Joe Abrams is Head of Private Debt, Europe within Mercer Alternatives, based in London. Mr. Abrams joined Mercer in 2010. Mr. Abrams is responsible for Private Debt fund investments - sourcing, evaluating and monitoring private debt opportunities across Europe. Mr. Abrams is a member of Mercer’s Solutions Group, the Private Debt Investment Committee, and the Private Debt Rating Review Committee. Before joining Mercer Mr. Abrams worked as a broker for ADM Investor Services, focusing on equity, interest rate and FX derivatives, and as an equity analyst for an asset management firm based in Jersey. Joe Abrams holds BA Hons in Management Studies from Nottingham University, and a MSc in Actuarial Science from Cass Business School. Trevor is a Senior Director in bfinance’s private markets team. He was formerly Deputy CIO and Investment Director at LPPI, the investment management collaboration between Lancashire County Pension Fund and LPFA. Prior to that he was Deputy CIO at LCPF, with broad responsibility for alternative asset allocations which included Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate and Infrastructure.

Whilst at LCPF, Trevor oversaw significant changes in portfolio strategy which included the creation of a ground-breaking £1.5bn allocation to alternative credit. He has long been a champion of the inclusion of alternative investments to create efficient investment portfolios and has been recognised by numerous industry awards including the Institutional Investor European peer-to-peer award for ‘Best use of Private Markets’. Peter joined Alcentra in May 2018 and is Head of European Direct Lending and Portfolio Manager of Alcentra’s European Direct Lending Funds. He is also a member of Alcentra’s Executive Management Committee and Chairman of the European Direct Lending Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Alcentra, Peter was a partner at KKR, where he built and headed the firm’s sponsor finance business. In his role, he led the firm’s origination and execution activities providing capital through its Private Credit and Capital Markets platforms.

Peter was previously a Managing Director at Barclays Capital and held roles on the U.S. Leveraged Finance team as its Co-Head of Origination & Execution and Co-Head of the Financial Sponsors Group. He built and led the firm’s client coverage activities and managed the team which provided execution support to all sponsor and corporate leveraged finance transactions.

With a career spanning over 30 years in finance, he has also held various positions in mergers & acquisitions and leveraged finance at Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Dillon Read, and James D. Wolfensohn Inc.

Peter received his MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

She has over 20 years of experience in global financial markets with roles ranging from credit research and portfolio management to strategic corporate development for alternative asset management businesses. Prior to joining Cheyne, she was Head of Alternatives at BlueBay Asset Management, with a particular focus on distressed and opportunistic credit strategies. Cécile Mayer-Lévi joined Tikehau Capital in 2013 and heads the Private Debt platform of the asset management firm. She has extensive knowledge in direct lending transactions, and has worked closely with major private equity houses, investment funds and corporates.

Cécile graduated from HEC and started her career at Merrill Lynch in 1988 in the Corporate Finance department and in M&A in Paris and New York. In 1991, she joined Elig one of France’s pioneers in capital investment. In 2001, she joined Mezzanis (Omnes), the mezzanine fund of Credit Lyonnais Private Equity, as Investment Director. From 2005 to 2013, she launched and developed the Private Debt activity at AXA Private Equity (ARDIAN). In addition to mezzanine investments, she broadened the scope to unitranche, forming strong partnerships with corporates and investment funds.

She seats as board observers on over 10 Boards of portfolio companies. Cecile is also chairing the Private Debt Commission of France Invest and seats as board member of the Alternative Credit Council (ACC). In these functions, Cécile is promoting the collaboration of investors on ESG topics (notably via the adoption of a standard ESG clause at France invest level).

