Sarah works as a Senior Vice President in the Manager Research Team where she has a primary focus on private market strategies and specialises in impact investing. Sarah also leads on Inclusion and Diversity within fund research as well as chairing Redington's Inclusion & Diversity Committee. Prior to joining CCN Group, Müjde has had a multifaceted career with institutional infrastructure investors and governments across developed and developing markets. Mujde was a Senior Advisor at the Istanbul PPP Centre of Excellence and an Infrastructure Advisor as part of the World Bank/EU funded 'Sustainable Cities' Program. Arjun Infrastructure

Arjun Infrastructure Partners is an independent infrastructure asset manager, founded in 2015. The firm’s focus is on core mid-market infrastructure covering renewables, utilities, social, digital and transportation sectors, initially solely through separately managed accounts until 2020. Kate Kendall is interim Senior Director for the Major Projects and Markets Directorate within Ofwat, responsible for developing and implementing the regulatory and commercial frameworks for major infrastructure projects in the Water Sector, including development and implementation of the Direct Procurement for Customers framework and works closely alongside RAPID (Regulators Alliance for Progressing Infrastructure Development). Kate is an FCCA with extensive experience in regulation and commercial delivery of large major infrastructure projects across a wide variety of sectors (including economic and social infrastructure) for both the public and private sector. Prior to working on major projects in the water sector she led Ofwat's Financial Resilience team and the Offshore Transmission & Electricity Interconnectors team in Ofgem.

Natasa is a Managing Director in CPP Investments’ Infrastructure Investments Group. Based in London, she is responsible for originating, executing, and managing investments across a broad range of sectors, with a particular focus on circular economy, energy, and transport infrastructure. She serves on the Board of Nedgia and is an Observer on the Board of FCC Medio Ambiente.

Prior to CPP Investments, Natasa was an Engagement Manager in McKinsey’s London office where she was a core member of the Firm’s Pharmaceuticals Practice.

The National Infrastructure Commission

The National Infrastructure Commission is the body responsible for providing independent analysis and advice to the UK government to help the country meet its long term infrastructure needs. Its objectives are to support sustainable economic growth across all regions of the UK, improve competitiveness, improve quality of life, and support climate resilience and the transition to net zero carbon emissions by 2050. The Commission publishes a National Infrastructure Assessment every five years setting out its assessment of long term infrastructure needs, with recommendations to the government; the second Assessment was published on 18 October 2023.

Katya is an experienced investment professional who has been successfully originating, leading and managing equity investments across various infrastructure sectors for over 19 years. She is currently a Portfolio Manager at Aware Super, the third largest superannuation fund in Australia. Based in London, she is helping develop and grow Aware Super’s infrastructure investment platform in the UK and Europe. Prior to joining Aware Super, she served as an Investment Director at one of the UK’s Local Government Pension Schemes, LPPI, overseeing its £3.0 billion portfolio of infrastructure fund, co-investments and direct investments. She was responsible for the origination, execution and management of the infrastructure portfolio and is tasked with leading deal teams through all stages of the investment process.

Prior to joining LPPI, Katya spent over 10 years working for Balfour Beatty Investments, the international infrastructure development and investment company. She has also worked at Bank of America Investment Bank in London and a boutique infrastructure advisory firm in the US.

Gabriele Todesca joined the European Investment Fund in 2006. He currently heads the investment activities in Infrastructure Funds, after having worked in various roles covering both investments and business development. Previous appointments include working at Francisco Partners, a technology-focused private equity firm, in Menlo Park and London, and as an associate at Soros Private Equity Partners, London. Earlier in his career, Mr. Todesca was an investment banker at Citigroup in London. However, where we think there are important policy gaps that affect consumers, we can call this out.

