At Community Investment Management, Elena Amato serves as a Managing Director on the Investment team and is based out of New York City. Prior to joining CIM, she led business development efforts in New York for DealVector, a fintech analytics firm focused on structured credit. Previously, she was a co-founder, partner, and investment officer at GMG Investment Advisors, a global Emerging Markets asset manager where she was responsible for various aspects of the strategy including managing private credit and impact investment portfolios. Mrs. Amato previously held positions at Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs, where she was part of their Emerging Markets interest rate, currency and derivatives structuring and sales businesses. Mrs. Amato started her career at Cargill Financial Services as an Emerging Markets trader.

Ian Anderson (London) joined KKR in 2014 and is a Managing Director in the Credit & Markets business. He serves as a portfolio manager for the firm’s private credit funds and portfolios and as a member of the European Private Credit Investment Committee. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Anderson was a vice president at Lazard in the corporate finance department, advising a diverse range of European and global corporate clients on M&A transactions and restructurings. Previously, Mr. Anderson worked at Key Capital, an Irish boutique capital markets and asset management firm. Mr. Anderson holds a first class degree in Engineering from Dublin University, Trinity College and is a CFA Charter holder.

Monica Bae is Director of Investor Practice at AIGCC. She manages collaborative engagement with investors in Asia to build capacity and integrate climate-related issues in investment processes, and to increase capital flow into decarbonization to align with a 1.5 degrees future.

She oversees work across several thematic focus areas relating to Paris-aligned investments, energy transition, and forest & land use. She also leads the strategy development and oversees the AIGCC’s Forest and Land Use workstream that supports investors through capacity building and implementation to address deforestation within Asia’s context. She is passionate in facilitating the development of sustainable investments in Asia and is part of global and regional coalitions of leading financial institutions that spearheads sustainable finance initiatives.

Monica has over 16 years of experience in financial services and economic research, especially in managing private debt funds for Asian institutional investors and structuring investment products. Most recently, she was the regional lead in leading nature-positive engagement with Asian capital markets stakeholders at CDP.

Jingjing Bai is a Senior Advisor to bfinance since 2019, based in Hong Kong, and is responsible for multiple private markets fund selection projects in excess of 4 billion USD. In the recent years, Jingjing led several global alternative investment program covering Private Equity, Private Debt and Real Assets mandated by large corporates and family offices. Previously, she was the Head of HSBC Private Capital Advisory in Asia Pacific, and a Managing Director of Eaton Partners, oversaw the firm’s activities in the region, with a focus on Private Markets since 2007. She was one of the pioneer Venture Capital investors in China since the early 2000s, backed by MediBIC, a listed Japanese Biotech company. She started her career with Dell Computer Japan, as the Product Marketing Manager responsible for Dell’s mainstream product program. Fabrizio Bocciardi is Head of Credit Investments at Mubadala, the sovereign investment company of the government of Abu Dhabi. He joined Mubadala in 2009 and he is responsible to invest in credit opportunities, currently managing a portfolio of over $13bn of private debt opportunities across US, Europe and Asia. Fabrizio is an investment committee member of Mubadala Diversified Investment platform and board member of Mubadala’s investment companies in Luxembourg and Singapore.
After 13 years in Abu Dhabi, he moved to London in 2021 as Mubadala opened a new office. Fabrizio structured and implemented the credit investment strategy for Mubadala and is leading a team of credit investment professionals to support the growth of credit portfolio in private debt opportunities.
He has more than twenty-five years of credit experience across a variety of transactions in leveraged loans, distressed debt, real estate and asset-based financing. Before joining Mubadala, he worked at Merrill Lynch in Distressed Debt and Restructuring in London. Fabrizio joined Merrill Lynch from Credit Suisse, where he was a Vice President in the European Financial Sponsors Group. He started his professional career at Citibank working as a credit analyst. Fabrizio graduated cum laude at Universitá Commerciale “Luigi Bocconi” in Milan (Italy) with a major in Corporate Finance.

Mr. Cannon is a Managing Director at HPS Investment Partners. Prior to joining HPS in 2017, Mr. Cannon was a Partner and Director of Research at Wingspan Investment Management, a distressed credit investment firm launched in 2013. Prior to Wingspan, Mr. Cannon was a Managing Director at Glenview Capital, where he led the Credit Investment effort from 2009 to 2012. Prior to joining Glenview, Mr. Cannon was a Principal at Audax Group, a Boston-based Private Equity firm. Mr. Cannon began his career in Mergers and Acquisitions Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Cannon holds an AB in Social Studies from Harvard College.

