John Anderson
Global Head, Corporate Finance & Infrastructure, Manulife
John is a member of Manulife’s Global Leadership Team and sits on Manulife’s investment committee for their $300 billion global life insurance portfolio. John is directly responsible for the firm’s investment portfolios in public bonds, private placement debt, and alternative equities. Manulife’s life insurance companies in the US (John Hancock), Canada and Asia invest through an integrated global investment organization.
John happens to be a 30-year infrastructure investor, and is responsible for Manulife’s $20 billion infrastructure equity program, and their $40 billon infrastructure debt portfolio. The Manulife life insurance companies are ranked as one of the largest infrastructure investors in the world.
Prior to joining Manulife through their Infrastructure investment team in 2001, John worked for ten years advising on and arranging infrastructure debt financings in both developed and developing economies from the New York and London offices of JP Morgan Chase. Before entering the private sector, John served as an Intelligence Officer with the Central Intelligence Agency, and he has been an executive sponsor of John Hancock’s Veterans and Military Families club.
Externally, he is also on the board of the YW Boston, whose mission is to empower women and eliminate racism.
John holds an MBA from Georgetown University and received his BA in Economics from The University of Chicago.
John speaks French, Serbo-Croatian, German, Spanish, and Russian at an intermediate level, and would not be mistaken for a native speaker in any of these languages.

Michele joined Infracapital from 3i plc where he was a Director in the infrastructure team. He was responsible for origination, execution and asset management of infrastructure investments across sectors including energy transmission and generation, accommodation and transport throughout Europe. Michele transferred to 3i plc following their acquisition of Barclays Infrastructure Funds Management, where he was an Investment Director. Ashli Aslin
Senior Analyst Real Assets and Infrastructure, Albourne
Ashli Aslin joined Albourne in 2021 as a Senior Analyst on the Real Assets team. She has 19 years of experience working in institutional investments, both as an allocator and an investment consultant. Ashli is responsible for investment diligence on across real assets, focusing on infrastructure.
Prior to Albourne, Ashli was an Investment Officer with the South Carolina Retirement System working across different portfolio initiatives in credit, private equity, emerging markets, and traditional fixed income. Most recently was responsible for the build-out of the pension’s infrastructure program, where she led the sourcing, portfolio construction, and underwriting process for real assets mandates totaling over $2.0bn, including fund and co-investment opportunities. Ashli also worked as a Senior Analyst at NEPC, LLC, where she helped pension, endowment, and corporate clients with asset allocation and implementation decisions. Ashli holds a BA in economics from Vanderbilt University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina.
Paul Barr

Paul is a Partner in Pantheon’s Global Infrastructure and Real Assets Investment Team. He previously worked at GIC, from 2012, where he was Senior Vice President, Infrastructure with a global remit focussing on primary, secondary and co-investment opportunities. Paul also has expertise in infrastructure direct investing and infrastructure debt transactions. Prior to GIC, Paul worked at Challenger Infrastructure and Macquarie Capital. Paul studied Business at the University of Edinburgh. He is also a CFA Charterholder, a Chartered Accountant, and a Member of the Securities Institute.

Izzet Bensusan is the founder and CEO of Captona, where he leverages years of expertise in the energy transition sector. Charles is an ordained minister of the United Church Christ, having served as a pastor and conference minister in Northern California, Hawai`i and New Hampshire prior to joining UCF in 2019. Duane Callender
Director, Credit Programs Office, Build America Bureau
Duane Callender manages the Credit Programs Office within the Build America Bureau which houses the Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA and the Railroad Rehabilitation and Improvement Financing (RRIF) credit programs. He directs a staff responsible for all aspects of underwriting, portfolio monitoring and risk management. Duane oversees a portfolio that encompasses nearly $50 billion in Federal credit assistance to intermodal, highway, transit, airports, ports, transit-oriented development (TOD) and rail projects totaling more than $135 billion of infrastructure investment in the U.S.
He previously held positions in DOT’s Office of Budget and Programs where he was responsible for oversight of the Maritime Administration budget, in DOT’s Inspector General’s Office and the Budget Office of the District of Columbia’s Metropolitan Police Department.
A New York native, Mr. Callender holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Connecticut College (1994) and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from American University (1998).

Zak Bentley is Americas editor at Infrastructure Investor, based in New York. Zak joined Infrastructure Investor in London in 2016 from Centaur where he was a reporter at their Clean Energy Pipeline title. He now leads Infrastructure Investor’s coverage across the Americas region and has a detailed knowledge and experience of the financial and regulatory aspects of the global infrastructure market. Mr. Bernardo was previously Head of Telecom & Digital Infrastructure for the Americas and Co-Head of infrastructure for LATAM at OMERS Infrastructure (previously known as Borealis Infrastructure), where he led numerous transactions, investments and the asset management of companies, with a particular focus in the communications infrastructure, satellite, cable, wireless, enterprise communications and Internet of Things sectors.
Before joining OMERS Infrastructure, Mr. Bernardo spent more than a decade at Morgan Stanley between EMEA and Latin America where his last position was that of Executive Director within its Investment Banking Division.

