Ken Aoyama

President & CEO, Samurai Capital

Ken Aoyama founded Samurai Capital in 2009 as President and CEO of the firm. Samurai Capital is an independent fund/asset management firm based in Tokyo. Clients include international institutional investors/funds, family offices, and domestic investors. Samurai Capital focuses on providing unique and tailored investment opportunities to clients. Transactions include a detached-house single-family residential fund, an M&A of self-storage companies and assets, mezzanine financing programs, and an ESG real estate fund. Before Samurai Capital, he was at Morgan Stanley from 2001 to 2009 as Head of its Core Investment Platform. He was in charge of fund raising, finance, acquisitions, and asset management of these funds. He also led multiple transactions for Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund (MSREF). Prior to Morgan Stanley, Ken Aoyama was at Sumitomo Realty from 1993 to 1998, where he managed development projects of office/commercial properties in Japan. He acquired his MBA from the University of Southern California and his Bachelor’s degree in Law from Keio University. Samurai Capital provides investment advisory focused on the balance between creative solution and implementation plan backed by detailed financial model.

Trey Archer

Director, Business Development, Asia, GRESB

Trey was first introduced to ESG during his MBA studies in 2016, where he took courses on sustainability and CSR. After discovering a moral desire to be part of this new sustainable world, he decided to get more involved in ESG and reoriented his career from asset management to renewable energy, taking on the role of Sales Director at Inframation – a leading data provider for infrastructure and renewable energy. Later, he dived deeper into the world of ESG and joined GRESB – the world leader in ESG scoring and benchmarking for real assets – where he currently holds the role of Director, Business Development, Asia and manages the company's expanding presence in the continent. Trey holds an MBA from Hult International Business School and a BA in International Relations from the George Washington University.

Matilde Attolico

Managing Director, Rockpoint

Matilde Attolico is involved in Rockpoint’s Asia Pacific capital raising activities. Ms. Attolico is based in Rockpoint’s London office. Prior to joining Rockpoint in 2021, Ms. Attolico worked at JLL as the Global Head of the Funds Advisory business for about three years. Prior to joining JLL, Ms. Attolico spent over 16 years working in a variety of capital raising and advisory roles at investment advisory boutiques and banks, including Hodes Weill & Associates, Mercury Capital Advisors, Merrill Lynch, and Goldman Sachs. Ms. Attolico serves as a director of Women In Real Estate’s London chapter. Ms. Attolico received a B.A. from Brown University and an M.A. from the Courtauld Institute in London.

Sanghwoi Bae

Chief Executive Officer, ESR Kendall Square REIT

Mr. Sanghwoi Bae joined ESR Kendall Square in 2019 as the head of Income JV investment. He then joined Kendall Square REIT Management to spearhead ESR Kendall Square REIT’s (KOSPI 365550, the “REIT”) IPO and investment. After completing the REIT IPO at the end of 2020, he became the CEO of the REIT Management.
Mr. Bae has 15 years of Korean real estate investment experience. He held roles across the investment banking and private equity in real estate spectrum in various financial institutions, including LaSalle Investment Management and Hana Financial Group. Mr. Bae received his Bachelor of Art degree in International Relations from Boston University.

Steven Bass

Senior Director, Portfolio Manager, Alternatives and Strategic Transactions, Nuveen Real Estate

Steve is the lead portfolio manager for the Japan Alternatives Living Fund, a specialist strategy investing in senior housing and other alternative living sectors such as student housing, single family, and co-living in Greater Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.

Prior to joining Nuveen in 2022, Steve founded AR Capital Advisors, a boutique investment consultancy focused on applications of data science to Japan's living sectors. Previously, Steve led Tokyo-based investment teams and served on investment committees for real estate managers including CBRE IM, AEW and Macquarie Group. From 2010 to 2018, Steve was a Partner at Orion Partners (acquired by abrdn) where he headed a series of value-add funds specializing in Japan’s seniors housing and care sector and served on investment committees covering Korea and China. He entered the industry in 1998.

Steve graduated with a B.A. in economics from Vassar College in New York and a Ph.D. in Urban Planning from UCLA. He studied economics at Gakushuin University in Tokyo on a scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education and is fluent in Japanese. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute's APAC Housing Council and Japan Council.