Dan Cohn-Sfetcu, CFA is a Managing Director on the FS Global Credit team and serves as Portfolio Manager of the Senior Credit Funds and related SMAs. Dan joined Portfolio Advisors in 2018 and has been working in the private markets since 2002. Prior to joining Portfolio Advisors, Mr. Cohn-Sfetcu was a Managing Director at The Carlyle Group working in the private credit division. Before that, he spent 12 years investing in middle market private equity and credit with American Capital, Richardson Capital and Brookstone Partners. He began his career in investment banking at RBC Capital Markets in Toronto and SG Cowen in New York. Mr. Cohn-Sfetcu holds a B.Com from Queen’s University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Ted Denniston serves as Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of NXT Capital and serves as Head of Originations. NXT Capital is an established middle-market direct lender and a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation USA. He joined NXT Capital in 2010 and is based in Chicago.

Mr. Denniston is jointly responsible for setting the strategic direction and overseeing all aspects of NXT Capital’s middle market private debt strategy. Mr. Denniston and his team are responsible for originating and closing new transactions, as well as maintaining relationships with private equity clients in the U.S. Mr. Denniston also is a member of NXT Capital’s Credit and Investment Committees.

Mr. Denniston has over 25 years of experience in credit, originations, and portfolio management. Before joining NXT Capital, he was a Director at Merrill Lynch Capital, where he was responsible for sourcing, closing, and managing transactions with private equity firms in the Northeast U.S. Mr. Denniston also spent nine years in a variety of roles at Transamerica Commercial Finance.

As Partner and Head of Belgium and the Netherlands, Jean Diercxsens has been instrumental in expanding Kartesia’s franchise in the region, bringing expertise in a wealth of sectors including leveraged finance, capital structuring, strategic decision-making, and M&A. Mr. Endo joined Tokio Marine Asset Management (TMAM) in 2017. His responsibilities include investment analysis, due diligence, investment monitoring, performance analysis, client reporting, and client servicing.
Prior to joining TMAM, he worked as a Senior Director at A-FIVE, a venture capital　sponsored by Japanese government focusing on startups in food and agribusiness sectors, before spending seventeen years in Mizuho Bank, where he took various positions from Corporate Advisory to PE Investment, but spent most of his career in LBO Finance both in Tokyo and NY. He received a BA in law from Waseda University and a MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Marianna Fassinotti is a managing director of D. E. Shaw & Co., L.P. and head of the D. E. Shaw group’s Private Credit investment unit operating from the firm’s New York office. Prior to joining the D. E. Shaw group in 2015, Ms. Fassinotti was a managing director at Siguler Guff & Company, LP, cohead of that firm’s distressed investment business, and co-portfolio manager of its distressed opportunities funds. Previous to that, she was an associate director at UBS AG focusing on global distressed debt and special situations investments. Ms. Fassinotti began her career as a research associate in residential mortgage-backed securities at Lehman Brothers. She received her A.B. in government, magna cum laude, from Harvard University, where she was awarded a Harvard College Scholarship for academic distinction, and earned an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where she was an Edward Tuck Scholar. Ms. Fassinotti is a native Italian speaker and fluent in Spanish.

Martino is a Partner at Park Square Capital, LLP, and a member of the firm's Executive Committee and Investment Committee. Martino joined Park Square in 2008 and launched Park Square's US operations in 2014. Prior to that, Martino worked in London within Citigroup’s leveraged finance department and at McKinsey & Company. Martino graduated from Bocconi University in Milan with a Master of Science in quantitative Economics.

Tom Green is Head of Direct Lending team and covering both UK and Europe within HSBC Asset Management based in London and has been working in the financial industry since 1999. Within the team, Tom is responsible for overseeing investment in loans provided to mid-market companies under private equity ownership for a directly invested Senior Loan Fund. Prior to joining HSBC Asset Management in 2019, Tom worked as Regional Head of Leveraged Finance for HSBC, where he was responsible for leading a team focused on origination and execution of leveraged loans provided to mid-market companies by the bank. Tom has 17 years of experience in leveraged finance and during his time with HSBC Bank completed more than 75 transactions for a wide range of private equity houses and deployed over £2bn of senior debt. Tom graduated from Durham University with a BSc Hons in Geography and also from UMIST with a BSc Hons in Financial Services.

Mr. Dai Ikeda is a Deputy General Manager of Alternative Funds Investment Department. He is mainly responsible for credit products including private debt and bank loans. Before joining the company, he was working in Japanese non-bank with several roles including an origination of cross-border project financings, and SME loans in Hong Kong. He has a bachelor of economics from Hokkaido University.