Manuel Dusina is Head of Infrastructure, responsible for the origination, execution and portfolio management of Phoenix Group debt infrastructure investments in the UK, Europe and USA. Prior to joining Phoenix Group, Manuel was at Scottish Widows in the Loan Investments team in London, where he was a Director, responsible for originating and executing infrastructure transactions. Previously, he worked at Lloyds Bank Bank in London as part of the Infrastructure and Energy team. Manuel also held positions at Standard & Poor’s and the European Investment Bank. Manuel received a Master in Finance and Monetary Policy from the University of Brescia.

Hans Forssman has spent more than 30 years in the financial industry, within a wide variety of assets and strategies. Before joining the Skandia PEI team (Private Equity & Infrastructure) to head management of the infrastructure portfolio, he was responsible for procuring alternative investment mandates, creating and managing Skandia’s Thule Real Estate Fund as well as managing multi-assets funds within Skandia Investment Management.

Hans has also been responsible for setting up and managing hedge fund portfolios and private credit mandates for Skandia. Prior to joining Skandia, he was a senior Nordic equity research sales at Credit Agricole Cheuvreux Nordic serving Swedish and European institutional investors. Before this he spent around ten years in different roles in private banking with local Swedish banks.

During his career he has been based in Stockholm, but he has always had an international focus and a global network to gain experience and knowledge regarding international financial markets. Mr. Forssman has a BSc in Economics from the University of Lund, Sweden.

Ted joined GLIL in November 2018 and he is the Chief Operating Officer. He chairs the Executive Committee and is responsible for the day-to-day management of GLIL.

Ted’s career spans 30 years in investment banking and asset management and he has a track record of building and developing a number of successful businesses. The first half of his career was in the foreign exchange and interest rate markets. Ted worked for Orion Royal Bank, Midland Montagu, Citibank and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.

Ted left investment banking in 2005 and embarked on a new career in asset management.

Ted graduated from Oxford University after studying Chemistry with Quantum Mechanics.

GLIL Infrastructure LLP (GLIL)

GLIL Infrastructure LLP (GLIL) is a joint venture between a number of UK local government pension funds targeting investments in core infrastructure assets predominantly in the UK. The founding partners of GLIL are the pension funds of Greater Manchester, Merseyside, West Yorkshire, who are known collectively as the Northern Pool, and Local Pensions Partnership (LPP) which manages the assets of Berkshire, Lancashire, and London Pensions Fund Authority. GLIL was chosen as an Infrastructure partner by Nest Corporation in March 2021. GLIL has committed capital of £3.6 billion.

Jason Hyunjae Kim is Head of the Infrastructure PF Team of Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Company

He is responsible for direct deal & commingled/SMA fund investments across various sectors, including transportation, utility, power/renewable, etc. He has recently invested in MEIF7, MSIG2, KKR GIIⅣ, PG PGDIⅢ and Pantheon PGIFⅣ.

Jason Hyunjae Kim holds an MS in Finance and a BS in Civil Engineering from Seoul National University(SNU). He also holds an MS in Real Estate Development from MIT. He is a CFA charter holder and pursuing a PhD. in urban planning at SNU.

Nitesh joined Swiss Re in May 2017 and is responsible for originating, structuring and managing infrastructure debt opportunities in the UK and Europe. He has over 20 years experience in infrastructure finance across rail, roads, utilities, energy and social infrastructure PPP sectors. Mr. Mistry worked previously at Deutsche Asset Management within the European infrastructure team and at the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. where he focused on originating and executing infrastructure debt transactions across the EMEA region. He was responsible for underwriting debt with a total value of c.€1 billion in the transport, social infrastructure and utility sectors. Prior to that, Mr. Mistry worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland plc where he spent over a decade working across advisory, equity and debt transactions in the European infrastructure market. Mr. Mistry qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse and is an honors graduate (Business Studies) of City University Business School.

Marcus Ayre is a Partner in the Infrastructure Investments team based in London, and is a member of the EDIF I, II & III and GDIF Investment Committees. Prior to joining the team in 2007, Marcus spent 10 years in European investment banking at Merrill Lynch, HSBC and Barings. Marcus holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the University of Birmingham and is a qualified barrister.