John Morabito is Managing Director of EnTrust Global and serves as the Portfolio Manager of the firm’s Blue Sky Aviation Fund. Most recently, Mr. Morabito was Head of the Financial Institutions Group for CIT Group’s Transportation Finance division with a focus on the Commercial Aviation segment and managing a global team of 15 investment professionals. Mr. Morabito spent 16 years with CIT Group, starting as a financial analyst and culminating with the successful sale of the aviation division to HNA Group in April 2017. Mr. Morabito brings nearly 20 years of experience in all aspects of commercial aircraft investments, having had management responsibilities for over $11 billion in assets. In addition, Mr. Morabito built an aviation direct lending business within CIT Bank following the financial crisis and also pioneered a joint venture with Tokyo Century Corporation in 2014, where he was responsible for managing $2 billion focused on aviation investments. Kay Olschewski is Partner at Convero, an independent private markets advisory and placement firm based in Zug, Switzerland. Kay focusses on LP and GP-led secondary transactions in the Private Debt and Equity market. Previously, Kay was Principal and investment committee member at Mercer Private Markets in Zurich, where he built and led the discretionary secondary practice for Private Debt and Private Equity. Before, Kay was portfolio manager and secondary investor at Unigestion in Geneva, Switzerland. He was responsible for Private Equity portfolios of institutional clients including primary fund, secondaries and direct investments. During his time at Unigestion, Kay developed award-winning allocations tools such as the Private Asset Allocator (2014) and the Private Debt Allocator (2015). In his previous career, Kay worked in the R&D and project management department for Airbus Defense in Munich, Germany and Orlando, FL, USA where he led multi-national teams and cross-border projects. Chris is an Investment Director in ReAssure's Asset Management team, with prime responsibility for the development and economic returns of ReAssure's investment portfolios, in public and private credit.

He was previously Head of Market Risk for Credit and Real Estate for the wider Swiss Re Group, including ReAssure's portfolios. He is also a trustee and CIO of the Swiss Re GB Pension Scheme.

Chris has over 25 years' experience in structuring, pricing and investing in fixed income securities and in private debt; he began his career in corporate lending and M&A with Lloyds Bank. Chris ran the credit trading desk at AIB in London, was a Portfolio Manager of Old Mutual's Strategic Bond Fund and also of Legal & General's High Income Trust. He holds a Masters Degree from the University of Cambridge and is a chartered member of the London Institute of Banking & Finance.

Klaus Petersen is a founding partner of Apera Asset Management responsible for developing the Apera platform and the business in the DACH region. Klaus has extensive direct lending experience gained over more than 20 years investing over €1.6 billion across Europe. Prior to forming Apera, Klaus was a partner at BlueBay Asset Management responsible for building the German business and supporting the establishment of BlueBay’s Private Debt platform from 2013 to 2016. Before BlueBay, Klaus spent seven years at Park Square Capital (“Park Square), where he was a partner and member of the investment committee. Prior to joining Park Square, Klaus spent five years at Allianz Capital Partners from 2000, where he established, with colleagues, the mezzanine business of Allianz. In early 2020, his team at Wimmer Financial was awarded Real Estate Investment Bank of The Year ahead of BNP, Credit Suisse and UBS. Recently, Wimmer Family Office won 2021s leading Family Offices Specialist award.

Currently, Peter serves as an Executive Director of Wimmer Family Office and Wimmer Financial in London and separately has an advisory firm which has a JV with one of the world’s largest Private Equity and Credit Opportunities funds. Peter also served as the Vice Chairman of the GRI Global Committee on Hospitality and the Vice Chairman of the GRI Global Committee on Future Finance and Investing. He was recently appointed as the Vice Chairman of the GRI Global Committee on Multifamily and BTR. Peter has over three decades of experience on the sell-side and buy-side as a banker, portfolio manager, salesman and analyst. Peter operates globally sourcing, researching, negotiating and structuring capital markets transactions. He has been a lead banker on many successful capital raises, transactions, and consultative assignments with senior management teams and Boards of Directors. Peter has senior level relationships with some of the largest hedge funds, private equity funds, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds and banks in the US, Canada and Europe.

During the late 1990s, while employed at Salomon Brothers, Peter served as Rating Advisor to the Republic of Korea and as a result of his work was extended an invitation for Term Membership to the Council on Foreign Relations. Lela Prodani is a Senior Investment Consultant for Mercy Health, a Catholic non-profit healthcare system in Saint Louis, Missouri. She is responsible for evaluating and monitoring existing and potential managers for Mercy’s $2.9 billion portfolio. Prior to joining Mercy in 2013, Lela was a performance analyst at Mercer and an equity trader for Smith, Moore & Co. She received her BA in International Business and MBA from Webster University in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Sonia Rocher is a Managing Director in BlackRock Private Credit Strategies. She is a Lead Portfolio Manager in European Private Debt. She joined BlackRock in 2015 as a founding member of the European Private Debt platform. She is also leading ESG engagement and integration for Private Credit globally. Prior to joining BlackRock, Sonia was part of RBS Investment banking division where she spent 10 years in leveraged finance execution and origination.