Mr. Iwashina joined Dai-ichi Mutual Life Insurance Company in 1987. He has been involved in a variety of investment management activities (foreign equities, domestic loans, overseas macroeconomic research, foreign bond portfolio manager, external asset management company research, etc.), studied abroad in the U.S., and lived in London before assuming his current position in April 2014. He holds a BA in Agriculture from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a securities analyst in Japan and a CFA in the United States.

Hiroshi Jinno is Chief Investment Officer for International Finance Corporation (IFC) joined in June 2015. Prior to joining IFC, Mr. Jinno had extensive experience in the corporate and investment banking over the three decades. Tomoko is a Managing Director, Japan Representative in Hamilton Lane, where she heads the firm’s Tokyo office. She is primarily responsible for client management and development of the firm’s client relationships in Japan. Prior to joining Hamilton Lane in 2012, Tomoko was with the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, most recently as Chief Manager in the International Credit Division. Previously, she was Senior Manager in the Structured Finance Division, where she was responsible for managing a portfolio of global private equity fund investments. Akihiro Konishi is head of Investment Management Department at Federation of National Public Service Personnel Mutual Aid Associations, in Japanese “Kokka-Komuin-Kyosaikumiai-Rengokai” (KKR)since 2023. KKR manages the employees’ pension plan together with other entities such as GPIF, and manages other pension fund for government employees. It’s AUM is about 11 trillion yen and invest in stocks, bonds, and alternative assets.

Akihiro has more than thirty years of career in financial market and experienced a variety of transactions in private loans, samurai-bonds, syndicated-loans, shipping finance, structured finance etc. He was seconded to KKR form The Development Bank of Japan (DBJ) in 2021 as head of alternative assets, and transferred in 2023. He joined DBJ in 2006 where he experienced the management of subsidiaries as a senior officer and the board member of DBJ Securities, and DBJ Asset Management. He also has a secondment experience to The National Federation of Mutual Aid Associations for Municipal Personnel for two years, where he involved in pension management and launched alternative investments. Before joining DBJ, he worked at Rating and Investment Information, and The Industrial Bank of Japan. He started his professional career at The Long-term credit bank of Japan in 1991.

Akihiro graduated Keio University in Tokyo, majored in Economics. He obtained MS in finance from Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo.

Jeff Levin is a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley and is the Co-Head of Morgan Stanley’s North America Private Credit team, where he serves on the Investment Committee and is the Portfolio Manager and the Head of Direct Lending. Mr. Levin rejoined Morgan Stanley in 2019 and has over 20 years of relevant industry experience. Prior to his current role, Mr. Levin was a Partner and Managing Director of The Carlyle Group where he served as President of The Carlyle Group’s BDCs, and was a member of the investment committee for the Direct Lending platform. Prior to joining Carlyle in 2012, he was a founding member of Morgan Stanley Private Credit, where he was responsible for originating, structuring and executing credit and private equity investments across various industries. Prior to that role, Mr. Levin was a member of the Leveraged & Acquisition Finance Group at Morgan Stanley where he was responsible for originating and executing high yield bond and leveraged loan transactions. He graduated from Emory University in 2002.

Andrew Lockhart is a founder and one of the four Managing Partners who form the Investment Committee at Metrics Credit Partners.
Andrew has over 30 years’ banking, funds management and financial markets experience specialising in leverage and acquisition finance as well as corporate and institutional lending. Andrew’s considerable experience includes being responsible for the origination and portfolio risk management of large, diversified, and complex loan portfolios including corporate restructurings. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business and Masters of Business Administration from the Queensland University of Technology.

Alex Lynn is PEI Group's Hong Kong Bureau Chief. He is responsible for breaking news, commentary and analysis of the Asia-Pacific private markets, with a particular focus on private equity. Alex previously spent two years covering EMEA private equity markets from PEI’s London office before relocating in 2019. Prior to joining PEI, he covered specialist lending for a number of publications in London. He has a master’s degree in Journalism from Kingston University.

Jon oversees the portfolio construction, risk management, analytics and research that support Northleaf’s private equity and private credit funds and product development activities, and is a member of the Private Credit Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Northleaf in 2016, Jon was Managing Director, Global Head of Strategy, Risk and Analytics at Värde, a global $12 billion alternative asset manager with offices in Minneapolis, London and Singapore. Previously, Jon was a Principal with Bain & Company where he focused on alternative investments and asset management. Jon began his career with HSBC and PricewaterhouseCoopers in capital markets and audit roles.

