Driving sustainable change: the future of ESG

The ESG & Sustainability Forum, part of the Infrastructure Investor Global Summit, brought together leading specialists in sustainability and discussed the latest ESG trends and challenges in infrastructure.

Attendees discovered how to integrate ESG into their portfolio with key industry players and networked with a global delegation focussed on driving forward sustainable growth.

Key themes included:

  • How to make ESG data useful and the changing regulatory landscape
  • How ESG is a key pillar in value creation
  • How institutional investors identify risk and opportunities associated with ESG
  • Defining and financing nature-based solutions

Six specialist forums. One Global Summit.

The ESG & Sustainability Forum is part of the industry’s leading event, the Infrastructure Investor Global Summit, taking place across four days in Berlin. From Infrastructure Debt to the Energy Transition, the Summit delves deep into each of the sub-asset classes to provide actionable insights to individuals with varying areas of interest.

Investor and Manager Scenario Session: Deal or No Deal

Alex Koriath, Mike Maudsley, Hamish Lea-Wilson

The session will highlight the increased role of ESG in due diligence. A fund manager and an institutional investor will discuss a hypothetical investment opportunity with ESG issues. They will ask the questions they would ask in a real investment situation with specific infrastructure assets and reflect on the ESG risk of the investment. The audience will then be given the opportunity to quiz the presenters on their decisions and decide whether they would themselves invest.