Oliver Bradley is Managing Director, Digital Infrastructure Investing at Macquarie Capital, the advisroy, capital markets and principal investment arm of Macquarie Group Limited. The Digital Infrastructure team invests directly in and supports the growth of companies that are facilitating the increasing data consumption of businesses and consumers, including fibre networks and data centres.

Since returning to Macquarie in 2019 (he previously worked at the firm from 2005-15), Oliver has led Macquarie Capital's investment into Voneus, a UK rural Fixed Wireless to Fibre broadband developer and Onivia, a new SPV Macquarie established to acquire Fibre to the Home networks in Spain, creating Spain's first wholesale only FTTH network with a footprint in excess of 3.5m homes.

Ben Canet is a Foreign Investment Manager and the head of Global Private Credit at Phoenix, Israel's leading pension fund and insurance company.
Prior to joining Phoenix in January 2020, Ben spent 19 years in New York, as an investment banker for Credit Agricole (2001- 2007), as co-head of UBS's Special Situations desk (2009-2014) and as portfolio manager for hedge fund Arrowgrass Capital (2015-2019).
Ben holds a BA in economics from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, a masters in finance from ESSEC Paris and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.

Gabriel de Lastours is responsible for developing the EBRD's power and renewables portfolio across the southern and eastern Mediterranean region (SEMED). This includes structuring debt and equity investments as well as leading policy dialogue with governments in the region.
Gabriel has worked in the EBRD’s energy team for 16 years, both on oil and gas and mining financing and power and renewable energy projects. Prior to Aksia’s acquisition of TorreyCove Capital Partners, Nic was a Senior Vice President, joining the firm in 2011. Prior to that, Nic was an Associate at Pacific Corporate Group, where he supported the Risk Management department and assisted in the due diligence of private equity investments.

Nic graduated from the University of San Diego with a BBA and holds an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

Pantheon

Pantheon is an established and experienced private markets investor, with a 24-year track record of investing in the global infrastructure and real assets markets. The firm launched a dedicated global infrastructure practice in 2009 and, as of March 31st, 2021, had ~$16bn of dedicated assets under management and advice. Pantheon is the earliest infrastructure secondaries specialist, with close to $4bn committed to 39 transactions incorporating both traditional LP portfolio sales and GP-led secondaries, and is also an active primary fund and co-investor, with a combined total of 155 infrastructure and real assets transactions completed as of July 2021. The investment team is made up of 25 professionals based in London, San Francisco and Hong Kong, including a senior leadership team of eight Partners.

Kiko Emae, Senior Director & Head of Infrastructure, Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF)

Joined GPIF in April 2021, and leads the infrastructure team.
Prior to joining GPIF, she was at Mitsubishi Corporation, where she was one of the founding members of the infrastructure co-investment program with OMERS, and seconded to work at I Squared Capital based in New York.
She received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Kyoto University and completed an MBA at Waseda Business School.

Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF)

As a Japanese public pension fund, Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) manages the reserve fund for beneficiaries with the mission of securing long-term returns with minimal risk. Christoph Gertenbach is the Deputy Head of Finance at the RAG-Stiftung, based in Essen (Germany). He is focusing on asset liability studies and is responsible for the strategic asset allocation and cash flow management. In addition, he is conducting the Manager Selection for infrastructure and real estate funds. Christoph joined the RAG-Stiftung in 2019 as a Finance and Risk Manager. Prior to joining the RAG-Stiftung he was working for a Global Investment Consultant, an asset manager, and different banks. Christoph holds a master’s degree in finance from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He studied at Warwick Business School, Otto-Friedrich-University in Bamberg.