Chungha Cha

Board Member, Koramco Real Estate Fund

Cha worked in finance for 20+ years (Citibank in New York, Sydney and Honolulu, Yasuda Trust Bank in Tokyo, Board Member to Asian Merchant Bank and CEO of Lone Star Real Estate Funds in Seoul). And, since 2008, Cha has focused his career on smart, resilient cities, innovation districts, digital twins and the decarbonization of the built environment.

In our Decade of Action 2021-2030, let us strive together toward the UN SDG’s and Climate Action through the development of healthy, resilient, carbon neutral communities. We need to accelerate Net Zero Carbon cities by 2050. With rapid global urbanization where millions of people continue to migrate into our cities, the rapid development of nature-based, sustainable mixed use communities integrated with innovation districts may help decouple economic growth from GHG emissions.

Top three (3) initiatives to help accelerate the decarbonization of the built environment:
1. Urban Land Institute Asia Pacific – Co-Chair of Resilient Cities Council and Instructor for ULI Executive Learning Series: “Decarbonization of the Built Environment: Making the Financial Case”.
2. Koramco Fund with US$20 billion+ real estate assets. Serving on the Board of Directors to help strengthen ESG and decarbonization policies and strategies.
3. PMC Innovation District development north of Seoul. Approx. US$2 billion development of 3,500 residential units, a hospital, cancer research center and a life sciences ecosystem, among other “live, work, play” amenities, we want to showcase how we might “design, build & operate” sustainable communities of the future.

Cha graduated Columbia Business School, MBA 1985 (Majors: Accounting, Finance & Real Estate) and the Wharton School, BS in Economics 1979 (Majors: International Finance & Data Science). Cha is married for 30+ years and has two daughters. Cha enjoys mountain biking, Pilates and traveling the world to study smart city initiatives; to share with and learn from the stakeholders involved. However, working from home since March, 2020. Looking forward to traveling again soon, without pandemic related restrictions.

Byung-kyu Cheon

Chief Investment Officer, DGB Life insurance

Byung-kyu Cheon is the CFO of DGB Life insurance. He has 26 years of experience both in the Korean and the International financial markets. He started his career in trading. He expanded his investment career into the fund management industry and the insurance industry. He has built a well-proven, consistent record of meaningful above-average investment performance through market cycles.
At DGB Life, he is responsible for the fixed income and derivative investments. He also oversees active trading of principal risk positions and policy-holder accounts of the company. He has developed and implemented strategic investment and research policies. He is also overseeing DGB Life’s client relationship management and business development efforts with a focus on mutual funds, corporate clients and government agency-related portfolios.
Before joining DGB Life, he worked at Woori Investment & Securities HK, Woori CS Asset management, KB Asset management and LG investment Securities. He earned a Doctoral degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, an M.A. from Yonsei University and a B.A. from Busan National University.

Devin Chen

Portfolio Manager, Commercial Real Estate, PIMCO

Mr. Chen is an executive vice president and portfolio manager in the Newport Beach office. He leads commercial real estate (CRE) strategy and is a member of the investment committees for PIMCO’s CRE equity and debt strategies. He has experience across all major CRE sectors, including asset and corporate investments. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2010, he was with private equity real estate firm JER Partners for 11 years, most recently as managing director and a member of the firm's investment committee. Mr. Chen previously worked in the fixed income group of Banc of America Securities. He has 25 years of investment experience and holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Georgetown University.

David Cheong

Managing Director, Real Estate, KKR Asia

David Cheong (Hong Kong) joined KKR in 2015 and is a member of the real estate team. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Cheong was a portfolio manager at LIM Advisors overseeing public and private special situation investments in the Asia-Pacific region based in Hong Kong. Before LIM, Mr. Cheong was a member of the Lehman Brothers real estate private equity team (LBREP) in Tokyo covering Japan and Korea real estate. He started his career at Lehman Brothers Global Real Estate Group in New York. Mr. Cheong holds an M.B.A. and an M.A. from the Wharton School and the Lauder Institute as well as a B.A. and a B.A.S. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Bradford Dockser

