi is a Senior Executive Officer, Head of Real Estate Investment Department of Japan Post Bank. He is responsible for all real estate related investments across the globe by the bank. He joined Japan Post Bank in March 2016 and established its Real Estate Investment from scratch. Now the bank invests sizable capital in all 4 quadrants composed of public-private and equity-debt.

Kazunari has over 20 years of experience in real estate space in both equity and debt investments. Prior to Japan Post Bank, he was an executive director responsible for real estate investment in the Asset Finance Department of Development Bank of Japan (“DBJ”). During his 23 years at DBJ, he originated more than $10 billion of commercial mortgage loans and acquired more than $3 billion of properties. He established its real estate asset management subsidiary which became one of the largest private real estate fund managers in Japan. He received LLB Law from Tohoku University, Japan, and Masters in Finance from London Business School, UK. He is a CFA and CAIA charterholder.