RAG-Stiftung

The RAG-Stiftung is responsible for financing the perpetual obligations resulting from hard coal mining in Germany by RAG Aktiengesellschaft: pit water management, polder measures and groundwater purification. In order to safeguard the long-term financing of these obligations, the private-law foundation builds up assets through a secure but profitable programme of capital investment that provides the foundation with the necessary income. At the end of 2020, the assets of the RAG Stiftung amounted to more than 20 billion euros. At the end of 2007, the year in which the foundation was established, the assets of the RAG Stiftung primarily consisted of a single investment: the complete ownership of Evonik Industries AG. Today the RAG Stiftung directly and indirectly owns equity and fixed income investments, Private Equity and Infrastructure Investments all over the world. In addition, the RAG-Stiftung promotes projects in the areas of education, science and culture that are related to the hard coal mining industry in Germany.

Kalliope is Deputy Editor at Infrastructure Investor, focusing primarily on the print edition, the latest role she’s assumed since joining the company in 2013. Kalliope initially covered the US market when she was based in New York, but has since relocated to Europe, where she oversees Infrastructure Investor’s team of reporters in London, New York and Sydney. Prior to joining PEI Media, she worked for Reuters in Athens as Energy Correspondent and has published a number of bylined articles that have appeared in the International Herald Tribune (now New York Times), The Wall Street Journal Europe and The Financial Times.

Abhishek Gupta is an Associate Director at the EDHEC Infrastructure Institute and the Head of infraMetrics® Product Development.
He has more than 10 years of experience in asset management and alternative investments including stints at Goldman Sachs and Partners Group.
He holds a Masters of Science in Financial Engineering from Nanyang Business School and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology.

Alastair is Senior Managing Director, and Head of Europe for OMERS Infrastructure. Based in London,
he oversees the organization’s investment activity and team in the region. OMERS Infrastructure
currently has $32 billion AUM, and over 30 investments around the world.

Since joining OMERS in 2014, Alastair has played a critical role in the growth of the European team.
In his most recent role, he was focused on advancing OMERS Infrastructure’s global investment
strategy and leading the third-party capital program. Previously, Alastair had been responsible for
investing across the European energy, utilities and renewables value chain during which he led or
managed OMERS’s investments, including in Ellevio, Thames Water, Associated British Ports, High
Speed 1, and MapleCo.

Prior to joining OMERS, Alastair worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank and Bank of
America Merrill Lynch advising clients on European utilities and infrastructure transactions. He holds
an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford.

Rajesh has over 13 years of investment experience in emerging markets across renewable energy, transport, urban infra & telecom sectors. He has a track record of making investments to the tune of $500m across the infrastructure sector in Asia and Africa.

Rajesh is currently an Investment Manager with British International Investments (BII), which is the UK’s development financial institution. At BII, Rajesh is focused on making investments in renewable energy and transport sectors.

Prior to joining BII, he was with GIP Singapore (then IDFC Capital). As an investment professional with IDFC, he has had the experience of being part of 2 fund life cycles spanning fund raising, capital deployment, asset management and exits.

Rajesh is a CFA charter holder and holds an MBA from University of Delhi.

Diogo started as a Hedge Fund analyst, at BPI, in 2008. Anand joined Antin in 2021 as a founding member of the NextGen team. Prior to joining Antin, Anand was at Investec as the Head of M&A in the power and infrastructure team in London, where he was responsible for developing their multi-product power and infrastructure business.
Prior to this, Anand was a Partner at Greenhill, where he led the establishment of their utilities and infrastructure practice. Before joining Greenhill, Anand spent over a decade at Dresdner Kleinwort where he was instrumental in leading the creation of their specialist infrastructure practice and founding their Asia business.

Throughout his career, Anand has advised on infrastructure transactions spanning sectors and geographies, having advised on privatisations, capital raisings and M&A transactions to the value of over $250 billion. Anand has consistently led innovation in the market, being responsible for a number of creative transactions that overhauled the sector and set the standard for decades to come.