Donnett Campbell

Donnett is a Managing Director within the SS&C GlobeOp Private Markets, Real Assets Division where oversees fund administration teams and has over 20 years of relevant real estate accounting and managerial experience. Prior to joining SS&C, she worked in the real estate fund administration business at State Street where she was a Real Estate Product Manager and managed fund administration operations for real estate clients. While at State Street, Donnett completed various overseas assignments in Jersey, Channel Islands, Luxembourg and Singapore to manage real estate fund administration teams. Prior to State Street she worked with PwC in New York as a manager in their Financial Services Real Estate division where she worked on audits of various real estate companies. She is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State and earned a Bachelor in Business Administration from Baruch College, City University of New York.

Prior to joining Ares in 2021, Mr. Chang was a Director in Landmark's Private Equity Group, where he focused on transaction origination, underwriting, and negotiation of private equity investments, with a focus on real assets. Previously, Mr. Chang was an Investment Banking Vice President within the Power and Renewables sector at Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC. In addition, Mr. Chang was a Regional Manager of Engineering and Planning Energy Services at Consolidated Edison Company of New York. Derek Chu
Head of American Real Assets, AustralianSuper
Derek is the Head of American Real Assets team within Mid Risk, Investments, having moved back to New York in December 2021. Derek is responsible for AustralianSuper’s real assets investment program in the Americas, including origination, execution and asset management of investments, primarily focused on infrastructure until the creation of the Real Assets group in late 2023. As part of this role, he currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Generate Capital, a distributed sustainable infrastructure business.
Derek joined AustralianSuper in 2014 as part of the Infrastructure team based in Melbourne.

Don Dimitrievich is a Senior Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for Energy Infrastructure Credit at Nuveen. He joined Nuveen in November 2022 to establish a multi-billion credit investment business to ensure secure energy supply and provide sustainable energy solutions to decarbonize energy consumption.
Prior to joining Nuveen, Don was Head of Energy & Power and a Partner at HPS Investment Partners from 2012 where he founded the energy and power investment vertical. Previously, Don was a Managing Director of Citi Credit Opportunities, a credit-focused principal investment group. At Citi Credit Opportunities, Don oversaw the power, renewables and energy portfolio and invested in mezzanine, special situation and equity co-investments, and secondary market opportunities. Prior to joining Citi, Don worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP from 1998 to 2004 focusing on energy and power M&A and corporate finance.

Tim is responsible for the origination of infrastructure opportunities, predominantly in the renewable energy sector.
Before he joined IFM Investors, Tim was a Senior Vice President at Macquarie Capital in New York, where he executed infrastructure transactions in a range of sectors, including renewables, transportation, water, and social infrastructure. Tim was seconded into Macquarie’s utility scale solar development platform – Savion – as Chief Operating Officer, and also served as Commercial Director for the Macquarie/Transurban joint venture developing the Maryland Express Lanes toll road project.
Jeremy Ebie
Co-Founder and Managing Partner, The Phoenix Infrastructure Group
Mr. Ebie is the CEO and founder of the Phoenix Infrastructure Group, an infrastructure investor based in Washington, DC. He has over fifteen years in infrastructure, municipal finance, and public-private partnerships investment banking and advisory experience. Phoenix, founded in 2015, is one of the few minority-owned infrastructure investor/developers in the United States, and is an investor in the Washington, DC Smart Streetlights System, Charlotte Gateway Train Station, among other regional-defining infrastructure projects.
Prior to founding Phoenix, Mr. Ebie has served as an investment banker and financial advisor on both innovative public-private partnerships (P3s) for transportation, energy social and infrastructure projects across the United States, in projects totaling over $8 billion. Mr. Ebie has also advised commercial, federal, state, and local agencies on developing programs designed towards the analysis and procurement of P3s.
Before founding the Phoenix Infrastructure Group, Mr. Ebie was a founding member of the infrastructure team of Booz Allen Hamilton, and an investment banker at William Blair and Company. Phil Eichhorn

Phil Eichhorn is a Director of Investments at Versus Capital where he is responsible for portfolio management, credit selection, and manager due diligence for the Versus Capital Infrastructure Income Fund. He joined Versus in May of 2021. Previously, Mr. Eichhorn was a Senior Portfolio Analyst at OppenheimerFunds/Invesco for the Cash Strategies team which managed a suite of $10 billion in mutual funds and separate accounts. In this role he led trading, was the asset-backed securities analyst, and managed $1 billion in separately managed accounts. Prior to that he was a Senior Analyst at Innovest Portfolio Solutions. Mr. Eichhorn graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University and is a CFA® charterholder.