Founder and CEO, Green Generation

Bradford H. Dockser is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Green Generation. Founded in 2011, GreenGen transforms and decarbonizes the built environment through its visionary end-to-end approach to innovation and solutions that integrate energy, real estate, technology, and capital markets to Operate in the Green.
Throughout two decades of real estate investing, Brad was a Principal with MacFarlane Partners and the Founding Partner and Managing Director of Starwood Capital Europe and Starwood Capital Asia overseeing operations in each region. Brad began his career with JMB Realty, then the largest US real estate firm, and later with CRI, then the largest owner of multifamily residential properties, where he oversaw the creation of Capital Apartment Properties REIT (CAPREIT).
Brad received an A.B. cum laude in Economics and an MBA, both from Harvard University. Brad serves as a Global Governing Trustee of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) and is a member of the Global Advisory Board for ULI's Randall Lewis Center for Sustainability in Real Estate. He is also on the ULI Global Exchange Product Council. He previously served as the Chair of ULI’s Redevelopment and Reuse Product Council, as a Non-executive Director of London-based Impact Investment firm Conduit Capital, and previously founded the ULI Washington’s Sustainability Initiative. He is a member of The Economic Club of Washington DC, US Green Building Council, and International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP). Brad is a mentor for MetaProp (NY), and a CREtech Leadership Board member. He was also Founding Director of the Greater Washington Exploratory Committee, DC’s bid committee for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

Daniel R. Dubrowski

Co-Founder and Head of Capital Formation, Lionstone Investments/Columbia Threadneedle Investments

Dan Dubrowski is a co-founding partner of Lionstone Investments. As Head of Capital Formation, he leads capital efforts across the firm’s investment strategies, with primary responsibility for investor relationships, fundraising, marketing and communications, new business generation, and the structuring of new investment products. Mr. Dubrowski is a voting member of the Investment Committee and Management Committee of the firm. Prior to Lionstone, he was a senior officer with Hines for ten years. Before that, he was an auditor and consultant with Arthur Andersen LLP in New York. He received a B.S. in Business Administration from Georgetown University and an MBA from Harvard University.

Sean Egan

CEO, Egan-Jones Ratings

Sean Egan is a founding partner and president of Egan-Jones Ratings Company (EJR), which was organized in 1992 for the purpose of providing timely, accurate credit ratings. Over the past decade, EJR provide risk managers with warnings on Ambac, Countrywide, Enron, Greece, Lehman, MBIA, New Century and many others well in advance of the majority of market participants. Fortune Magazine named Mr. Egan the number one person for warning about the 2007 credit crisis. Mr. Egan has appeared on most major media outlets and has testified numerous times in front of Congressional committees. Prior to founding Egan-Jones, Mr. Egan worked as a commercial banker for JP Morgan, as an investment banker for Oppenheimer, and as a management consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick. Mr. Egan graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo and received an MBA from Harvard University.

Jiroo Eoh

Department Head of Alternative Investment, ABL Life Insurance

Jiroo Eoh is the Department Head of Alternative Investment at ABL Life Insurance (Korea). Jiroo is in charge of all alternative investment sectors. Previously, Jiroo worked with Macquarie Group (Macquarie Capital and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, both Australia and Korea). He is experienced in not only advisory businesses but also established and managed various funds such as Macquarie Korea Infrastructure Fund (MKIF), PPP funds, power and energy related infrastructure funds and real estate/ real asset funds. Jiroo received a Bachelor of Commerce/Law combined degree from University of Sydney and a Master of Laws degree from University of New South Wales in Australia. He is a qualified Lawyer and a CPA in Australia. He is native in both English and Korean.

Toshiyuki Fujii

General Manager of Investment Business Department, MORI TRUST

Toshi Fujii serves as General Manager of Investment Business Department at MORI TRUST Co., LTD. based in Tokyo, Japan. Toshi’s responsibilities include, inter alia, all of MORI TRUST’s real estate investment activities not only in Japan but also overseas, as well as in venture capital and in energy sector. Since joining MORI TRUST’s Investment Business Department in 2013, he has built from the strong team of circa 20 strong management and staff. Since its inception in 2016 and under Toshi’s leadership, his overseas investment team, have successfully acquired in total 7 office buildings in Boston, Silicon Valley, and Northern Virginia and disposed the Silicon Valley office campus in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Toshi has in his years with MORI TRUST also assumed key management roles in affiliates of MORI TRUST. Prior to joining the Investment Business Department, he oversaw MORI TRUST’s finance activities in the Finance and Administration Department.
Toshi is a graduate of Kwansei Gakuin University (Class of 1995) and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce.

