Kemi-Christina Abdul

Kemi Christina Abdul brings over a decade of direct investment and portfolio management experience across various infrastructure sectors internationally. She is Managing Director and founder of BlueHaven LLC, a boutique firm that collaborates with institutional investors on infrastructure and infrastructure related investments.

Prior to that, Kemi was part of the founding team of Mubadala Infrastructure Partners and was actively involved in sourcing, execution and portfolio management of investments and served on various boards. As an investment director, she led the fund’s entry into the Southeast Asia market.

Kemi started her infrastructure career as an analyst in the global energy investment banking group of Credit Suisse in New York where she worked on a number of complex transactions.

Kemi graduated Summa Cum Laude from George Washington University with a BBA in Accounting and Information Technology. She was awarded the 2005 Wall Street Journal Leadership Award. She is part of the inaugural board of InfraCorp and also seats on the boards of Mojec International, Georgetown Real Estate Company and the Almighty Compassion Home NGO.

Egan Archer

Managing Director, Head of Power, Asset Management, Equitix

Egan is a Managing Director in Equitix’s Asset Management team and leads our Energy and Environment sector. Since joining Equitix in January 2012, he has played a key part in growing Equitix’s energy and environment portfolio from zero in 2012 to an EV of over £6bn today, spread across 40 projects. Egan manages a team of 10 sector specialists with backgrounds in engineering, financial and technical advisory, project development and contracts management.

Prior to joining Equitix, he was a Principal in the waste and renewables sectors; providing advisory services to governments and investors worldwide and filling the role of CTO in a start-up waste and renewables fund management business for 2.5 years.

His role spans across the entire Equitix value chain from investment strategy, origination, business development, through investment structuring, benchmarking, contracts negotiation and asset management. He is Equitix’s most experienced director in the energy and environmental sector. Egan has had a role in almost all of Equitix’s investment in the sector and sit on the boards of the majority of the energy from waste project companies.

Prior to that, Jean-Pascal was Managing director of in the Energy and Infrastructure Finance team of BNP Paribas for more than 10 years in Paris, Milan and Madrid. During his tenure, he held various sectorial and regional responsibilities and led transactions in sectors such as transportation, regulated utilities, renewable and conventional power as well as telecommunications. Before joining BNP Paribas, Jean-Pascal spent 3 years at Veolia Environment covering project and acquisition finance in water treatment, distribution and desalination transactions in Europe, Middle East and Asia and 8 years at Bouygues Construction in Hong Kong, Paris and Johannesburg on a wide range of transportation and social assets.

Jemima Atkins

Jemima Atkins is an investment professional at Pioneer Point Partners, based in London, where she makes investments in European infrastructure assets in the energy transition and environment sectors. Pioneer only invests in sustainable infrastructure and targets investments that contribute to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions and circular economy.

Jemima joined Pioneer in 2022, and has particular focus on the energy efficiency, renewables and carbon removal sub-sectors. She has previously held investment roles at Allianz Capital Partners in the infrastructure equity team and Allianz Global Investors in the infrastructure debt investment team. At Allianz, Jemima worked across private markets asset classes to promote sustainability improvements and the transition of infrastructure assets to net-zero. Anna is the Chief Investment Officer of Bite, based in Bite’s London office. She joined Bite in 2021 from KIC, the $190bn sovereign wealth fund of South Korea, where she was a Senior Investment Manager allocating to private equity and credit across funds and co-investments. Prior to KIC, she worked in the Private Markets team of the £80bn Universities Superannuation Scheme. At Bite, Anna leads the asset allocation, sourcing, deal selection and due diligence activities of Bite Asset Management. A British and Hungarian national, Anna holds an MA in Finance from IE Business School and a BA in International Business Economics from Corvinus University of Budapest. She is a CFA charter holder.

Michela Bariletti

Chief Credit Officer, Phoenix Group

Michela joined Phoenix Asset Management as Chief Credit Officer in May 2021. In this role, Michela is leading the Credit Research and Ratings team for all asset strategies pursued by Phoenix Group, which have capabilities to assign internal ratings to private credit and illiquid assets in an approach consistent with industry peers and adhere to regulatory requirements. Michela joined Phoenix from Pension Insurance Corporation where she served as Head of Ratings and Credit Research. Prior to that, Michela spent 14 years at S&P Global Ratings, London, most recently as Senior Director, Infrastructure Ratings – EMEA Analytical Head, managing a team of 20 analysts and a portfolio of over 150 issuers in the infrastructure sector. Daniel Benjamin

Daniel Benjamin is the president of the American Academy in Berlin.

Prior to his Academy appointment in 2020, Benjamin was the director of the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding at Dartmouth College. From 2009-2012, he was Ambassador-at-Large and Coordinator for Counterterrorism at the US Department of State.

Benjamin was director of the Center on the United States and Europe at the Brookings Institution. He spent more than five years on the White House staff in the 1990s as foreign policy speechwriter for President Bill Clinton and later director for transnational threats.

Benjamin has written extensively on US foreign policy, terrorism, and international affairs. He is co-author of the award-winning books The Age of Sacred Terror (2002) and The Next Attack (2005). His writings have appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post, The Atlantic Monthly, Foreign Affairs and many other publications.

Benjamin began his career as a journalist and was Germany bureau chief for the Wall Street Journal.

The American Academy in Berlin is an institution of advanced scholarship and practice in the social sciences, humanities, arts, and public policy. Its flagship program is the Berlin Prize Fellowship, a semester-long residency awarded each year to some 24 scholars, artists, writers, public policy experts, composers, and journalists from the United States. Joost Bergsma

Joost Bergsma founded Glennmont Partners in 2008. As CEO of Glennmont Partners, he has grown the company into one of Europe's largest clean energy investment platforms, raising over €4.7 billion from blue chip investors through infrastructure equity and debt products.