As Director for Asset Management Business, Ms. Nakagawa supervises asset management industry in Japan and is also responsible for promoting the JFSA’s international financial center initiative. Ms. Nakagawa joined the JFSA in 2000 and since then took various roles within the JFSA including rule-making in market regulations and international affairs. She has also worked at the Cabinet Office as a staff economist in 2004-2006.

She received her master’s degree in International Relations from University of California, San Diego, and B.A. in Economics from Keio University. She was a visiting fellow at Stanford University in 2012-2013.

Maiko is a Managing Director on the Investment Research team and has over 23 years of fund research, proprietary trading, and investment banking experience. She is responsible for sourcing managers, conducting due diligence, evaluating and monitoring Asia-based funds. Maiko works with the global Portfolio Advisory teams on existing and potential investments in Asia. Prior to joining Aksia in 2007, Maiko was a Vice President at the Strategic Investment Group of Deutsche Securities in Tokyo, where she focused on principal investments in distressed and special situations. She also worked as an investment banking Associate at the M&A department of Nomura Securities. Maiko started her career as an Analyst in the Global High Yield group of Morgan Stanley in Tokyo. Maiko graduated from Hitotsubashi University with a BA in Sociology and is a CPA (inactive).

He graduated from University of Tokyo with B.E. in applied physics and holds MBA from the University of Chicago.

Rob Petty is Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Asia at Fiera Capital and is a member of the Global Executive team. He is responsible for driving Fiera’s strategy and business in Asia and leads the company’s distribution, consultant relations, and marketing teams, providing executive leadership for all employees across all functions in the region. He continues to sit on board seats and investment committee positions in the Fiera Capital (Asia) business.
Prior to joining Fiera Capital through its acquisition of Clearwater Capital Partners in 2018, Rob was a co-founder and managing partner of Clearwater. Rob and his partner Amit Gupta founded Clearwater in 2001 and, since that time, have invested profitably across cycles, sectors, and geographies, building an investment platform that is one of the largest credit-investing firms across the region. Over his career, Rob has focused on international credit investments, with broad expertise in direct lending, secondary credit, and special situations strategies.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Brown University and is based in London. Mr. Racz is President and Co-Founder of MGG Investment Group. Prior to MGG, Mr. Racz was President, Principal, and Chief Legal Officer of Hutchin Hill, a multi-billion multi-strategy hedge fund. Prior to joining Hutchin Hill, Mr. Racz co-founded Octavian Advisors, LP, a $1.4 billion multi-strategy investment fund, and served as President, Chief Operating Officer, and general counsel (2006-2009). Previously, Mr. Racz was a member of the corporate department of the law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz (1999-2006). There he advised on corporate, securities, and compliance matters for Fortune 500 businesses, investment firms, and institutional and high net worth clients, including ConocoPhillips, General Mills, Walt Disney Company, Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, Fox Paine, Warburg Pincus, a Washington State Investment Board affiliate, and owners of the New Jersey Devils. Mr. Racz was also a journalist at The Wall Street Journal and The Buffalo News (1993-1995) and worked at the Manhattan D.A.’s Office (1991-1993).

Previously, Mr. Racz was clerk on the D.C. Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals. Jihan joined Permira Credit in February 2013. She is responsible for managing Permira Credit’s structured credit funds and is a member of the Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Permira Credit, Jihan spent nine years at Morgan Stanley working on the Structured Credit trading desk.

After graduating from university in 1996, Ms. Sagae joined a leading private equity venture investment firm in Japan.
Since 2007, Ms. Sagae jointed Nomura Group, Nomura Fund Research and Consulting (currently Nomura Fiduciary Research and Consulting) and Nomura Asset Management Co., Ltd., and has consistently been in charge of gatekeeping related to alternative fund investments.

Before joining Mitsui & Co. Alternative Investments in 2013, he was managing FoHFs for 9 years as a Head of Alternative Investments at Sumitomo Mitsui Asset Management. Prior to that, he was involved in the asset allocation, risk management, portfolio management in Tokyo and Toronto, Canada for Sumitomo Life Insurance. He has a B.S. from University of Tokyo and MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Takeuchi has been involved in broad range of private asset investments at Asset Management One (AMO). AMO was formed by merging the 4 investment business units under Mizuho Financial Group and Dai-ichi Life Insurance in 2016. As a fiduciary of its clients, AMO invests in private equity, private debt, infrastructure and real estate. Between 2007 and 2015, Takeuchi was an active owner/founder of Brightrust PE Japan, a research and investment advisory firm focused on private equity. In 1990s Takeuchi co-headed global derivatives trading at a Berkshire Hathaway group company, General Re Financial Products, and oversaw its Asia Pacific operation. He started his professional carrier at a Japanese Government’s aid agency, Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund, in 1983. He is a graduate of Tokyo University and Sydney University.