Tetsuya Fujita

Country Manager and Managing Director, CBRE Investment Management

Mr. Fujita has over 30 years of experience in real estate industry. He started his career at Sumitomo Realty & Development Co. Ltd. with which he spent 5 years for residential condo development in Japan and over 13 years in U.S. to oversee Sumitomo Realty’s U.S. operation. He joined CB Richard Ellis Investors Japan KK in 2002 as Managing Director and he led to establish a first foreign sponsored J-REIT. After his 3 years tenure at the J-REIT, he was asked to lead its sponsor company, K.K. New City Corporation as President and representative director of its affiliates. Since 2010, Mr. Fujita oversees Japan operations as Country Manager of CBRE Global Investors Japan (Merged with former ING Real Estate Investment Management Japan K.K.) and deploys global capital in Japan as well as raises equities from domestic institutional investors for their global investments. He holds a BA from Waseda University, Tokyo.

Ayaka Fujiwara

Climate Investment Specialist, Green Climate Fund

Ayaka Fujiwara is Climate Investment Specialist at the Green Climate Fund (GCF)’s Private Sector Facility, where she is responsible for the origination and appraisal of private sector climate projects and programmes since 2018. Ayaka has 12 years of experience in corporate, fixed income and equity investments. Prior to joining the GCF, she has spent previously served as Associate Director in Daiwa Capital Markets’ Tokyo headquarter and London office, where she provided fixed income investment strategy and managed transactions with institutional investors. Ayaka holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from Keio University in Japan and M.Sc. in Finance from London Business School, U.K. She is a Ph.D candidate in Green Finance at Inha University, Republic of Korea.

James Haines

General Manager and Head of Global Real Estate Structured Debt, Aozora Bank

J.J. Haines is the Head of Global Real Estate Structured Debt at Aozora Bank. He is responsible for the bank’s ex-Japan real estate lending activity, which focuses on developed markets such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. Prior to joining Aozora, he worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was most recently Japan COO of Global Corporate & Investment Banking. Prior to BofAML, he worked in both real estate finance origination and risk management at Shinsei Bank. Mr. Haines began his career in sales and marketing at Hakuto Co., Ltd. He holds a BA from Amherst College, an MA from Columbia University, and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Ryuichi Horie

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, CSR Design Green Investment Advisory

Horie is Co-founder and CEO of CSR Design Green Investment Advisory, Co., Ltd., which focuses on ESG advisory in the real estate and infrastructure sectors as well as research on green buildings and sustainable finance. He graduated from University of Tokyo and holds an MBA degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Horie served as a member of global Advisory Group of UNEP FI Property Working Group, and currently, he is a member of global Real Estate Advisory Committee of PRI. Horie has also participated in many governmental committees on ESG organized by Japanese MLIT and other ministries as a member or chairperson.

Akihisa Hoshino

Associate General Manager, Alternative Funds Investment Department, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank

Akihisa Hoshino joined the Mitsui Trust and Banking Company, Limited (current "Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited") in 1992. Since 2005, he has been a fund manager in the pension fund management department and in charge of investing entrusted money into domestic and overseas real estate private funds, private REITs etc. Before that, he experienced real estate brokerage operations and pension fund management operations related business in the real estate sector. He was also seconded to Nippon Building Fund Management Ltd. which is a J-REIT asset management company. He is a real estate appraiser, a Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA), an ARES Certified Master, and a Certified Financial Planner(CFP). He graduated from Hitotsubashi University (BA in Law).

Inae Hwang

Head of Real Estate Finance and Investment Department, Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance

Inae Hwang is the Head of Real Estate Finance and Investment Department in Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance ("SFMI"), where she is in charge of managing and investing in domestic and overseas real estate asset deals, global blind funds, and project financing. Prior to the current role, she was a Senior Manager in Alternative Investment Credit Analysis and, previously, was a manager in Infrastructure Investment Departmemt, and a Project Manager in Real Estate Development Team. Before joining SFMI in 2012, she worked for a Trust Company as an Asset Manager, who was responsible for managing a multi-tenants retail mall. She began her career at an architectural company as a Business Developer, who was in charge of business proposal for domestic and overseas real estate developments and city master plans.
Inae is a CFA, and received a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from MIT.