Jennifer Essigs
Head of Sustainability, AE Industrial Partners
Jennifer Essigs is Head of Sustainability at AE Industrial Partners, based in Boca Raton, Florida and is primarily focused on developing AE Industrial’s sustainability strategy and assessing and monitoring portfolio investments for environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities. Under her management, the Firm has developed and instituted a value creation scorecard for all control investments focused on the material issues of GHG emissions intensity, energy efficiency, data security, employee days lost due to injury and category one customer escapes.
Ms. Essigs has spearheaded AE Industrial’s participation in the UN Principles of Responsible Investing (UNPRI), ESG Data Convergence Initiative (EDCI), the Initiative Climat International (iCI) and ILPA Diversity in Action. She has developed several projects focused on inclusion during her time at the Firm including an official mentoring program, employee engagement surveys and an affinity group. Thierry was the president and CEO of Hydro-Québec, one of North America’s largest power companies, with world class infrastructure EPCM operations, until May 2015. He joined Hydro-Québec in 1996 and served in various capacities until his appointment as president and chief executive officer in 2005.
He was previously active in the natural gas infrastructure sector, the petrochemical and the downstream oil industries.

In September 2022, President Biden appointed Sadek to the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, which advises the White House on reducing the physical and cyber risks and improving the security and resilience of critical infrastructure in the U.S.
He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University, an M.Sc. in economics from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a B.A. in economics from the American University in Cairo. He is a published author on economic research and one of his publications was selected by MIT as one of their 50 most influential papers in the last 50 years. His recent book Build: Investing in America’s Infrastructure is published by Georgetown University Press.

Niraj Agarwal is the Head of Real Assets at the c. $100 billion New Jersey Division of Investment and also serves on the pension fund’s Asset Allocation committee. Laurie Mahon served as Vice Chair of CIBC’s Global Investment Banking business until May of this year, a role she assumed after having led the Global Infrastructure and Power team since August 2013. She has spent her entire professional life in the infrastructure space, having had a multifaceted career as a banker, public sector manager, infrastructure executive, consultant, journalist and developer focusing on the development and financing of large infrastructure projects around the globe.
Before joining CIBC Capital Markets, Ms. Mahon was a senior expert in McKinsey’s infrastructure practice. Previously, she spent 12 years as an independent advisor, helping numerous public and private entities develop transportation projects in the U.S., Latin America, China and the U.K. From 1984 until 1999, she worked on Wall Street as an investment banker, focusing on the infrastructure markets in both the U.S. and emerging markets. She started her banking career as a municipal banker.
Prior to her banking career, Ms. Mahon spent five years at New Jersey Transit, where she held various positions in planning and policy until becoming deputy Chief Financial Officer.
Ms. Mahon began her professional career as a journalist with The Boston Globe and The Bergen Record.
She is a member of the North American Advisory Board of Transurban Inc., a global developer and operator of toll facilities, serves as a trustee for Public Media New Jersey Inc., which operates NJ PBS, and served as a director for Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives Inc., a NASDAQ company which constructs wind, solar and rail projects, until its sale last year.

Peter Taylor
Managing Director, Carlyle Global Infrastructure
Peter Taylor is a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Carlyle Global Infrastructure Opportunity Fund. Mr. Taylor joined Carlyle in 2016 and, he most recently led the JFK Airport New Terminal One redevelopment. He is significantly involved in Carlyle’s transport, energy and digital investments and financing for all of Carlyle’s infrastructure and renewable investments. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Taylor was the Global Head of Global Investments and Asset Management at Hastings Infrastructure where he led or oversaw transactions including the acquisition of Transgrid, Sydney Desalination Plant, Port of Newcastle, the acquisition of interests in Queensland Airports Ltd and the acquisition and merger of Mid Kent and South East Water. Previously at Hastings, Mr. Taylor was based in the U.S. from 2006 to 2012 and established Hastings’ North American business.

As Managing Partner of Mark Weisdorf Associates, Mark is Investment Committee chair of Zurich-based Swiss pension plan cooperative, IST3 Infrastruktur Global; Senior Advisor to Singapore-headquartered Seraya Partners; and Investment Committee member and chair of the Board of Palisade Infrastructure Americas based in New York. In addition to strategic consulting services, since 2015, Mark has facilitated over $5 billion of renewable energy, digital, FttH, transportation and other infrastructure investments and financings.
As Global CEO and CIO based in NYC, Mark established JPMorgan’s Infrastructure Investments platform in 2005 growing it to $10 billion AUM by 2014. Prior to 2004, Mark was Head of Private Markets at the CPP Investment Board in Toronto, where he developed and implemented Private Equity, Venture, Real Estate and Infrastructure investment strategies, and established strategic partnerships, totaling $7 billion.
Prior to 2000, Mark was a senior investment banker and executive in Toronto, at HSBC Canada (Deputy CEO), CIBC World Markets, and Merrill Lynch Canada. Mark is a CPA, CA, CFA and CBV; served on the Board of the ILPA, and was founding Chair of its Research, Benchmarking & Standards Committee. Mark is a past President of the University of Toronto Alumni Association, where he obtained a B. Comm.