Yasuyuki Tomita is an Executive Director, the Head of Private Equity Investments at JST.

Prior to joining JST in March 2022, he worked at Development Bank of Japan (DBJ) from 1999.From 2019 to 2022, he supervised overall private equity (PE) businesses including PE and private debt (PD) fund investments among DBJ Group as a Deputy General Manager. From 2014 to 2019, he was at DBJ Asset Management as a Managing Director. During this time, he launched asset management businesses and managed multiple mandates from DBJ and Japanese institutional investors in PE, PD and infrastructure investments. He experiences PE and PD investments approximately for 20 years.

He graduated with MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and received a Bachelor of Economics from Tohoku University.

Rafael joined Muzinich & Co. Inc. in 2014 and is currently Cohead of the Pan-European Private Debt business within the firm. Prior to joining, he was a partner of Hutton Collins Partners LLP, a €1.4 billion primary subordinated debt/preferred equity investment firm across Europe, focused on southern European investments. Previously, Rafael held a number of positions in Middle Market investing, lending and credit, including two years at Mercapital, a middle market private equity firm in Spain, and five years at Merrill Lynch first in credit and later in Leverage Finance originating and executing senior and subordinated debt investments. He started his career at Chemical Bank / Chase Manhattan Bank in Madrid. Rafael graduated from ICADE in Spain and Groupe ESC Reims in France with a B.A. Honors in European Business Administration.

Alexandra joined AXA Prime in July 2023 as Head of Private Debt Co-Investments.

Prior to joining AXA IM Prime, Alexandra was a founding member of the Federated Hermes Direct Lending platform which was established in 2015. The platform focused on senior and unitranche loans to mid-market companies and launched multiple funds dedicated to third party investors. From 2011 to 2015, Alexandra was a senior member of the investment team at GE Capital. The team managed a European mid-cap leveraged loan portfolio totaling more than $4.5bn in AUM. Alexandra was responsible for functions including new execution, restructuring and portfolio management. Previously. Alexandra worked for more than six years in the leveraged finance underwriting business at the Royal Bank of Scotland, where she focused on European large-cap private equity-backed transactions as well as UK mid-market leveraged and acquisition finance deals.

Alexandra holds a Specialised Masters in Corporate Finance from the EM Lyon School of Management and a Master of Science in Management from the ESC Grenoble School of Management.

David Wilmot is a Founding Partner of Apera Asset Management responsible for developing the business in the UK and the Nordic region. David has extensive experience both of direct lending investment and management of private debt teams and portfolios. Prior to Apera, David spent 16 years at Babson Capital Management, where, as Joint Head of European Private Finance, he was responsible for the investment origination, portfolio management, and capital raising activities for several funds and investment mandates. Prior to Babson, David was head of the UK Leverage Finance team at Société Générale. David holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Banking and Finance from Loughborough University, an MBA from Bayes Business School and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Tomoko Yano is the Head of External Management investing on behalf of Aflac Life Insurance Japan, where she originally joined as the General manager in the Investment Planning Division. Tomoko is responsible for the traditional and private asset portfolios focused on private debt, commercial real estate debt, and various equities. She brings 25 years+ of asset management experience, including hedge funds and liquid assets. Her previous experience includes fund research and sourcing at a gatekeeper in Hong Kong and as an equity analyst at hedge funds in Hong Kong and New York. She started her career in project finance at presently called MUFJ Bank. She received a Bachelor of Laws from Keio University and a Master of Business Administration from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Junichi Yonezawa started his career at Norinchukin Bank in 2003, first working in corporate lending. Later, he moved to the Credit Investment Division, where his responsibilities included managing securitized products, LBO loans, corporate bonds, and mid-market loan fund investments. He then moved to the Alternative Investment Division, where he focused on private equity and real estate equity fund investments. Since 2021, he has been responsible for all alternative investments at Norinchukin Asset Management.

Chin Yuen is a Research Manager at PDI. Based in Hong Kong, he is responsible for leading a team of researchers dedicated to maintaining a database of institutional investors, fund managers and funds in the private markets space. He is also leading a number of data projects which includes rankings (II 100), quarterly fundraising reports and investor reports. Chin graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a BSc degree in Science (Major in Statistics) in 2015.