Seung-ki Jeong is Kiwoom Asset management’s alternative investment manager. He is responsible for investing in real estate, infrastructure, private debt, private equity, and other alternative assets. Prior to Kiwoom, he worked at DGB Life insurance as an alternative investment manager. Before DGB Life, he was MG Non-Life Insurance company’s alternative investment manager. Kashif Khan is a Director in the Private Infrastructure and Project Finance group for MetLife Private Capital Investors and is responsible for the origination and execution of new transactions, as well as the ongoing management of existing investments. Mr. Khan joined MetLife in 2015.

Mr. Khan has over 11 years of experience in advisory and investing in infrastructure debt.

Prior to joining MetLife, Mr. Khan was with Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in its Infrastructure Debt Advisory team. During his time at RBS, Mr. Khan also completed rotations in Risk Management Advisory and Energy & Resources Corporate Finance.

Richard joined Equitix 2009 and is head of Asset Management in London with a focus on growing the business to keep pace with capital deployment. Managing a portfolio of £8bn of Asset Under Management Richard has an instinctive ability to connect with detail whilst managing at scale and enjoys empowering executive teams to drive value through asset performance.

Richard is chair of the Fund Oversite Committee to ensure assets under management are well governed and optimised during the investment cycle. More recently, she was at Tokio Marine Asset Management where she built out and expanded their infrastructure business. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Aoyama Gakuin University and is a Certified Real Estate Appraiser.

Danae Kyriakopoulou is Senior Policy Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics where she leads the policy work on the intersections of climate change, international finance and economic development. From 2016 to 2021, she was the Chief Economist and Director of Research of the Official Monetary and Financial Institution Forum (OMFIF). As part of this, she set up the Sustainable Policy Institute and served as its Managing Director and Chair of its Advisory Council, of which she is now a member. She was honoured by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in 2022 and has held roles in various sustainability industry initiatives. Previously, she was Managing Economist at the Centre for Economics and Business Research. She holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford.

Sam Lissner has more than a decade of private equity experience and leads Ridgewood’s ESG and Sustainability program. In addition to being Principal of Ridgewood Infrastructure, Sam is also a Managing Director and serves on the Investment Committee of Ridgewood Energy.

Prior to joining Ridgewood, Mr. Lissner was Chief Analyst and Project Director at Kohl Partners, where he focused on investments in renewable power and energy efficiency infrastructure. During his master’s studies, Mr. Lissner worked at the Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Energy Information Administration. Mr. Lissner received his A.B. from Harvard University. He earned a M.S. focused on Energy and Environmental Policy from New York University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Minesh is a Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure in the Real Assets Investment Group at Cambridge Associates. He is focused on the infrastructure investment activities for the group, in both public and private markets, debt, equity, and across different structures, including underwriting funds, management teams, co-investments and direct investments. Minesh works with a global client base, comprised of public and corporate pensions, large families and endowments, in Europe, the US and the Middle East.
 
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Minesh was a Partner and Director at OM Capital Partners with a focus on direct, co-investment and portfolio management within infrastructure, agri-business and industrials across debt and equity investments. He previously worked as a Senior Vice President of QG Alternative Investments, where he was a senior representative for investment sourcing, execution and portfolio management of a USD 1.1 billion infrastructure private equity fund.
 
Before that he was a Vice President on RBS’ advisory team, with a global mandate across infrastructure, transportation and logistics; undertaking industry changing transactions including the privatisations of Aena Aeropuertos, the Channel Tunnel rail link (High Speed One), and the acquisition of Gatwick Airport. Martin is the co-head of IST’s flagship private infrastructure offering IST3 Infrastruktur Global (“IST3 IG”) and is responsible for all investment activities of the fund. Vivek Sapra is an Energy & Infrastructure project finance specialist with over 25 years’ experience in advising & structuring transactions. He joined the Infrastructure Investments team at Talanx Group – Ampega Asset Management GmbH in April 2015 with the mandate to advise, originate and execute transactions to help build the portfolio. Since an almost standing start, it now boasts over €4bn in infrastructure assets under management (both Debt and Equity) across a broad range of sectors, including in renewables, digital, transportation and social infrastructure.