Seung-hwan Hwang

Head of Global Real Estate Investment and Head of Alternative Portfolio Operations, Hanwha Asset Management

Seunghwan Hwang is the Head of Global Real Estate Investment and Head of Alternative Portfolio Operations at Hanwha Asset Management Company (“HAMC”) with overall responsibility for leading the firm’s overseas real estate investments, and managing alternative investment funds. He also serves as a member of the firm’s real estate investment committees. Prior to joining HAMC in 2018, Mr. Hwang was a legal and compliance officer at Mirae Asset Global Investment, where he was involved in fund structuring, investment transactions, and other legal and compliance matters. Previously, Mr. Hwang started his career at Mirae Asset Fund Services as a fund accountant. Mr. Hwang received a B.A. from Konkuk University, and is an AICPA

Eun-Young Hyun

Head of Real Estate, Midas International Asset Management

Eun-young Hyun is Head of Real Estate Division at Midas International Asset Management (Midas), where she is responsible for all investment management of the real estate asset class including investment, asset management, capital raising and fund management.
Prior to joining Midas, she worked at various firms in the US and Korea, including Gale International, with an extensive experience in investment, asset management and development.
Ms. Hyun earned a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from Yonsei University and a master’s degree in Real Estate from Harvard University.

Satoshi Ikeda

Chief Sustainable Finance Officer, Financial Services Agency

In March 2019, the Financial Services Agency of Japan (JFSA) decided to create the position of Chief Sustainable Finance Officer (CSFO), to plan and coordinate on promotion of sustainable finance internally and globally. Upon its creation Satoshi Ikeda was appointed, and has been serving, as the first CSFO. In this capacity, he covers a wide range of issues concerning sustainable finance which include, among other things, aligning private finance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting TCFD disclosures by business corporations and financial institutions alike, and representing JFSA for the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFA) as plenary member.

Sorim Jie

Director, Cushman & Wakefield

Sorim designs marketing campaigns to attract investors, provides disposition advice, and oversees local and international capital market deals. He also oversees commercial real estate transactions, including office, hotel, retail shops, and mixed use assets.

Sorim’s work experience in BHP Korea, KPMG FAS, and Samsung C&T has helped her gain valuable insights in different markets, including real estate, asset management, and construction. To date, she has successfully closed a number of prominent deals, such as the State Tower Namsan office in April 2019.

Sorim has a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan.

Masamu Kakinoki

Principal, KKR Capital Markets Japan

Masamu Kakinoki (Tokyo) joined KKR in 2020 and is leading Real Estate strategy marketing in Japan.
Prior to joining KKR, he was with Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he marketed alternative products.
He holds a B.A. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Bath.

Matthew Kaplan

Managing Director and Team Group Head, Almanac (Neuberger Berman)

Matthew Kaplan is the Head of Almanac, Chairman of Almanac’s investment committee and Managing Director of Neuberger Berman. Since 1996, Matthew has been the portfolio manager for the ARS Fund Series, overseeing the placement of $6.9 billion of commitments into 49 companies. He is currently a member of Neuberger Berman’s Operating Committee and serves on the boards of certain Almanac portfolio companies, including Storage Post, PREP Property Group and ReNew Senior Living. He has also served on the boards of Allegro Holdings, Ambassador Apartments Inc., CNL Financial Services, CNL Hospitality Properties, Encore Hospitality, Hallmark Holdings, National RV Communities, Parkway Properties, RXR Realty, Vanta Commercial Properties, Winter Properties, WNY Group and Westcore Properties.

Prior to joining Almanac’s predecessor, Rothschild Realty, in 1992, Matthew served in the Corporate Finance Department of Rothschild Inc and began his career as a management consultant at Touche Ross & Co in 1988.

Matthew is a member of NAREIT’s Real Estate Investment Advisory Council, a Research Sponsor at the Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center of the Wharton School, an Associate Member of the Pension Research Council of the Wharton School, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Ohio State University Center for Real Estate.

Matthew graduated cum laude from Washington University in 1984 and received an MBA from University of Pennsylvania – Wharton School in 1988.