Under his leadership, Glennmont has invested in major renewable energy projects across Europe, including offshore wind, solar, onshore wind and bioenergy. Deepa Bharadwaj

Deepa is responsible for the infrastructure business in Europe and for oversight of IFM Investors’ European infrastructure portfolio. She has been a board member of Mersin International Port, Veolia Energia Polska and Brisbane Airport. Deepa has extensive global expertise in the infrastructure and energy sectors, having worked in the US, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Her 13 years at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore included senior leadership roles, most recently as Global Head for Power, Transportation and Infrastructure. Dr. Mathias Bimberg

Dominic spent 12 years with BAA plc where he headed their international acquisitions group and oversaw the acquisition and management of a number of overseas investments. Dominic has then spent eighteen years in the fund management industry, initially with Babcock and Brown, as part of the European Infrastructure team and then as a Partner with Arcus Infrastructure Partners, which completed an MBO from Babcock and Brown in 2009.

Dominic left Arcus to establish an infrastructure team at SL Capital, part of Standard Life Investments and for the last 10 years he has led that business successfully raising and deploying three funds to date. Andrew Morris is Head of Infrastructure Equity, a business which forms part of Real Estate ＆ Private Markets within UBS Asset Management.

Based in London, Andrew leads a team investing several funds and mandates in European and North American digital, energy and transport infrastructure businesses.

He joined UBS in June 2022 from Canada Pension Plan Investments where he was a Managing Director in the Infrastructure, Real Assets business responsible for originating, executing and managing private and public markets investments in infrastructure, and managing an equity portfolio of approximately USD 38 billion.

Tom Murray is Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer for Power Sustainable Infrastructure Credit.

Tom has more than 30 years of experience across investment management, banking, lending, debt capital markets and advisory services. Prior to joining Power Sustainable, Tom built out the global infrastructure credit investment businesses at I Squared Capital as Head of Global Credit Group and at Apollo Global Management as Managing Director. With 25 years of experience in the financial and infrastructure sector, Chantale Pelletier held various leadership and executive positions where she has been actively involved in developing, growing, and managing infrastructure investment portfolios globally. Gijs Voskuyl

Partner, DIF Capital Partners

Gijs is Partner and member of the Executive Committee at DIF Capital Partners. In addition, he is overseeing the activities in DIF’s traditional infrastructure fund series and is a member of the relevant investment committees. Gijs joined the company in 2008 as a member in the investment team, mostly focusing on concession type investment opportunities in Western Europe. In 2012 he moved to Canada to establish the Toronto office and open up the North American market investing in utility, concession and (sustainable) energy investment opportunities. Since 2018 he is leading DIF’s traditional infrastructure fund series. Previously to DIF, Gijs worked at ING, where he focused on lending to and advising large (transportation) infrastructure clients. Gijs holds a Master’s degree in Economics of Infrastructure from the Technical University of Delft.

Olivia Wassenaar

Olivia Wassenaar is a Partner and Head of the Sustainability and Infrastructure Group at Apollo. In this role Olivia leads the Firm’s multi-asset investment strategy focused on financing and investing in the energy transition and decarbonization of industry. Investments led by Olivia at Apollo have focused on the energy transition and she serves on the boards of several Apollo funds’ portfolio companies including FlexGen, Graanul, Takkion and Total Operations and Production Services (TOPS). Olivia also formerly co-chaired Apollo’s DE&I Steering Group. Prior to joining Apollo, Olivia was a Managing Director at Riverstone Holdings, where she was a member of the investment team for 10 years. Kirsten Whitehead

Partner, Portfolio Management, QIC

Kirsten joined QIC in early 2010 and has overall responsibility for portfolio management across QIC Infrastructure’s pooled products, separately managed accounts and large co-investors. Her role is focused on infrastructure investment management with a particular focus on investment origination, asset management, governance and structuring, together with portfolio construction and analytics, research and thought leadership, and managing overall client relationships. Kirsten is a Portfolio Manager for one of QIC’s flagship funds and separately managed account mandates and is also a member of the QIC Infrastructure Investment Management Committee and Origination Leadership Team.

Since joining QIC, Kirsten has had a broad exposure to a variety of sub-sectors from both an investment origination and asset management perspective. This has included being an integral part of the teams that successfully acquired Port of Melbourne, Epic Energy South Australia, Heathrow Toggle and implementing the strategy for the US public private partnership investments. She has also held asset management roles in the transport and utilities sectors, in particular with respect to Brisbane Airport, Port of Brisbane, Hobart Airport and Thames Water. Kirsten has played a key role in the build out of the QIC Global Infrastructure Fund, including additional capital raises and co-investor support to fund the growth of existing platform businesses.

Prior to working with QIC, Kirsten was employed by the Virgin Group in London for two years where she evaluated and managed a portfolio of investments in various sectors, including renewable energy, telecommunications, healthcare and aviation. Previously, Kirsten was employed as a corporate solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons where she had experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint venture arrangements, corporate restructurings and acting for investors in infrastructure and resource projects.

Kirsten holds a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Law (Hons) from the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law, New South Wales.

Deborah Zurkow

Deborah Zurkow is Global Head of Investments at Allianz Global Investors, and a member of the Executive Committee. In January 2020, Deborah took on responsibility for leading AllianzGI’s investment platform, which comprises Private Markets, Equities, Fixed Income and Multi-Asset strategies.