During this period Vivek also spent a year at the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund (now Ninety One with Investec Asset Management) focusing on renewables in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Vivek is also currently a Board member of a number of Project SPVs.

Prior to this, Vivek spent 16 years at The Royal Bank of Scotland plc. and before that, at Hyder Investments. Vivek is a qualified Chartered Engineer and holds an MBA (Finance) from Bayes Business School.

Olga Sclovscaia is the Regional Head of Europe and Central Asia at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group. Based in Paris, Ms. Sclovscaia leads MIGA’s business development and involvement in projects across both geographic regions.

Ms. Sclovscaia joined MIGA in 2000 and has since held previous senior positions in the organization. In her prior role as Global Head and Sector Manager for Financial Institutions and Capital Markets (2012-2019), she led a team that substantially increased its volume of coverage issued and its impact, including the first MIGA guarantee for a public bond issue. Ms. Sclovscaia was instrumental in developing MIGA’s credit enhancement guarantees for financial obligations of state-owned enterprises.

She brings a wealth of private sector experience to her role. Prior to joining MIGA, she worked in the Structured Finance Department of ABN Amro Bank in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where she helped build an alternative risk distribution team and executed various risk mitigation solutions for the bank with public and private sector providers.

Coupled with her substantial experience in finance and underwriting, Ms. Sclovscaia holds Master’s degrees in international finance (University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands), public administration (University of Missouri, USA) and econometrics (Plekhanov Economic Academy, Moscow, the Russian Federation).

Laurent Segalen is a franco-british clean energy investment banker. He is the founder of Megawatt-X, the London-based Energy transition meta-platform, which he currently heads. Megawatt-X has listed more than 15GW of Wind and Solar transactions over the past 8 years. Between 2019 and 2022, Laurent Segalen was Board Member of the PPA digital platform Zeigo, successfully sold to Schneider Electric in Q1_22.

His career in Clean Energy spans over 25 years, from Director at PWC, Fund Manager at Natixis/Mirova to Managing Director Clean Commodities at Lehman Brothers then Nomura. He was awarded Environmental Deal of the Year 2006 by Environmental Finance. While trading carbon, he was one of the co-authors of "scope 1, scope 2, scope 3" emissions concept and helped create the ETS. He is now special adviser to the Board of IC-VCM.

Laurens-Jan is a Senior Portfolio Manager in APG’s European infrastructure team and is responsible for sourcing, executing and performing asset management of infrastructure equity investments, with a focus on digital infrastructure. He has been recently leading the acquisition and setup of Glaspoort (APG-KPN FTTH JV) and Swiatłowód Inwestycje (APG-Orange Poland FTTH JV). Furthermore, he holds non-executive board positions in amongst others Glaspoort, Swiatłowód Inwestycje, Open Tower Company (the leading telecom tower company in the Netherlands), TDF (the leading telecom tower and broadcasting infrastructure operator in France). Before joining APG, Laurens-Jan worked for NWB Bank as VP leading and establishing their infrastructure finance franchise. Prior to this, Laurens-Jan worked for NIBC Bank as an Associate in the Infrastructure & Renewables team.

APG Asset Management is the world’s largest independent pension fund manager with pension assets of c.€520bn (as of Dec-2022), representing over 30,000 employers and 4.5m participants in the Netherlands, with offices in Amsterdam, Heerlen, New York and Hong Kong. Lawrence Slade became Chief Executive Officer of the Global Infrastructure Investors Association (GIIA) in January 2020. GIIA represents investors with over US$1tn AUM. Prior to his role with GIIA Lawrence worked with Energy UK since 2011, becoming their Chief Executive in January 2015, additionally he served on the boards of Eurogas and Eurelectric in Brussels. He has been involved in the energy industry since the late 1990’s working in countries all over the world. Lawrence is also a Board member of Connected Kerb, a Board Trustee of the Money Advice Trust and the St Clare Hospice. He is also a Fellow of the Energy Institute.