Shinji Kawano

Head of Global Investment Department, Tokio Marine Holdings

Shinji Kawano is a Head of Global Investment Department in Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance (TMNF) and spearheads its alternative investments across private equity, private debt, hedge fund and real estate. Prior to assuming the current post in 2021, he held various senior positions in real estate investment at Tokio Marine Asset Management (TMAM), an asset management arm of TMNF. Prior to joining TMAM, he worked as a portfolio manager in Tokio Marine Fire & Insurance (presently, TMNF) where he was responsible for direct real estate investments in Japan and the UK, as well as indirect real estate investments in the US.

Bob McClain is the Chief Executive Officer of Crow Holdings Capital. He is the head of the CHC Investment Committees and is responsible for real estate investment activities at CHC.

Bob has been with Crow-affiliated companies since 1986, when he joined the Trammell Crow Company in the Washington, D.C. office. He advanced to partner in the Northeast region in 1989. Seonghun Min

Seonghun Min has been a professor in the Department of Urban Planning and Real Estate at the University of Suwon since 2012. Atsushi Miura

Managing Director, Real Estate, Blackstone

Atsushi Miura is a Managing Director in the Real Estate group and is based in Tokyo. Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Miura was a director at Fortress Investment Group, responsible for acquisitions and asset management of real estate investments throughout Japan. Hidetoshi Ono

Hidetoshi Ono recently joined Tsao Family Office (TFO) to lead their real estate investment and portfolio management in Japan. TFO was established in July 2016 to manage the assets of the Tsao family, one of Asia’s most enduring family businesses with a history that stretches over a century. At AXA, Ono-san was Head of Japan Core Fund based in Singapore. アヤカは、2022 年 4 月に不動産・インフラ投資部長として科学技術振興機構 (「JST」) に入社し、日本の大学基金の不動産・インフラ投資の計画、実行、監視を担当しています。 JST に入社する前は、三井物産オルタナティブインベストメンツ (「MAI」) で 14 年以上勤務し、プロダクト管理のマネージングディレクターとして、実物資産オルタナティブ投資戦略を担当していました。 MAI に入社する前は、JP モルガン証券株式会社とバンク・オブ・アメリカ証券株式会社にそれぞれ数年間勤務していました。彼女は東京大学で法学の学士号を取得しています。

Tang Tang

Executive Director, Head of Capital Markets, Cottonwood Group

Tang is an executive director and head of capital markets at Cottonwood Group. Cottonwood Group is a US private equity real estate firm that employs a multi-strategy approach to investing in real estate with approximately $3bn in AUM. He oversees the firm’s global capital markets strategies and is a member of the firm’s management committee. Before joining Cottonwood, Tang grew a Seattle-based family office’s real estate initiative from inception to managing over $1Bn in capital commitments in approximately seven years. He has more than ten years of real estate and global capital markets experience. Tang received a business administration degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University.

Takako Tokinaga

Portfolio Manager, Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation (MUTB)

She joined Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation (MUTB) in 2018 as a product manager of global alternative investments, primary covers global real estate and farmland investments. As a gate keeper of pension funds, she has been involved in a number of commingle funds and SMAs managed by global/Japan domestic asset managers. Before joining MUTB, she was working at Moody’s Japan K.K as a credit analyst for 11 years engaged in real estate finance and consumer/SME credit securitization programs. She took a lead analyst role in CMBS and ABS transactions. More recently, she worked at a Japan domestic private equity firm and experienced various roles such as IR, fund raising and fund accounting.

2018年にグローバル・オルタナティブ投資ファンド担当としてMUTBに入社、現在は主に不動産投資や農地投資をカバーしている。年金基金のゲートキーパーとして数多くのコミングルファンドやセパレートアカウントに関わっている。ムーディーズ・ジャパンにて不動産ファイナンス、消費者・中小企業クレジット証券化プラグラムのクレジットアナリストとして11年間の経験がある。リードアナリスト（格付主担当者）としてCMBSやABS案件に携わっていた。その後、国内PEでIR、ファンドレイズ、ファンド会計などを経験した。

Katsuyuki Tokushima

Director, Member of the Board and Head of Pension Research and ESG Development, NLI Research Institute

Katsuyuki Tokushima has more than 30 years’ experience in investment for life insurance and pension business. He has broad experiences, such as asset allocation, fixed income investment, and risk management. He is a well-known practitioner in credit investments, especially for corporate bonds. He has written many books and articles on financial markets and pensions. He serves as a member of investment committees for several public pension entities. He is a graduate of Kyoto University and holds M.B.A. in finance and accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He teaches at several universities and business schools in Japan, and is a member of editorial committee for Securities Analysts Journal of Japan. He is a board member of Nippon Finance Association and The Japanese Association of Value-Creating ERM.