Prior to joining Northleaf, David was at Bain Capital Credit, a leading global credit specialist, as a Managing Director, Global Head of Sourcing and a member of Bain Capital's Opportunistic Credit and Private Credit team. Previously, David served as the Co-Head of Bain Capital Credit's London office from 2009 to 2013. David began his career with Credit Suisse First Boston in Investment Banking before joining Bain Capital Credit in 2003.

Before joining the PPF in 2012, Yusuf was a senior investment consultant with Aon Hewitt advising UK pension schemes. He served as Secretary to the Marathon Club, a group of trustees and senior executives that promoted and issued guidance on long-term investing for pension schemes.

Formerly a trustee and investment committee member of the Citibank (UK) Pension Scheme, Yusuf is presently a trustee of the Sodexo Pension Scheme.

Yusuf has over 25 years of experience as a banker with Citibank. He was a Senior Credit Officer and Managing Director for relationship banking with the fund management sector in the UK and Europe and a corporate banker in Bahrain and Pakistan.

Yusuf is a Fellow of the Society of Investment Professionals, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). He was Chairman of CFA UK and served on its board for 11 years. Yusuf holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin- Madison and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the same university.

Yusuf is actively engaged in education and training. He teaches the Endowment Model and Pension Fund Investment on the Topics in Asset Management course at London Business School. He has worked as a trainer for the CFA curriculum and has developed and delivered training in portfolio management, fund manager selection, corporate finance and credit analysis. He organises the Value Investing Stammtisch, a group that meets monthly to discuss investment opportunities.

Priscilla works on investments in private credit funds focused on portfolio diversification, across Europe.

In EIF since 2016, Priscilla has more than 6-years' experience in structured credit products, private credit fund investment and private equity fund audit at EIF and Ernst & Young. Accompanying her studies, she gained experience in investment banking and European audit at Rothschild and the European Court of Auditors.

Priscilla obtained a double degree in International Business Administration from Reutlingen University (ESB Business School) in Germany and Comillas Pontificial University in Madrid. She is a CFA charter holder.

EIF

The European Investment Fund (EIF) is part of the European Investment Bank group. Its central mission is to support Europe's micro, small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) by helping them to access finance.

Sebastian Schroff is responsible for the Allianz Group private debt portfolio of over EUR 100bn and leads the Global Private Debt Team at Allianz Global Investors.

Previous roles at Allianz since 2014 include being the responsible Investment Manager for the Alternative investment portfolio of the Germany Life Health portfolios.

Other roles before joining Allianz include founding and exiting a fintech company, heading a research center for exchange trading, adjunct lecturer at the University of Hohenheim and doing a PhD in Behavioral Finance.

Mikkel Sckerl is a partner, portfolio manager and part of the investment committee at Capital Four. Mikkel joined Capital Four Management from Saxo Bank in 2013. While at Saxo Bank Mikkel was initially responsible for the bank’s corporate finance and debt advisory business and subsequently for its loan origination. Prior to Saxo Bank Mikkel spent 8 years with Citibank, primarily based in London, where he as a Director and Senior Credit Officer held responsibility for a portfolio of the bank’s leveraged loan and stressed/distressed private debt in EMEA. Mikkel holds an MS in Finance & Economics from Warwick Business School & University of Warwick and an MS in Economics from University of Copenhagen.

Howard Sharp joins Alcentra as Head of Origination from Park Square Capital where he was a Partner and Head of Mid-Market Private Credit for 4 years. In this role he was responsible for co-ordinating the sponsor coverage and origination activities of the firm.
Prior to this, Howard spent five years at GE Corporate Finance Bank as Head of Origination & Sponsor Coverage and Head of Leveraged Capital Markets. This included running all commercial aspects of GE Capital’s European acquisition finance business including Pan-European leveraged loan origination and sponsor coverage.
In his 30 year career in finance, he has also held the position of Deputy Head of Leveraged Capital Markets at the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Chris was a founding member of Deloitte’s Debt & Capital Advisory business in 2005, focusing on providing independent advice to companies undergoing debt raising exercises. Prior to joining Debt & Capital Advisory Chris worked in Deloitte’s Reorganisation Services practice where he was involved a wide range of challenging transactions. Bayshore Capital

Bayshore Capital is a private, research-driven investment firm with a focus on alternative assets.