Phoebe Smith is a Senior Director in the infrastructure equity team of PATRIZIA, based in London. She is involved in the origination and execution of infrastructure transactions as well as the asset management of the existing portfolio. Phoebe has experience across a wide range of infrastructure sectors and serves on the Boards of a number of PATRIZIA’s investee companies. Phoebe’s key areas of focus are PATRIZIA’s European Infrastructure Fund II, targeting mid-market infrastructure and the Smart City Infrastructure Fund (“SCIF”), a dedicated digital infrastructure fund which invests in city-wide networks to support Smart City applications. Phoebe sits on the Board of Connexin, a broadband and IoT business in Hull, the Board of SiFi Networks America, a fibre developer, and is Chair of the Boards of 5 citywide FTTP projects in the US. Prior to joining PATRIZIA in 2011 Phoebe worked in the infrastructure team of Hastings Funds Management in Australia, managing infrastructure funds and assets.

Matias was responsible of Infrastructure Debt at RiverRock AM, held several senior management roles at Santander bank as European Head of Infrastructure Finance and Leveraged Finance and Head of Credit and Infrastructure for Poland and Germany. Matias has extensive expertise in energy and infrastructure, having been responsible for originating and executing transactions across Europe, the Nordics, CEE and LatAm. Matias has total investment experience of c. USD5bn across all geographies and sectors.

Matias holds a master’s in economics and Utilities from the University of Barcelona, and an MBA from IAE/IESE Business School with a specialization in Corporate Finance through the Schulich Business School in York University (Canada).

Stefan leads the real asset program at Perpetual Investors in Munich. In this role, he is responsible for managing the real asset portfolio and focuses on manger selection across the broad spectrum of the infrastructure and real estate universe. Prior to joining Perpetual in 2017, Stefan worked several years as a Portfolio Manager at MEAG Munich Ergo Asset Management, where he managed Munich Re’s emerging market corporate bond portfolio. Stefan holds a MSc in Mathematical Finance from TU Munich and is a CFA charter holder.

Prior to this, the team also completed the fundraising for the first international fund fund, NextPower III ESG, at $896 million (target of $750 million).

Before NextEnergy, Shane was the Head of Institutional Fundraising at Downing LLP where he created their first institutional fund, the GBP 125 million reserve power fund. Before that he structured and raised a £1 billion solar platform with Blackrock. Prior to this Shane was one of the initial Directors at Rubicon Infrastructure Advisors where he led several capital raises including a USD 750 million raise for a global infrastructure and solar platform.

Yuriko Watanabe leads Japan Post Bank’s infrastructure investment program and its infrastructure debt program. Prior to joining Japan Post Bank in July 2019, she spent 11 years at the Bank of Japan, where she led various studies on investment activities of institutional investors, and structured one of the Bank’s reserve management programs, among other various roles she held. She holds a Master in Public Administration in International Development of Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Tokyo.

Ekow is a serial tech entrepreneur (> 20 years). He has successfully built fast growing tech organizations in the US, Asia and Europe. Ekow was part of the management executive board to IPO mobile-data and payment company Buongiorno, which was sold to NTT Docomoco. He is an expert in digital business engineering, product development and sales. As Founder, Ekow is the architect of RealPort’s operational and business model.

RealPort

Realport is a digital brokerage platform that facilitates passive capital of small institutional investors in sustainable infrastructure assets to address the mezzanine and secondary capital needs of investment managers. Hence, small institutions are empowered to access positions in low-risk, long-dated infrastructure cash flows through a standardised co-investment structure at low transaction costs, fees and in small ticket sizes.