Simon Treacy

Chief Executive Officer, Private Equity Real Estate, Real Assets, CapitaLand Investment

Simon is CEO of Private Equity Real Estate (PERE) at CapitaLand Investment (CLI), responsible for driving the growth of real estate assets under management and funds under management (FUM) for CLI’s PERE business. Prior to joining CLI in 2021, Simon was the Managing Director, Global Chief Investment Officer and Head of U.S. Equity for BlackRock Real Estate, where he was responsible for the overall investment strategy and performance of global real estate portfolios, including real estate funds, investment vehicles and research worldwide. Before joining BlackRock, Simon was co-founder, director and global CEO of MGPA, which held real estate FUM of over US$14 billion across Europe and Asia. He was previously President for Hawaii at The Howard Hughes Corporation based in the U.S. where he directed the master planning, development, construction, sales, marketing, operations and marketing activities of the 60-acre Ward Village. Simon has deep experience in Asia, and was based in Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Shanghai over the course of his career. He has over 28 years of experience in infrastructure and real estate across North America, Asia Pacific and Europe. Simon holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing and Human Resources at Griffith University, Australia.

Lennart van Mierlo

Head of Commercial Real Estate Debt, NN Investment Partners

Lennart has spent his career in the Banking and Investment Management industry. He is Head of Commercial Real Estate Debt and member of the Alternative Credit Management Team within NN Investment Partners, headquartered in The Netherlands. He started the CRE Debt platform in 2014 at ING Investment Management (NN Investment Partners’ predecessor) and has since then been responsible for scaling up the European platform to the current ca. EUR 5bn AuM spread across 14 countries.
Lennart is Vice-Chairman of the INREV Debt Vehicles Focus Group and was a member of the Debt Advisory Board for the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB).
Prior to NN IP, Lennart held positions up to VP at ING Real Estate Finance in The Netherlands, Spain and France, covering the European market, focusing on complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions (loan origination, distribution and restructuring). Lennart joined ING Bank initially as a Real Estate Management Trainee, performing rotations in The Netherlands, Central & Eastern Europe, Spain & Portugal and Operations.
Lennart holds an MSc in International Business Administration (General Management) from Nyenrode Business University and an Executive MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.

Hideto Yamada

Head of Global Real Estate, Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF)

After Hideto Yamada has been with the Mitsui Fudosan Group for 35 years, he joined Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) in 2017 and leads global real estate investment. He is highly experienced in all areas of real estate including investment, consultancy and corporate management particularly in cross-border business. He is an international economics graduate, fellow member of RICS and US-certified public accountant.

Atsunori Yamaura

Director, Russell investments

Atsunori Yamaura is Director, Alternative Advisory Division where he oversees alternative consulting activities in Japan. Prior to joining Russell Investments in 2007, he held several positions at Resona Bank in roles such as portfolio manager, business development and client relationship. Bachelor of Engineering from Doshisha University.

Hideki Yano

Director, Strategy & Project Department, ES-CON JAPAN Ltd

From 2015 to 2023, he served as the President & CEO of Sumisho Realty Management, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation, and expanded its AUM to over ¥700 billion. He diversified the firm's investments in structures such as SOSiLA Logistic REIT(publicly-traded) and SC Realty Private REIT(privately-placed) alongside a broad spectrum of separate accounts.

In 2024, Joined ES-CON JAPAN Ltd., a leading vertically integrated, diversified developer and currently responsible for overseas investment and asset management business. Earlier, at Sumitomo Corporation, he held pivotal roles and managed a comprehensive real estate portfolio in both Japan and the US, encompassing residential, commercial, and logistics sectors. He graduated from Kyoto University in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. Also, he is a licensed architect in Japan, an esteemed ARES Certified Master, APREA Board Member/Japan Chapter Chairperson and RICS Japan, MEG Co-chairperson (FRICS).
